Baikal adventures

Departure for an excursion to the Barguzin valley. 

The valley has a unique location, microclimate and relief, culture and history of the peoples who inhabited and inhabit it, rich flora and fauna, places of power of Buddhist and shamanic faith. 

The first landmark point will be the village of Barguzin, the first Cossack prison on the territory of Transbaikalia.

Barguzin is a famous place of political exile (Decembrists and Polish rebels). 

Then transfer to Ulyun. 

Lunch of Buryat national cuisine. 

Transfer to the palace of the Goddess Yanzhima (a Buddhist temple complex located at the foot of the Barguzin ridge), a walk to the place of manifestation of the "face of the goddess" (goddess Yanzhima is the patroness of women and people of creative professions), people come here to seek inspiration, as well as with requests for a child and the search for the other half. 

The next point of the trip is a beautiful bend of the river overlooking the Barguzin ridge. 

We cross the valley and go to the Ikat ridge, here we will stop at the place "Buhe shulun" (bull stone), this is a shamanic place of power. 

According to local legends, the bull-stone is considered the master of the Barguzin Valley. 

Then we go to the Suva Castle, the huge rocky remnants of the Bodon spur of the Ikat ridge resemble the ruins of an ancient castle.

Climbing on the rocks, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire valley and the Barguzin ridge.

Departure for an excursion to the Trans-Baikal National Park. 

A visit to the modern visitor center "Reserved Podlemore", after a tour of the center we go to the Bormashev lakes, here we will have the first point for swimming.

The water here is very warm and warms up well, and is also rich in minerals. 

We will make our next stop on the shore of the Barguzin Bay on the longest beach on Lake Baikal (24 km).

The Barguzin Bay is the largest and deepest on Lake Baikal, while overlooking the Holy Nose Peninsula, a cult place for photos! After driving along the isthmus, we head to Chivyrkuysky Bay, the warmest and one of the most beautiful on Lake Baikal.

We climb to the observation deck, which offers a picturesque view of the Chivyrkuysky Bay and its islands, from here we can also see the snow-capped peaks of the Barguzin ridge.

Boarding a boat and crossing the sea to the Ushkany Islands, the largest rookery of the Baikal seal.

In the archipelago of the Ushkany Islands, we can observe the seal in its natural habitat. 

Then we return back to the Chivyrkuysky Bay and enter the Serpentine Bay, famous for its thermal springs. 

After the tour, we return to the hotel.

Today we have rafting on the Barguzin River. 

The alloy is not categorical, there are no thresholds and strong currents, the duration of the alloy is about 1 hour. 

Then relax on the secluded beach of the Barguzin Bay, visit the campsite with a sauna and a steam bath. 

Lunch cooked over a campfire. 

Return to the hotel.

Return to Ulan-Ude.

Sightseeing tour of the city, souvenir shopping, lunch.

Excursion to the "Old Believers of Transbaikalia".

The ethnocultural program "Visiting the Semeyskys" includes a visit to the manor house, acquaintance with the way of life and lifestyle of the Old Believers, participation in folklore rituals and games, a comic wedding and a photo shoot in folk costumes.

Performance of an ethnographic ensemble with songs and ditties. 

Dinner of Old Russian cuisine.

We say goodbye to Buryatia: after breakfast at the hotel, representatives of the company will take you to the airport.
