Itinerary

Day 1 - Listvyanka. The Circum-Baikal Railway. Baikal fish tasting
Group gathering:
airport – 8:00-8:30, inside the building at the exit to the city (opposite the baggage claim);
Railway station – 9:00-9:30, inside the building at the exit to the city (suburban ticket offices).
We have breakfast in a cafe, discuss the upcoming program and go on our first acquaintance with Lake Baikal – we go to Listvyanka.
The 70 km long road runs along the picturesque Baikal highway, in some places of which there is a view of the beautiful bays of the beautiful Angara.
At the entrance to the village, we will definitely make a stop at the Shaman Stone, visit the Baikal Museum, where a unique aquarium with Baikal inhabitants is installed, here we will get acquainted with the sweetest seals, visit the St. Nicholas Church.
After lunch at the restaurant we go on a water trip: The Circum-Baikal Railway.
Forbes magazine has included KBZHD among the most beautiful railway routes in the world.
We will disembark in several places.
Let's admire the unique structures and walk through the tunnels.
Return to Listvyanka.
Tasting of Baikal fish, you will not try this in any restaurant!
Souvenirs and fish can also be purchased here.
Return to Irkutsk, accommodation at the hotel.

Day 2 - Olkhon is the heart of Lake Baikal
After an early breakfast, we go to the central part of Lake Baikal – to the Small Sea and the island of Olkhon.
According to local beliefs, you should always go to Lake Baikal with a pure soul and thoughts and appeasing the local spirits. Therefore, we will make a stop at a place that is significant for the local population, where you will learn about shamanism and local traditions.
After passing the village of Yelants, entering the Tazheran gate, we will stop at the bronze figure of a flying eagle, the patron saint of the steppe expanses of Tazheran and Olkhon.
From here you can enjoy a stunning view of the expanses of Tagheran. This is a truly unique natural complex. The age of the Tagheran massif is about 400 million years old. This is one of the most interesting geological sites on Lake Baikal.
And then we will stop at the observation deck of the Kurkuta Bay.
The shores of Lake Baikal are already visible from here.
We take the ferry to Olkhon Island, where UAZ loaves are already waiting for us, the best mode of transport for this area. We get into the cars and get ready for a trip around Olkhon.
Olkhon is the largest island on Lake Baikal, and our tour runs from the southernmost tip of the island to its central part – the sacred Cape Burkhan - one of the nine shrines of Asia, you certainly saw in the photos of Lake Baikal.
We walk, enjoy the wonderful view and make sure to make the most intimate wish!
You will have free time to walk along the Saraysky beach, you can also sunbathe and swim here.
We'll have lunch on the island and dinner on the way.
Today we are trying the most delicious Baikal cuisine.
We are returning to Irkutsk

The duration of the journey from Irkutsk to Olkhon is 4-5 hours in one direction.

Day 3 - Arshan – mountainous Siberian Switzerland
Early breakfast.
We are going to the Tunka Valley, Arshan.
The road passes through the picturesque Siberian taiga, through the southernmost part of Lake Baikal – the village of Kultuk, here is the Kultuk serpentine with a magnificent view of the mighty lake!
We turn off the federal highway, go to the Tunka valley: fields, meadows, the Irkut River are the most beautiful landscapes of this area.
And in the distance – the fascinating Tunka Loaches – the easternmost spur of the Eastern Sayan.
Arrival in Arshan, lunch.
For lunch, we will taste Buryat cuisine and, of course, the famous buzas!
The cuisine here is very tasty and satisfying.
Walking tour to the waterfalls of the Kyngarga river.
The tour takes you to the first waterfall.
The first and most visited of the waterfalls is located at a distance of 1.5 kilometers from the Arshan resort.
A well-equipped trail along the left bank of the river leads to this waterfall.
After the waterfall, visit the Buddhist datsan "Bodhidharma".
We return to Irkutsk late in the evening.

Breakfast at the hotel.
The end of the tour.
Check-out time at the hotel is 12:00, the room must be vacated before 12:00 or extended on the spot.
Additionally, it is possible to book a transfer to the airport or to the railway station (paid separately).
