Getting to know the Baikal ice and the mystical Arshan. Tunka Valley awaits us, a walk to the waterfalls, tasting Buryat traditional cuisine and bathing in hot springs. And then we will walk on the ice, take pictures, skate and go on a Khivus to the ice caves on the Small Sea.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - The ice of Lake Baikal. A delightful trip to Bolshoe Goloustnoe

    Welcome to Irkutsk! 

    Gathering a group:

    • 8-8:30 – airport, inside the building at the exit to the city (opposite the baggage claim);
    • 9-9:30 – railway station, inside the building at the exit to the city (suburban ticket offices).

    If you are late to the gathering place of the group, the tourist gets to the group along the route on his own, at his own expense. 

    We have breakfast in a cafe, discuss the upcoming program and then go on our first acquaintance with the Baikal ice. 

    The ice of Lake Baikal is very different, beautiful and unique in every place.

    Today we will have a delightful trip to Bolshoe Goloustnoe.

    It is here that millions of bubbles are formed, frozen in ice.

    We walk on the ice, take pictures. 

    Those who wish can rent skates.

    Lunch during the tour. 

    Return to Irkutsk, accommodation at the hotel. 

    Dinner on your own.

Irkut Hotel is located in the center of Irkutsk, just a 5-minute walk from Kirov Park. It offers a shared lounge and a 24-hour front desk. The Angara Embankment is 500 metres away.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • Necessary clothes and shoes:
    • warm and stable shoes;
    • a warm windproof jacket (preferably with a hood);
    • trousers – with the same qualities as the jacket;
    • the hat is better synthetic, with a non-blown membrane;
    • warm two-layer scarf;
    • non-blown gloves and mittens (gloves can be made of fleece, mittens must be with protective material) it is better to take both;
    • thermal underwear;
    • fleece;
    • sweater, T-shirt;
    • trekking winter socks (moisture-absorbing) + wool socks. (and light cotton ones);
  • Camping equipment:
    • sunscreen;
    • sunglasses (you can also take a ski mask);
    • thermos (at your discretion);
    • first aid kit (personal);

Also, for the convenience of moving with personal belongings, you can take a backpack up to 40 liters or a small bag (in addition to a suitcase / bag that will be located at the hotel).
