Itinerary

Day 1 - Irkutsk city tour. The estate of the Volkonsky Decembrists. Listvyanka
10:00 – start of the route from Irkutsk airport.
You must arrive in Irkutsk no later than 09:00.
Immediately after the meeting of the whole group, our acquaintance with Irkutsk begins.
The tour program includes only the most significant places in the history of Irkutsk.
After enjoying the picturesque beauty of the city and feeling the sharp Siberian frost on our cheeks and noses, we go to a restaurant of traditional Russian cuisine for lunch.
One of the main pages in the history of Irkutsk are the Decembrists, so after a hearty lunch we go to visit the estate of the Volkonsky Decembrists.
After the tour of the house museum, we will have a musical evening with cool champagne to the sounds of Maria Volkonskaya's piano.
After a rich cultural program, we go to the long-awaited meeting with Lake Baikal in Listvyanka village.
On the way, we will make a stop at the source of the Angara, the only river flowing out of Lake Baikal.
We will live at the Baikal Hotel.
Meals: lunch.

Day 2 - The Baikal Museum. Climbing the Chersky Stone. New Year's Banquet
We will not spend today slicing Olivier salad, searching for mayonnaise or watching "Irony of Fate", but we will devote it to exploring Lake Baikal.
After breakfast, at 9:30 we will go to the Baikal Museum, where we will get acquainted with the main endemic of the lake – the Baikal seal.
At the end of the tour, we will take a virtual dive to the bottom of the lake.
After a rich scientific and educational program, we go to the traditional Baikal cuisine.
Let's try sagudai, signature fish soup, freshly caught fish stewed in cream with vegetables (each dish is made only from Baikal fish) and Siberian pancakes with honey / sour cream.
Next, we will take a chairlift to the Chersky Stone observation deck, which offers stunning views of the soaring Lake Baikal, the source of the Angara River and the opposite shore with snow–capped ridges.
Having felt the frosty breath of Lake Baikal, we are going to prepare for the new year, because today we will meet him in the restaurant of the Baikal hotel in the cheerful company of Santa Claus.

Day 3 - Dog sledding and snowmobiling
After celebrating the new year, we will get a good night's sleep and gain strength to feel cheerful and cheerful, because there is a very interesting and active day ahead.
At 13:00 we go for lunch to a restaurant with a panoramic view of the soaring Lake Baikal.
Having refreshed ourselves, we go to a meeting for winter fabulous adventures!
First, dog sledding in the snowy Siberian taiga awaits us.
The unforgettable feeling of riding with the wind on a snow-covered road, as if I found myself in distant Lapland, but no, this is our native Baikal!
Further – more: a breathtaking snowmobile ride through the winter forest awaits us.
On the way, we will make stops in the most beautiful places to take unique winter photos, lie in soft snowdrifts or bring down snow enveloping mighty trees.
Having had fun from the bottom of our hearts, we go to relax at the hotel and prepare for a meeting with the Baikal ice.

Day 4 - The Taltsy Museum. Departure
We have breakfast in a restaurant overlooking Lake Baikal in the morning and once again go for a walk on the purest transparent ice, because after breakfast we go to Irkutsk.
9:30 a.m. – start of the route.
On the way, we will visit a unique collection of historical and architectural monuments of the peoples of Eastern Siberia of the XVIII-XX century — the Taltsy Museum.
It is one of the five largest open-air museums.
During the tour, we will learn about the cultural and everyday features of the life of the Baikal peoples, as well as walk in giant skis and arrange a race on stilts.
After having fun at the museum, we return to Irkutsk.
Approximately at 13:00 we will take you to the airport and wait for you to meet again – in summer, spring or autumn.
After all, Baikal is beautiful at any time of the year!

The hotel underwent a major renovation and opened its doors to all travelers in July 2023. A cozy stay, delicious breakfasts and high-class hotel service will make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is located far from the noise of the central Listvyanka street, on a hill, which guarantees a picturesque view of Lake Baikal and a peaceful atmosphere of relaxation. In the tour program, we offer accommodation in a 2-bed comfortable room with two separate beds. Some of the rooms overlook Lake Baikal, some of them overlook the Siberian taiga. The room size is 20 sq.m. Each room has a wardrobe, bedside table, chest of drawers, mirror, full bathroom, air conditioning, dressing table with mirror, Wi-Fi, Mini fridge, balcony.

It's important to know

a warm jacket or down jacket, warm trousers, preferably windproof (a ski suit will be very comfortable) the suit should be non-draughty and very warm, as well as everything else. We sharpen the blowouts: the winds on Lake Baikal are strong and cold. A down jacket and a jumpsuit are a great option for an expedition!

good shoes are the key to your comfort. It is necessary that the shoes be warm and of high quality. You can take shoes made of both natural and artificial materials with you – each type has its advantages. For example, you will definitely not freeze in boots, but at the same time sports shoes are much lighter and more dynamic, artificial insulation dries faster. What you need to pay attention to: high-quality insulation, membranes, non-slip sole. Comfortable warm boots (without heels), preferably high. So that you can comfortably walk on snow and ice;
