Itinerary

Day 1 - The road to Olkhon Island, Tazheran steppes
Autumn is a great time to relax on Lake Baikal.
You will be greeted by a beautiful blue sky reflected in the water of the lake and a golden forest spread along the shores.
At this time, there are few vacationers on the island, the activity of ticks is at a minimum, so you can safely go for a walk around Olkhon Island and its surroundings.
Upon arrival in Irkutsk, the journey to the heart of Lake Baikal – Olkhon Island begins.
Olkhon is a truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Lake Baikal, which is rightfully called a place of power and especially powerful energy!
Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, a concentration of shamanism in Central Asia.
It is visited by pilgrims from all over the world.
You will leave Irkutsk approximately at 10 a.m.
The path will run along roads with picturesque views – you will touch the charm of the Baikal nature on the way to Olkhon.
Your way to the ferry crossing will be along the “Martian Road”, as our guests often say about the Tagheran steppes.
Landscapes really transport you to some kind of alien reality!
You will get to Olkhon Island by ferry, and then go along the steppe part of Olkhon to its center – the village of Khuzhir, where you will check into camp sites.
In the evening, you have free time, which you can spend exploring the surroundings of the village.
There are few vacationers in the autumn period, so you can enjoy the silence and solitude, immerse yourself in harmony with nature and enjoy the charming golden-crimson expanses.
Within walking distance from the hotels on Olkhon is the business card of Lake Baikal – Cape Burkhan (Shamanka rock).
Shamanka is one of the shrines of Asia.
Guests of the island celebrate the energy of the place ringing in the air, you can feel it on your skin and it is difficult to find words to express delight!
After enjoying the beautiful views, imbued with the energy of the sacred place, your first day of travel is coming to an end.
Tomorrow you will have an even closer acquaintance with Lake Baikal and Olkhon.
You will see: Tazheran steppes, ferry crossing, Cape Burkhan, Shamanka rock, Serge pillars.

Day 2 - Excursion to the north of Olkhon Island
Today you will immerse yourself even more in the atmosphere of Olkhon Island.
After breakfast, you will go on an excursion to the picturesque part of the island – to the north, to Cape Khoboy.
The cape is located in the very north of the island.
Its name is translated from the language of the local population as “fang”, and indeed, the rocky steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs.
And together with the amazingly blue water surface, they create beautiful bright natural paintings.
Being near the edge of the cape, Lake Baikal seems endless, its greatness and spaciousness are felt!
You will also visit Cape of Love (or Cape Shunte-Left).
Locals say that childless couples used to come to the cape, and after the rituals and prayers, they soon had children.
It is believed that the cape has not lost its magical power to this day.
The cape is distinguished by the characteristic shapes of the rocks, and the views from there are fascinating!
In addition, as part of the tour, you will capture Cape Sagan-Khushun (or "Three Brothers"), a sheer cliff of snow–white marble.
A beautiful legend about the three brothers is associated with this cape – they will definitely tell it to you, and being there, listening to the legend, you feel like a participant or at least a witness of the events described.
After that, you will go further along the island: there are picturesque steppes around and suddenly an almost eight–meter bronze sculpture in the form of an unusual tree appears in front of your eyes - this is the creation of the famous sculptor Dasha Namdakov “Keeper of Lake Baikal”, his gift to Lake Baikal.
The sculpture is located at some distance from the roads, on a hill. It looks extremely authentic and majestic!
In the middle of the day, you will strengthen your strength by eating a fragrant lunch against the backdrop of beautiful Baikal nature!
The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take wonderful photos for memory.
Returning to the hotel, you can devote the evening to a walk, rest.
You will see: Cape Sagan-Khushun, Cape of Love, Cape Khoboy, sculpture by Dasha Namdakov “Keeper of Lake Baikal".

Day 3 - The road to Irkutsk. Completion of the tour program
After breakfast, you will set off on your way back to Irkutsk.
These eventful 3 days will introduce you to Lake Baikal in the off–season - the best time to feel the energy of the lake alone with your thoughts!

If you wish, you can complement your unforgettable trip to Olkhon and add an excursion to the south of the island. You will visit such places as: "Rock Garden", a lonely birch tree, the sunniest part of the island – Khalzany Falls. For more information, you will need to contact your tour organizer. The excursion is not included in the price of the tour, it is paid additionally.

Olkhon Camping is located in Khuzhir. You can come here and check in with your pet. Private parking is provided for car owners, which can be booked upon prior reservation.

Comfortable rooms divided into different categories are provided for the accommodation of guests. Each includes comfortable beds, necessary furniture. Some rooms offer magnificent views of the mountain or lake. The reception is open 24 hours a day. Several rooms have TVs.

You can have a delicious and satisfying meal at the local restaurant, which serves various dishes from the menu. There is a barbecue area on site.
