Spring and summer acquaintance with Lake Baikal

Breakfast.

Boarding a retro car (UAZ). 

We cross the Olkhonsky Gate Strait and go to get acquainted with the most famous island of Olkhon on Lake Baikal. 

First of all, we will visit the legendary Shamanka rock (Cape Burkhan). 

A conversation about the traditions and religion of the local population. 

We are going "to the edge of the Earth" – Cape Khoboy, we will visit the Three Brothers rock ensemble (Sagan Khushun), whose silhouettes were immortalized in stone by a mighty and just father. 

You will learn a lot about Lake Baikal, hear fascinating legends, and the impressions will remain the most vivid and, of course, unforgettable!

A hot lunch awaits you during the tour. 

We return to the hotel.

In the morning, one of two excursions will be held:

1) Tour of the Tazheran steppe. You will see the mouth of the Anga River and Mount Erd, ancient petroglyphs, the valley of stone spirits and Mount Tan Khan.

2) Tour of the southern part of Olkhon Island. You will see Lake Hankhoi, the Trident rock, the remains of the ancient Kurykan wall, Cape Kobylya Golova. 

Lunch at a cafe (to your taste). 

Transfer to Irkutsk.

Accommodation at the hotel. 

Supper.

Transfer to the southern part of Lake Baikal to the village of Arshan, located at the foot of the Eastern Sayan mountain range in the central part of the Tunka Valley. 

You can have lunch in a cafe to your taste (not included in the price). 

A walk to the drinking pump room. 

There is such a law in the Buryat land: if you took something, then give something else in return. 

If a person has drunk the healing water given by the spirits (ezhins) of the sacred place, be kind and leave thanks for the generosity. 

As guests, we will be very happy to perform a thanksgiving ceremony, treat Eugene with wine, tie satin ribbons as a sign of great respect and continue our journey in peace.

On the day of departure, we will also not forget to honor the spirits of Arshan with a request to grant health and longevity, and gratitude for a wonderful vacation. 

A walk along the waterfalls of the Kyngargi River.

The mineral waters of Arshan have a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract. 

The purest mountain air combined with mineral water has an extraordinary healing effect for tired urban residents, and the trail to the waterfalls of the Kyngargi River, according to ancient beliefs, prolongs a person's life for as many years as he has been to Arshan.

We will definitely visit the Khoimorsky datsan, located in a quiet and peaceful place near the village of Arshan. 

A traditional building made in Oriental style in compliance with all Buddhist rules.

Then we go to Slyudyanka.

At 9:00 we leave for the railway station.

Inspection of the unique station building made of marble, the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

At 10:00, boarding the Train (NOT an excursion train!), on which we will pass along the Circum-Baikal railway, built back in tsarist times (1900-1905). 

The stops will not be long – 3-10 minutes, so it is not advisable to get out of the car.

For those who wish, we can offer trekking along the KBZHD, and then cross the world's widest river source on foot! 

Tracking: you will have to walk a 10-kilometer section of the path to admire this magnificent monument of engineering art, as well as walk through the tunnels.

At 16:00-18:00 we arrive in Listvyanka.

Visit to the only museum in Russia about Lake Baikal.

The Limnological museum provides very accessible information about the great lake. 

Visit the aquariums of the museum and a virtual dive to the bottom of Lake Baikal! 

The ascent to the observation peak is the "Chersky Stone". 

A picturesque panorama opens from the observation deck: a view of the entire Larch Bay, the famous source of the Angara and the legendary Shaman stone. 

Lunch at the cafe of your choice (not included in the price). 

After lunch, some free time to buy souvenirs.

You can also visit the nerpinary for an additional fee.

16:00 Transfer Listvyanka – Irkutsk. 

On the way back we will visit the ethnographic museum of Taltsy.

Arrival in Irkutsk is approximately at 18:00.
