Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting. The road to Olkhon. The Golden Horde Ethno-Park
The gathering of the group in Irkutsk is at 10:00.
You must arrive in the city no later than 09:30.
Upon arrival, you will be met by our accompanying guide.
Combined transfer from Irkutsk to Olkhon Island.
The journey takes 5 hours.
An hour after leaving the city, a visit to the Golden Horde Ethnic Park.
You will have a short tour in the ethnographic museum, during which a performance from the artists of the museum, throat singing, playing the national instrument – khomuz.
In addition, you will learn how to dance the Buryat folk dance-round dance “Ekhor".
Lunch is served after the performance.
Today, national Buryat dishes are on the menu.
Then our way lies to the ferry crossing to Olkhon Island.
Our friendly guide will guide you through the ferry crossing and then hand you over to our drivers who will take you to the hotel.
In the evening, arrival at Olkhon Island, accommodation in rooms.
Dinner on your own.
After that, everyone can go for a walk around Khuzhir.

Day 2 - Cape Khoboy
9:00 Breakfast at the recreation center.
After breakfast, we go on an excursion trip to Cape Khoboy.
The duration of the tour is about six hours.
During the tour you will visit:
the village of Kharantsi, where you will see the islands of the Lion Cub and the Crocodile.
The picturesque cape "Three Brothers" is a marble cliff covered with lichens.
Cape Shunte Left (Cape of Love), where you will make your most intimate wishes.
the scandalous sculpture by the modern artist “The Keeper of Lake Baikal".
the area of Uzura. Here you will feel the power of the "Big" Baikal.
You always want to refresh yourself in nature, during the tour you will have a picnic lunch and hot tea with Baikal herbs.

Day 3 - Free day
Today is declared a free day, in which everyone can relax as they want.
For example, you can swim and sunbathe on the beach, ride a bike, go to a museum, buy souvenirs or just get some sleep.
And you can also choose an excursion to your liking.
There are quite a lot of options, the managers will tell you in more detail when booking a tour.
Here is an approximate list and prices:
excursion to the south of Olkhon island (~ 3,000 rubles/person);
bicycle rental (~ 700 rubles/day/person);
catamaran, kayak or surfboard rental (from 1,000 rubles);
horse riding (2,000 rubles);
a trip to Ogoy Island by boat (~ 3,500 rubles);
a visit to the hot Siberian bathhouse.

Day 4 - Transfer to Irkutsk. Departure
After breakfast, you will have some time to walk to Shamanka Rock, Sarai beach and Khuzhir, because today you will leave Olkhon.
At 12:00 check-out from the hotel and transfer to Irkutsk.
On the way to the city, we will make a stop at the prayer pillars to ask for good luck and say goodbye to the spirits of Lake Baikal, as well as eat delicious Buryat dishes for the last time.
Arrival in Irkutsk at about 18:00.

Good afternoon! We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the organizers of the “Taste of Lake Baikal” tour, which we enjoyed from July 15 to July 18. The entire experience was flawlessly arranged, with every detail thoughtfully considered! Special thanks to manager Kirill, who was always available and took excellent care of us throughout the trip. Our group was small—just five people—which was a real advantage for us as travelers! We felt like VIPs in Irkutsk! Our guides, Alyona and driver Roman Kondratiev, shared so much about the history of Irkutsk and the incredible places we visited. Their laid-back storytelling kept it interesting, giving us insights that most tourists don’t get. The choice to use a car for such a small group was perfect—flexible, comfortable, and easy to hear everything. From the initial greeting to our final departure, we were so well looked after. The program was rich and engaging without a single wasted moment! Irkutsk is a beautiful city, full of amazing people and historic sites, and we were fortunate to have enthusiastic guides who truly love what they do. We highly recommend this tour to everyone! It left us with the very best memories.
