Itinerary

Day 1 - A trip to the heart of Lake Baikal – Olkhon Island
Today begins the journey to the heart of Lake Baikal – Olkhon Island (gathering place: Angara hotel or airport, the exact time will be sent by the organizer the day before).
Olkhon is a truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Lake Baikal, which is rightfully called a place of power and especially powerful energy!
Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, the concentration of shamanism in Central Asia.
It is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. According to legend, Genghis Khan is buried here.
You will depart from Irkutsk at approximately 10 a.m.
The path will run along roads with picturesque views – you will touch the charm of Baikal nature on the way to Olkhon.
Your way to the ferry crossing will be along the "Martian Road", as our tourists often say about the Tajeran steppes.
The landscapes really transport you to some kind of alien reality!
You will get to Olkhon Island by ferry, and then drive through the steppe part of Olkhon to its center, the village of Khuzhir, where you will check into hotels.
In the evening, you have free time to spend exploring the surroundings of the village.
Within walking distance from the hotels on Olkhon is the calling card of Lake Baikal – Cape Burkhan (Shamanka rock).
Shamanka is one of the attractions of the Baikal National Park.
Tourists note the energy of the place ringing in the air, you can feel it on your skin and it's hard to find words to express delight!

Day 2 - Excursion to the north of the island to Cape Khoboy
Today you will immerse yourself even more in the atmosphere of Lake Baikal.
After breakfast, you will drive to the real local attraction – the most passable transport on the island of Olkhon, the UAZ or GAZ car – to the north of the island of Olkhon.
The northern part of the island is completely different from what you previously saw on Olkhon on the way to the village of Khuzhir.
This is not only the vast expanses of the steppes, but also impenetrable taiga, sand dunes, and even stilted trees.
As part of the tour, you will visit Cape Sagan-Khushun (or "Three Brothers"), a sheer cliff of snow–white marble.
The views from here will amaze you with their scale!
After that, you will reach the most popular location in the northern part of Olkhon – Cape Khoboy.
The cape is located in the very north of the island.
Its name translates from the language of the local population as "fang", and indeed, the rocky steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs.
And together with the amazingly blue water surface, they create beautiful vivid natural paintings.
From the water, the outline of the cape resembles the figure of a woman, who is associated with the legend that the Gods of Tengri made a stone statue of her because of her excessive greed, and she is destined to remain a stone as long as there is envy on Earth!
On Khoboy, you will have a delicious picnic lunch in the fresh air, after which you will go to an energetically very strong place on Olkhon - Cape Lyubov (or Cape Shunte-Levy).
Locals say that childless couples used to come to the cape, and after rituals and prayers, they would soon have children.
It is believed that the cape has not lost its magical power to this day.
In addition, as part of the tour, you will capture the amazing and impressive modern sculpture "Keeper of Lake Baikal", made by the famous sculptor Dashi Namdakov.
It was a gift to Lake Baikal, which has now become a tourist attraction.
In the evening you will return back to Khuzhir, the remaining time of the day can be devoted to horseback riding (it is necessary to inform in advance before departure to Olkhon).
You will find: Cape Sagan-Khushun, Cape Lyubov, Cape Khoboy, sculpture "Keeper of Lake Baikal".

Day 3 - Farewell to Olkhon, the road to Irkutsk
On this day, our journey through Olkhon is coming to an end.
Breakfast awaits you in the morning and you will have the opportunity to take a last walk around Olkhon.
In the morning, departure to Irkutsk, from where your adventure to the Eastern Sayan Mountains will begin tomorrow.

Day 4 - A trip to the Eastern Sayan Mountains
Today begins an exciting journey to the mountains of the Eastern Sayan Mountains.
The path will run along a picturesque road, framed on the right by a string of mighty and majestic mountains, at the foot of which lies a plain, decorated here and there with villages.
The purpose of today's trip is the village of Arshan, comfortably located at the foot of the Tunka Chars.
Upon arrival in the village, you will be checked in and have a sightseeing tour.
A walk through the village is in itself a pleasant pastime, a real delight for your eyes: high mountains are constantly drawn in front of your eyes, and the fresh air invigorates and uplifts your mood!
During the tour, the guide will tell you about the unique nature around the village of Arshan, together you will climb to the waterfalls, gracefully frozen in winter, taste the healing water of mineral springs – the composition of the mineral water of Arshan is close to the Caucasian Narzan.
Visit 2 Buddhist datsans and a large souvenir market – here you can buy excellent tonic preparations based on the local herb sagan-dayla and other medicines, souvenirs.
In the evening, you will have free time for walking and relaxing.

Day 5 - Visit to the Pearl hot springs
After breakfast at the hotel, you will go to the hot springs.
The hot springs are 45 km away from Arshan, where you spent the day before.
The pools are open all year round, and swimming in the hot springs when the winter cold reigns is an especially pleasant pleasure!
The unique properties of water have a beneficial effect on the body and health, so visiting hot springs is one of the favorite ways for tourists to relax and replenish the body.
After swimming in the hot springs, you will set off on your way back through the picturesque Tunka Valley.

Olkhon Island is reached by ice crossing in the winter season and by ferry in the summer.
In the off-season on khivus (hovercraft). If the ice crossing does not work for climatic reasons, then the tourist pays for the crossing on Khivus himself.
In the period April-May, we recommend that tourists take care of the tick vaccination in advance or take out tick insurance.
