Transfer to the Taltsy Architectural and Ethnographic Museum.

Taltsy is a unique collection of monuments of architecture, history and ethnography of the XVII–XX centuries. Four historical and cultural zones have been recreated in the museum: Buryat, Evenk, Tofalar and Russian.

Buryats, Evenks and Tofs are the indigenous peoples of the Baikal region.

The funds of the Taltsy Museum number more than 29,000 exhibits.

The open-air museum complex attracts visitors with the opportunity to get acquainted with the material and spiritual culture of the peoples of the Baikal region. (entrance fee is extra)

Transfer to the village of Listvyanka.

The name of the village was given to larch trees, which grow here in large numbers. At the end of the XIX century, Anton Pavlovich Chekhov was fascinated by the beauty of these places, comparing the settlement with Yalta. Listvyanka is located 65 kilometers from Irkutsk, at the source of the Angara River, on the shore of Lake Baikal.

The Baikal Museum of the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences received the status of an independent research institution in 1993.

It collects and stores scientific data on climate, flora, fauna, water and the mutual influence of the lake and the environment.

It is important that scientific information is presented to visitors in an understandable form (entrance fees are paid additionally).

The Buryats are one of the most numerous nationalities that inhabit the territory of Siberia, and the Ust-Ordynsky district is interesting because the foundations of the traditional culture of the Buryats are passed down from generation to generation here.

Excursion to the National Museum of the Ust-Ordynsky Buryat district.

The museum's collections contain objects of ethnography, archeology and photographic documents.

The Buryat Peasant Manor complex of the late XIX-early XX century is also located on the territory of the museum (entrance ticket is paid additionally).

This is the northernmost cape on the island of Olkhon.

Cape Khoboy is located near the widest point of Lake Baikal (79.5 km), and only in good weather from it you can see the eastern shore, the mountainous contour of the Holy Nose Peninsula.

On the way, stops at Cape Kharantsi, Cape of love (Shunte), at the three Brothers rock, in Sandy Bay.

Return to the village of Khuzhir.

For those who wish, a tour of the Circum-Baikal Railway (KBZHD).

The Circum-Baikal Railway is a unique monument of engineering architecture.

Today, speaking of the KBZHD, they mean its western part from the source of the Angara River to the city of Slyudyanka (71-168 km.), which is withdrawn from transit traffic.

No railway in the world has as many man-made objects as this section of the KBZHD.

For 85 kilometers, tunnels, drainage channels, bridges, retaining walls from a century ago have been preserved here, all this against the background of capes and cliffs, exposed rocks during the construction of the road, picturesque river valleys (extra charge).
