Day 1 - The road from Irkutsk to Olkhon Island. Overnight trip to the ice
Upon arrival in Irkutsk, you will be met at the airport or at the Angara hotel, after which the trip to Lake Baikal will begin.
On a group transfer, you will travel to the heart of Lake Baikal – Olkhon Island.
Olkhon is a truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Lake Baikal, which is rightfully called a place of power and especially powerful energy!
Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, a concentration of shamanism in Central Asia.
You will depart from Irkutsk at approximately 10 a.m.
The path will run through an area with scenic views.
Part of the road will pass through the Tajeran steppes, decorated here and there with rocky remnants.
Guests often refer to this segment of the journey as the "Martian" one.
The landscapes really transport you to some kind of alien reality!
Olkhon is an island, and they get to it in winter by crossing an ice crossing.
After crossing, you will find about 40 km more along the steppes of Olkhon, and then you will reach the center of the island – the village of Khuzhir.
In the evening, you have free time to spend exploring the surroundings of the village.
Within walking distance from the hotels on Olkhon is the calling card of Lake Baikal – Cape Burkhan (Shamanka rock).
Shamanka is one of the shrines of Asia.
Be sure to take a walk to Shamanka Rock and try to feel the energy of this place and the power of Lake Baikal!
After enjoying the beautiful views, imbued with the energy of the sacred place, your first day of travel is coming to an end.
But that's not all, because you will have a night trip to the ice of Lake Baikal!
The night will reveal the real magic of Lake Baikal.
Under the cover of the stars, you will embark on a journey through the icy expanse of the lake with an experienced guide.
Here, in the midst of silence, you will feel the "breath" of Lake Baikal – its quiet whisper coming from the thickness of the ice.
The splendor of this moment cannot be expressed in words: you will hear how the ancient lake lives under its icy shell, feeling its pulse through the silence of the night.

After completing the tour, you will return to Khuzhir.
Tomorrow you will have an even closer look at Lake Baikal and Olkhon.

Day 2 - Olkhon Island North Tour
Today you will immerse yourself even more in the atmosphere of Lake Baikal.
The tour starts at 10:00 a.m. and lasts 5 hours.
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour.
Today you will have a real adventure on the legendary Baikal ice.
You will go to the northern part of Olkhon, see from the ice the outlines and amazing images of the Olkhon coastal cliffs, the marble walls of Cape Sagan-Khushun.
You will spend the longest time at Cape Khoboy – its rocky, steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs, which perfectly emphasizes the name (the name translates from the language of the local population as "fang").
From the ice, the outline of the cape resembles the figure of a woman – an interesting local legend is connected with this, which you will be told about during the tour.
In the middle of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the fresh air, surrounded by the winter Baikal beauty of nature.
The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take wonderful photos for memory.
If you wish, you can go ice skating, be sure to take them with you.
If necessary, you can rent skates (check with the organizer of your tour, skate rental is not included in the price).
The time for the guided tour is approximately 20 minutes.
Back at the hotel, you will have a free evening.
Depending on the ice conditions, an excursion to the north of Olkhon on the ice will be replaced by an excursion on land, that is, the movement will be on land without going out on the ice.
All locations announced on the tour will be visited.
The only difference is in the overview – tourists watch the capes from below from the ice, walk on the ice, on land – before the eyes of tourists, pictures of the vast Baikal open from above.

Day 3 - The road to Irkutsk. Golden Horde Ethnic Park
Your tour program is coming to an end today.
In the afternoon, at the hotel, you will find the way back to Irkutsk via the ice crossing on Lake Baikal.
There will be a stop at the Golden Horde Ethnic Park on the way.
Here you will get acquainted with the ethnocultural identity of the indigenous population of Lake Baikal, you will be presented with an exciting program, and after that you will have an amazingly delicious lunch in a colorful authentic yurt.
You have got acquainted with winter Baikal, its legendary ice!

The Port Olkhon Hotel complex is located in the urban-type settlement of Khuzhir, in a place where you can forget about the outside world and enjoy the beauty of nature. It offers high-speed Wi-Fi access and free parking space.

The hotel offers 48 fully equipped rooms, which are decorated with natural materials.
The hotel has five different room categories: single rooms, art rooms, double attic rooms, family rooms, apartments. Each room has ergonomic furniture, a TV, a table and chairs. The private bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer, slippers, bathrobe and toiletries.

There is a restaurant with author's cuisine on site. The menu features Buryat and Siberian cuisine. In summer, there is a terrace with beautiful views of Lake Baikal. You can enjoy delicious coffee in the coffee shop.

At a distance of 1.8 kilometers there is one of the nine shrines of Asia – the Shamanka rock. And next to it, along the coast stretches the "Sarai" beach, according to the locals, the most picturesque place on the island.

Meeting place and time of the group: from the Angara Hotel (Sukhbaatar str., 7, Irkutsk) during the period from 09.00 to 09.30 local time and from Irkutsk airport at 10.00.
A day before the start of the tour, a group will be created in the Telegram messenger, where all organizational information about the tour will be provided. Please install the Telegram app on your phone in advance.
The tour operator has the right to replace the hotel listed in the list with a similar one in category and cost.
Check-in involves accommodating up to 3 tourists in a room. Each tourist is provided with a separate sleeping place.
If, for reasons beyond the control of the Tour Operator (cancellation or postponement of other tourists' accommodation with check-in on the same dates), a tourist cannot be checked in at any point on the route, the Tour Operator has the right to accommodate the tourist in a single economy room.
A tourist who has not been accommodated has the opportunity to stay in a standard single room with an additional charge. To do this, the tourist must independently check with the Tour Operator no later than 14 days before the start of the tour whether there was a check-in for him and inform him of his desire to make an additional payment for accommodation in a single room "standard".
Olkhon Island is reached by ice crossing in the winter season and by ferry in the summer. In the off-season on a hivus (hovercraft). If the ice crossing does not work for climatic reasons, then the tourist pays for the crossing on khivus himself.
In winter, especially after March 20th, the tour operator does not guarantee that the ice will remain transparent, as it depends on weather conditions, as well as that the rocks and splashes will be safe.
The composition and size of the group may change during the tour.
Guides may change throughout the tour. Each location is assigned a guide who is an expert on that location. There is always one tour coordinator.
