Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting with Lake Baikal. Olkhon Island. Cape Burkhan Tour
Today begins our journey to winter Lake Baikal!
At 09:30 we will meet with the tour participants at Irkutsk airport, get acquainted and go to Olkhon Island.
We are going to Olkhon — the road will take about 5-6 hours.
We cross over the ice, arrive in Khuzhir, check into the hotel.
In the evening, the first walk on the ice at Shamanka Rock.
The acquaintance with Lake Baikal begins!

Day 2 - Excursions to Cape Khoboy, Sagaan Khushun rock complex
Today we are waiting for an ice expedition to the north of Olkhon.
Stops at caves and grottos, Cape Three Brothers and, of course, Khoboy.
This is a place of power where Lake Baikal opens up in all its glory.
Lunch-picnic on the ice.
And on the way, at one of the parking lots, you can skate on the living ice of Lake Baikal.
The transparent surface underfoot, cracks, cracks and a feeling of absolute freedom are an impression that will not be forgotten.
In the evening, rest at the hotel, tea, stars and warmth.
*In the tour from January 3 to January 6, an excursion to the north of the island takes place on the island itself, it is possible to see all the expanses of Lake Baikal from the rocky capes of Three Brothers, Khoboy. There will also be ice exits and cave visits in the area of Kharantsi Island.
Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner are included in the price.

Day 3 - Excursion to the south of Olkhon Island. Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment
We are driving on the ice of the Small Sea: Ogoy Island, stupa, Cape Khorgoy, ice with bubbles.
We photograph turquoise cracks and ice patterns.
This is a day of vivid images and silence of winter Lake Baikal.
We return to Khuzhir for dinner.
*In the tour from January 3 to January 6, this tour is conducted without visiting Ogoy Island, because at that time there will be no access to it on the ice.
Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner are included in the price.

Day 4 - Farewell to Lake Baikal. Transfer to Irkutsk. Departure
Breakfast.
Transfer to Irkutsk, travel time 6 hours.
The program ends in Irkutsk (approximately arrival from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Kirov Square).

Follow the rules of nature protection and fire safety.
Observe your own safety measures and understand what responsibility the manager bears for you.
Take care of property in places of residence, on the bus: in case of breakdown or loss of hotel property (recreation center), rental property, etc., as well as in case of fire due to your fault, you bear all responsibility for the damage caused yourself.
Follow the rules of staying at the hotel (at the recreation center), do not break the silence after 23:00.
Promptly inform the travel director or his deputy about the deterioration of health or injury.
Follow the safety rules on ice, avoid hypothermia - keep in mind the low air temperature during this period.

The head oversees the implementation of the excursion program, therefore, adult tourists, if they deviate from the excursion program of the group, should inform the head, inform the time and place of joining the group and leave contact numbers.
Check whether the points of stay under the program are included in the service area of the mobile operator you need at the offices of the relevant companies (MTS, Beeline, Megafon, etc.) before making the trip.

I really enjoyed the trip. The ice on Lake Baikal is truly unique, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Of course, the cold is very real too, that’s something you definitely have to be prepared for...
