Itinerary

Day 1 - Toratau Geopark. Krasnousolsky resort tour, culinary master class
10 Group meeting in Ufa at the central entrance of the UFA Department Store (31 Oktyabrya Avenue).
Car transfer to the Toratau Geopark visitor center (150 km).
Toratau Geopark is a member of the UNESCO Global Geopark network. This is a territory that unites objects of international importance, natural and historical-cultural objects.
Getting to know the main objects of the geopark will give us an understanding of how the Ural Mountains were formed, why coral reefs ended up on land, and which hundreds of millions of years old fossils lie literally under our feet.
Visit the symbol of the geopark – Mount Toratau. This is not just a unique natural monument, it is a source of knowledge, strength and inspiration for many generations of the Bashkir people.
We will walk at its foot, and the bravest will be able to climb the 787 steps to the top to experience the grandeur of this place.
Shikhany is a unique natural monument, the remains of ancient coral reefs, containing fossils of corals, sponges, echinoderms and algae, which are about 300 million years old. This is living evidence that there was once a warm Devonian sea here.
Transfer to Krasnousolsk resort (60 km), another key site of the Toratau Geopark, a place where you can enjoy the beauty of nature, visit geological sites and shrines.
After a delicious lunch, we will visit the Usolka geological section, Russia's first "golden nail", recognized as the world standard for studying the Sakmara stage. Its age – 294 million years, is really amazing.
Next, we will visit the Tabyn Chapel, the place of the appearance of the holy icon of the Tabyn Mother of God, and, of course, the Holy Healing springs.
The uniqueness of the Krasnousolsky resort is that on an area of only 15 hectares, about 250 springs of mineral waters flow from the bowels of the earth. Each of them has a unique therapeutic effect on the human body. Those who wish will be able to plunge into the baptismal font, where the water keeps a constant temperature of about 10 degrees all year round.
Transfer to the village of Imendyashevo (60 km).

A master class on cooking baursak, a traditional Bashkir dish.
Since ancient times, baursak was not just a pastry, it symbolized the sun and happiness. Therefore, it was prepared on special days, and only the most dear and kind guests were treated.

Day 2 - Horseback riding, acquaintance with Bashkir culture, walk to Ukly-kaya rock
Breakfast at the campsite.
Safety instructions on the route.
Preparation for the route, familiarization with the harness. Horse management training.
Radial horse riding (3 hours): with a visit to the rock of Aktash, an overview of the valley of the Zilim river.
Aktash Rock is a snow–white amphitheater of rock stretching for hundreds of meters along the bend of the Zilim River.
The cliff is composed of gypsum, which are traces of the ancient sea. Those who wish will be able to climb the cliff and go to the observation deck, which offers a beautiful view.
Lunch.
Acquaintance with Bashkir culture: a story about national Bashkir costumes, a photo shoot in national costumes.
Archery: feel like a real batyr and try your hand at marksmanship.
Ukly-kaya cliff walking tour (3 hours, ~ 11 km).
Translated from Bashkir, "Ukly-Kaya" means "Strelnaya Gora". It looms over the village, which lies right at its foot, like a picturesque hulk.
You will be told about the legend at the top of a cliff (180 m above the level of Zilim), where a magnificent landscape opens up: the Zilim River comes out of the mountains and splits into two branches, the entire river valley stretches in front of you.

Day 3 - Kaga village tour, dumpling making, tasting
Breakfast.
Car transfer from the western Foothills to the mountainous part of the Southern Urals (250 km).
Along the way, landscapes change from the Ural steppes to the majestic Ural Mountains. Part of the route passes through the territory of the South Ural State Nature Reserve.
In good weather, you can enjoy a view of the highest peak of the Southern Urals, Bolshoy Yaman–Tau.
Lunch.
Accommodation at a campsite located in the historic mining village of Kaga.
The tour "The history of the village of Kaga and the Ural ironworks".
Kaga is one of the most distinctive villages in Bashkiria, located between two rivers — the wise White and playful Kaga.
The village was founded in the first half of the 18th century, in the southern part of the Ural Mountains, and over several centuries it has experienced a rich and interesting history: the construction of an ironworks of the Demidov dynasty and at the same time the rapid development of the village, the ordeal of fire and starvation after a fire, miraculous healing from typhus, etc.
We will tell you how the villagers managed to preserve their flavor, hear their dialect, learn about holidays and customs that are celebrated only here.
"Dumpling making": the evening will be held in a friendly family atmosphere for leisurely conversations and dumpling making from high-quality village products.
"Over a cup of tea..." – tasting Bashkir honey, herbal tea and balms of local production.

Day 4 - Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve, master class
Breakfast.
Transfer to the Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve (100 km by car).
Visit to the museum and demonstration complex of the Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve.
The basis for the creation of the reserve was the habitation in this region of the core of a purebred aboriginal honeybee population — the Burzyansk honey bee ("burzyanki") in the conditions of bee farming — Bashkir folk art.
This reserve turned out to be the world's first zone protecting native wild bees. Tourists will have the opportunity to taste on-board honey (for an additional fee per season).
An introduction to the natural and cultural heritage site included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List: a unique monument of the Paleolithic era — the Shulgan-Tash cave (Kapova Cave).
Thousands of years ago, primitive people lived in it and left their drawings of animals on the walls.
Such ancient drawings, before their discovery in this cave, were known only in caves in Spain and France.
Regardless of the time of year, the cave maintains a constant temperature of +7 Celsius. Therefore, it is necessary to have warm clothes with you.
Lunch with elements of Bashkir cuisine.
Acquaintance with Bashkir customs.
A master class on playing the kurai or archery.
Return to the campsite (100 km car ride).

Day 5 - Bashkir State Nature Reserve
Breakfast.
Car transfer to the Bashkir State Nature Reserve (30 km), the very first nature reserve established in the Southern Urals.
The reserve lies in the part of the Urals where its main ranges, Kraka and Ural-Tau, lose their meridional direction and break up into a network of very complexly constructed hills.
The acquaintance with the museum and excursion complex of the reserve will begin with the history and nature features of the reserve and the Southern Urals, and will end with a walk along the ecotrope to the observation tower.
You will be able to watch them at the maral aviary, learn interesting facts about them and take memorable photos.
A walk along the historical and ecological trail "Bashkhyrt": a walking route to the top of the mountain pass "Bashkhyrt" with a viewing tower.

Day 6 - Horseback riding along the border of the Bashkir State Reserve
Breakfast.

Horseback riding (~5 hours) along the border of the Bashkir State Nature Reserve.
The route takes you through a scenic area with an overview of the ranges of the middle and southern Krak with pine, pine-birch and larch forests.
Departure is scheduled for ~ 5 hours (depends on the weather conditions and the group's preparedness), it is expected to be a long journey and a long stay outdoors, so carefully consider the selection of clothes and shoes.

Day 7 - Catamaran or kayak rafting
Breakfast.
Water part: catamaran rafting or kayaking (~5 hours).
Preparation for the water route (the group is equipped with equipment, with a choice of catamaran or kayak).

Transfer to the starting point of the rafting.
Calm river flow, green shores and picturesque cliffs.
During the rafting, it is planned to stop for rest and lunch in the field and swimming.

Day 8 - Walk to Mount Blagodat, departure
Breakfast. Room release before 12:00
Trekking (walking) to Mount Blagodat (~10 km).
The path will pass through the pine forest to the observation point. A sharp, almost hundred–meter cliff towards the bend of the Belaya River (Agidel), which offers a wonderful view, beautiful at any time of the year - an overview of the Bashtau ridge.
This is where the best photos are taken against the backdrop of the Ural Mountains.
Lunch.
Group transfer from Kaga village to Ufa (UFA Department Store, October Avenue, 31).
Approximate arrival in Ufa by 21:00.

The tour was excellently organized. We traveled in a comfortable bus with a professional and friendly driver. The accommodation and meals were also very good. I would especially like to highlight our guide, Elena. Her deep knowledge, outstanding understanding of the region, engaging and expressive storytelling, subtle sense of humor, and excellent communication skills make her a top-class professional. She managed to bring together a group of very different people and became our leader and the heart of the group throughout all 10 days. There was, however, one thing that slightly detracted from the overall impression: the indifferent attitude and reluctance to address guests’ concerns on the part of the administration of the Chaika campsite at the Nugush Reservoir.
