A trip to Lake Baikal in Buryatia

Departure for an excursion to the Barguzin valley. 

The valley is located between the Baruzinsky and Ikatsky ranges, the place where the Barguzin River, the third largest tributary of the lake, is formed and flows into Lake Baikal, has a unique microclimate and relief, where at the same time you can see mountains and forests, rivers and lakes, flood meadows and swamps, steppes and sand dunes, culture and history of those who inhabited and inhabit it peoples, rich flora and fauna, places of power of Buddhist and shamanic faith.

Transfer to the palace of the Goddess Yanzhima (a Buddhist temple complex located at the foot of the Barguzin ridge), a walk to the place of manifestation of the "face of the goddess" (goddess Yanzhima is the patroness of women and people of creative professions), people come here to seek inspiration, as well as with requests for a child and the search for the other half. 

The next point of the trip is a beautiful bend of the river overlooking the Barguzin ridge. 

We cross the valley and go to the Ikat ridge, here we will make a stop at the place "Buhe shulun" (bull stone), this is a shamanic place of power. 

According to local legends, the bull-stone is considered the master of the Barguzin Valley.

Then we go to the Suva Castle, the huge rocky remnants of the Bodon spur of the Ikat ridge resemble the ruins of an ancient castle. 

Climbing on the rocks, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire valley and the Barguzin ridge. 

In the evening we return to Maximikha.

Departure for an excursion to the Trans-Baikal National Park. 

A visit to the modern visitor center "Reserved Podlemore", after a tour of the center we go to the Bormashev lakes.

The water here is very warm and warms up well, and the bottom mud sapropel has healing properties. 

We will make our next stop on the shore of the Barguzin Bay on the longest beach on Lake Baikal (24 km). 

The Barguzin Bay is the largest and deepest on Lake Baikal, while overlooking the Holy Nose Peninsula, a cult place for photos! 

After driving along the isthmus, we head to Chivyrkuysky Bay, the warmest and one of the most beautiful on Lake Baikal.

We climb to the observation deck, which offers a picturesque view of the Chivyrkuysky Bay and its islands, from here we can also see the snow-capped peaks of the Barguzin ridge.

In the Serpentine Bay, those who wish take baths in thermal springs. 

In the evening we arrive at the campsite on the sandy beach. 

Here, right on the shore of Lake Baikal, we will take a steam bath.

According to the program for tours on June 24-28 and July 01-05, 2024, we return to Maximikha in the evening.

According to the program for tours on July 11-15, 2024 and July 13-17, 2024, we spend the night in a tent campsite on the shore of Lake Baikal.

Return to Ulan-Ude. 

In the city, we have a gala lunch at the national cafe, where we will be treated to Buryat cuisine. 

Excursion to datsan Rinpoche Bagsha, it is located on a hill, from the observation deck there is a magnificent view of the entire city of Ulan-Ude. 

Let's take a leisurely walk along the "Path of Long life" around the datsan. 

You can feed them or just look at the squirrels.
