Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Meeting. Transfer to the starting point of the rafting. Preparing for a hike

    We will meet in Ulan-Ude at 10 a.m. on Sovetov Square near the largest Lenin's head, it is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. 

    Transfer to the Selenga river.

    Selenga is the largest river that flows into Lake Baikal. 

    Its length is 1024 km. 

    It originates in Mongolia. 

    Stop. 

    We have lunch on the way (self-paid). 

    Arrival, we unload things on the shore.

    Collecting ships.

    Each crew assembles the kayak itself, under the guidance of a guide. It usually takes at least an hour for each kayak. 

    Instruction, training in sailing, mooring. 

    Preparing for the campaign.

    Installation of tents. 

    During dinner, we get acquainted and relax. 

    Overnight in tents on the shore.

The tour provides accommodation in tents and 1 night in a hotel at the end of the tour (economy class).

The cost of an additional payment for alternative accommodation in tents for the entire tour:

  • The surcharge for 2-bed accommodation is 1,000 rubles/person.
  • The surcharge for 1-bed accommodation is 2,000 rubles/person.

The cost of an additional payment for a single room in a hotel starts from 1,500 rubles.

Tent camp 7 nights

Overnight stays in 4-5-bed tents on the route. Accommodation in tents is common, there is no gender separation, when making an application, be sure to clarify to the manager your wishes for accommodation in a tent (for example, if you have a married couple, you want to live alone and other basic wishes for settlement).

Participants independently take turns cooking along the entire route, set up tents, harvest firewood and carry out the transfer of all necessary equipment (including kayaks).

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

General equipment provided:

  • a shared first aid kit (with a common set of medicines that may be needed during the hike); 
  • fire set (boilers, axe, fire mittens, dish sponge, ladle, matches);
  • tents (you need to inform about the provision of a tent in advance — at the same time, only! a place in the tent. Individual tents are available for a fee, you need to inform your manager at the office of the travel agency 7 days before the start of the route.

Necessary personal equipment:

Equipment and accessories:

  • A backpack for women with a volume of at least 70-80 liters, for men 80-90 liters.;
    Polyurethane mat;
  • A plastic bag or a hermetic bag (inserted inside the backpack to protect against moisture);
    Headlamp;
    Sunglasses;
    Sleeping bag — temperature regime depending on the time of year and place of travel ;
    Spoon, mug, knife;
  • Rain cover — only for routes where the temperature stays above zero;
  • Matches sealed in polyethylene or plastic packaging or a lighter.
  • Individual first aid kit (with the necessary set of personal and specific medicines no more than 200 g by weight);
  • Photo camera;
  • Thermos or plastic bottle;
    Have protective equipment against blood-sucking insect bites on routes (mainly on routes where the temperature does not drop below zero);
    Sunburn products (required in the mountains and traveling by water)

Clothes, shoes, etc.

  • Underwear — at least 2-3 sets;
  • Thermal underwear (set, depending on the time of year. Jacket + tights) — 1-2 pieces;
  • Trousers are light, sporty, for daily wear, depending on the time of the year;
  • Jacket, fleece, etc. 1-2 pcs. (preferably made of modern materials);
  • Storm suit – jacket + trousers. Availability is mandatory (In summer — protection from wind and rain. The jacket is better insulated with a hood (according to the time of the year. As a rule, it must be available in the mountains and on Lake Baikal. Trousers – protection from wind and moisture. In the cold season, you can use a ski suit or the like, depending on the climatic conditions;
  • Plain socks (or trekking socks) — 2-4 pairs;
  • Wool socks (trekking, insulated) — at least 2 pairs;
  • 2 pairs of shoes (for summer — trekking boots and sneakers with thick soles or sneakers + rubber boots with a liner and a warm insole (recommended for water routes along Lake Baikal). For rafting on mountain rivers, it is desirable to wear neoprene (you can rent it)); For winter, two pairs of insulated boots are required or designed for the temperature conditions where you have chosen the route; for climbing, mountain climbing boots + trekking boots. Lightweight sneakers on request (for crossings, recreation centers, on trains, etc.)
  • Trekking poles are recommended only for hiking routes, combined at the discretion of the participants. 
  • Note: During the day in the mountains, the sun is active and snowmelt is possible, so shoes should have good water-repellent properties. (Rubber boots (in addition to boots) – at the discretion of the participants)
  • Warm sports hat — 2 pcs (in summer, a cap with a visor + a cap);
  • Personal hygiene products (toothbrush and paste, toilet paper, etc.);
  • Gloves in summer are a simple 2 pairs. In winter and climbing – insulated gloves – 1 pair and very warm mittens – 1 pair;

Important! It is mandatory to have the following documents on the entire route – a passport, a compulsory medical insurance policy, and a birth certificate for the child.

The requirement for a set of "personal belongings" is nothing superfluous and heavy, since besides them you will have to carry food (about 600—800g. per day per person) for the entire route and group equipment (tents, axes, boilers, etc..

Personal equipment for the water route should include a waterproof suit and rubber boots (please take care of your health and do not stay in cold water without special shoes).
