A Necklace Of Caucasian Mineral Waters. Spring Trip

Departure for the city to the Alikonovo gorge, which is located just 30 minutes away from the city, but this will already be the territory of Karachay-Cherkessia. 

Our first stop at the natural monument is Mount Koltso, where you will see Kislovodsk from a bird's–eye view.
Next, you will look into the Tea House, where you can taste herbal teas, honey, tinctures, jam from pine cones, feijoa, sea buckthorn; urbechi, pastille, churchkhela and other local sweets. Everything can be tried and, if desired, purchased as a gift and souvenir. 

And if after a delicious tea party you would like to take a short horse ride, then there is a rental of these wonderful animals nearby (surcharge from 500 rubles, 30 minutes). Any rider will be satisfied when he rides a real Karachai horse.  

Our main purpose of this day's trip is Honey Waterfalls, because it is there that you can admire the mountains and see the "real Caucasus" in miniature. 

A walk around the territory, rest. From the observation decks you can enjoy wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and 4 waterfalls of various heights.

Lunch with dishes of national cuisine.

In your free time, you can visit extreme attractions (for an additional fee).  Zipline is a high-speed descent along a steel rope, the longest in Russia – 1050 meters, where the speed develops up to 80 km/h (from 1800 rubles per person). 

A trip to the Suvorov thermal springs.
An additional fee is 600 rubles for an entrance ticket, payment to the guide on the spot.
*Bathing takes place in a specially equipped swimming pool, there are changing rooms, showers. After bathing, you can sit in a cafe and drink herbal tea with jam or honey. 
The healing water of Suvorov springs contains carbonates, bicarbonates, sulfates, chlorides, iron, fluorine and other important elements that make bathing most useful for problems with the spine and joints; digestive disorders; diseases of the musculoskeletal system; improper metabolism.

But contraindications must also be taken into account – these are high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases.
We recommend you to take your bathing things with you: swimming trunks/swimsuit, towel (1-2 pcs), rubber slippers.

Return to Kislovodsk (approximately at 18:00).
The time of return to Kislovodsk depends on the time of visiting the thermal springs.

07:00 Departure to Kabardino-Balkaria to a ledge resembling the famous Norwegian landmark "Troll's Tongue". 

The Troll's Tongue is located in the picturesque gorge of Kabardino-Balkaria, opposite the famous Bezengi Wall, which climbers call the "Small Himalayas". The grandeur of the mountains is felt here as nowhere else. In good weather, you can see five five-thousandth peaks of the Caucasian Ridge at once. 

Next, we will head to the Blue Lakes. The Blue Lakes are a group of five lakes of karst origin (Two Upper, Lower, Secret and Dry). Let's take a walk around the lower lake - Cerik-Kel - it has a greenish-blue color and a constant water temperature of 9.3 °C. 

The next point of our trip is the Cherek Gorge or the Cherek Gorge, one of the deepest gorges of the Main Caucasian Ridge. 

Let's take a walk along the ancient caravan road — along a segment of the Great Silk Road. *An additional fee is a visit to the Geduco hot thermal springs.

Geduco waters have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. They are recommended for external use in diseases of blood vessels, skin, musculoskeletal system, nervous system. There are several types of pools with thermal water of different temperatures, massage tables and slides on the territory. 

A special safe zone is provided for children (from 500 rubles, payment to the guide on the spot). 

Return to Kislovodsk after 17:00

In the continuation of the tour of the cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, you will see the main attractions of the resort town of Yessentuki.

Here you will walk through the Resort Park, see narzan galleries and a mud baths made in the Greek style, taste the legendary mineral water (Essentuki-4, Essentuki-17).

You will also see the Zander Institute of Mechanotherapy, which houses devices developed by the Swedish scientist Gustav Zander back in the late 19th century.

A visit to the Temple complex, where the tallest sculpture of Jesus Christ in Russia with a height of 20 meters is installed.

Lunch.

The program will continue with a visit to the city of Zheleznovodsk. You will take a short walk and get acquainted with the architecture of the XIX century. Magnificent ancient architectural monuments, such as the former summer residence of the Emir of Bukhara, the Pushkin Gallery, the stone of Desires, decorate the resort park. During the tour, you will taste mineral water from the Lermontov spring (Smirnovo-Slavyanov waters).

Return to Kislovodsk.

A visit to the oldest city in the region, Pyatigorsk, will complete the acquaintance with the cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters.

You will walk through the Flower Garden Park, enjoy the view from the Aeolian Harp gazebo and see the famous underground lake Proval. A magnificent view of the city and the mountains opens from the panoramic platform of Mount Mashuk, which you will climb by cable car. And if you're lucky, you'll definitely see Elbrus.

Pyatigorsk is a city that has seen many historical events and great people such as L.N. Tolstoy, S. Yesenin, A.S. Pushkin. But the most important one is undoubtedly Mikhail Lermontov, the famous Russian poet who lived and died here. During the tour, you will learn about Lermontov's life and visit places related to his stay in Pyatigorsk. 

Lunch at the cafe. 

Together with the guide you will visitLermontov House Museum (Lermontov House): it has remained unchanged since the 19th century. At the site of the duel, which ended tragically for the poet, a monument has been erected — one of the main attractions of the city.

Return to Kislovodsk.
