Then there is a cable car to the top of Mount Mashuk, which offers a fascinating panorama of the city, mountain ranges and, if you are lucky, even the majestic Elbrus.

Pyatigorsk is a city steeped in history. Great writers and poets lived and worked here: Leo Tolstoy, Sergei Yesenin and Alexander Pushkin.
