Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival. Thermal springs. A walk through the village

    11:30-12:00 Gathering of the group in Mineralnye Vody at the railway station and at the airport.

    After gathering the group, we drive to the village of Arkhyz, and on the way we will visit the thermal springs. The Caucasian mineral waters are known far beyond the borders of our country, so we will start our journey with the hot pools that this region is rich in.

    After hot baths, transfer to the village, check into a cozy hotel and take a sightseeing tour of the village.

    The active part is 3 km on foot.

The route involves walking through mountainous (rough) terrain and daily climbing and dropping heights (ascents and descents). The route passes through forest trails, dirt roads, alpine meadows, large and small stones.

There will be an altitude difference of 400 to 600 m per day, and an altitude difference of 880 m in one day. Climbing 400-600 m is about the same as climbing 130-200 floors.

The route runs at an altitude of 1600-2880 m. The route length is 58.2 km. Trekking through gorges with light luggage.

Gornaya Nezabudka Hotel 6 nights

It is located in Arkhyz. Those who arrive in their own car will be able to use the public parking.

Warm and cozy rooms are provided for guests' accommodation. All of them include high-quality furniture, comfortable beds, modern appliances and a balcony.

The private bathroom must have a shower. You can always cook whatever you want in the shared kitchen. It is equipped with everything that is so necessary for cooking. The dining area is well equipped.

The distance to the cable car is about 7 kilometers.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Air temperature: early morning and late evening +8...+12C, afternoon +18...+25C (sunny day), +12...+16C (cloudy day). 

In the Caucasus, you can wear trousers and T-shirts. You should not take shorts or T-shirts.

  • a cap or a panama hat;
  • jacket;
  • fleece. In autumn, we recommend taking 2: one for the route (it gets a hiking smell quickly enough), the second is a clean and fresh fleece for the hotel;
  • T-shirt;
  • A light long-sleeve shirt will protect your arms and neck from burning.;
  • The buff. Protects the neck from burning, can be used as a headdress;
  • running trousers, underwear, socks;
  • trekking shoes up to the ankle and above;
  • flip-flops (for the hotel) and a swimsuit;
  • for girls optional: dress for a photo shoot on the background of mountains;
  • waterproof clothing or raincoat from the middle of the thigh and below;
  • trekking poles significantly reduce the load on the knees. Physically strong and healthy tourists are recommended to have sticks with them. Tourists who have problems with knees, joints and excess weight must have trekking poles!
    If necessary, the club provides trekking poles for rent.;
  • passport/birth certificate of the child. It is mandatory to have the original (not a copy).
  • camera/video camera and charger. In several gorges along the route that enter the border zone, it is forbidden to use a quadcopter for filming.;
  • toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, razor);
  • a comb and sunglasses;
  • 0.5 l plastic bottle (for drinking water on the route);
  • toilet paper (useful during the day, on the route);
  • mug, spoon, plate. In the mountains, tourists drink tea from a mug that comes with a thermos or take a separate mug. The plate is useful to put sliced and small products (vegetables, cheese, olives, etc.) into it during lunch. The mug and plate should be non-breakable.;
  • wet wipes, thread, needle;
  • backpack for walking (volume 20-25 liters). The backpack contains the tourist's personal belongings (fleece, raincoat, water bottle, etc.), as well as public food for lunch, which is provided by the instructor (the weight of the products is 400-600 grams).;
  • tourist hoba seat;
  • shoe dryers;
  • sunscreen, lipstick;
  • individual first aid kit. Required: elastic bandage, Band-aid;
  • cash money;
  • hat, gloves. It may be cool in the evening and on cloudy days.
