Caucasus: Psebai – Krasnaya Polyana. A multi-day hike

We go along the wide road to the cordon of the "Third Company".

You enter the gorge of Malaya Laba.

The most beautiful canyon. 

The trail rises above the water, then descends. 

The way is blocked by Zaprudnoye lake, which was formed in 2002 after a mudslide. 

You can swim in its waters. 

There will be lunch here.

We go further to the Umpyrsky cordon.

We set up camp under giant fir trees on the bank of the Achipsta River.

We continue along the Malaya Laba riverbed. 

There is a protected nature around. 

If you walk quietly, you can see a deer or a roe deer, and we will definitely meet a troublesome hedgehog on our way.

We are passing a place of lively fighting during the Second World War. 

There are monuments and plaques on the sides of the trail. 

Let's pay tribute to the fallen heroes.

We are beginning to feel uplifted. 

The snow of the Caucasus mountains is getting closer and closer, their icy breath is felt. 

On the left, the Tsakhvoa glacier and the peak of the same name, the main peak of the Krasnodar Territory, rise like a monumental sculpture against the background of a bottomless blue sky.

We're going to walk a little bit today. 

At the confluence of two beautiful rivers, Chistaya and Malaya Laba, our next bivouac will be.
