Elbrus and Kazbek are the highest volcanoes in the Caucasus. The tour program allows you to climb both five thousand meters in 14 days.

Climbing Kazbek, you will get a good acclimatization, and after a little rest. Take the cable car up to the shelter and conquer the top of Elbrus. The program includes the necessary number of reserve days to choose the optimal weather conditions and the opportunity to restore strength between ascents.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. The meeting of the group and the transition to the thermal springs
We meet the participants at the railway station in Vladikavkaz.
It is necessary to arrive at the meeting place by 8:00 on the day of the start of the tour.
We go to the Ministry of Emergency Situations for registration and to the border checkpoint for issued passes (documents must be submitted 2 weeks in advance).
Transfer to the thermal springs — Verkhnekarmadon baths.
There are several natural baths that are very warm, and there are hot ones.
The sites for the installation of tents are located near the springs.
In the evening we make a plan for the next day, the guide tells us about the route.
The height of the camp is 2300 m.
The distance is 7 km, the journey time is 3-4 hours.

Day 2 - Crossing the Mayli Glacier
We cross the Kolka stream over the suspension bridge and go out onto the Miley Glacier.
We cross the glacier and set up camp at the beginning of the ascent along the rocky section.
Acclimatization exit higher up the glacier with training on a snow-ice slope — self-restraint with an ice axe, walking in bundles.
The distance is 3 km, the journey time is 2-3 hours.

Day 3 - Ascent along the path of the rocky buttress of the OZD peak
Ascent to overnight stays at 3500 m along the north-western buttress of the railway peak.
At the beginning of the ascent, cables are hung for insurance.
Acclimatization exit to the Big Stone at 3700 m.
Great views of the valley and glacier.
Intermittently, but you can get a mobile connection.
The distance is 1 km, the climb is 500 meters, the time is 3 hours.

Day 4 - Ascent to the assault camp
Climb to overnight accommodation at 4,200 m on the Kazbek plateau.
Acclimatization exit to the top of the OZD peak (4271 m).
From here you can enjoy a view of the top of Kazbek.
We will spend a few days in this camp, and from here we will go to the top.
Distance ~2 km, climb 700 m, travel time 3-4 hours.

Day 5 - Rest day before climbing Kazbek
A day of rest before the assault.
Walk for 1-2 hours towards the top.
We practice moving in a bundle.
We collect backpacks for climbing and check the equipment.
We prepare breakfast in advance so that the preparations for the assault take as little time as possible.

Day 6 - Climbing to the top of Kazbek 5034 meters
Wake up at 2:00, exit at 3:00.
This is the optimal exit time.
According to weather conditions, you can postpone the exit for 2-3 hours.
It is necessary to climb to the top before 14:00 in order to descend on time.
Ascent to Kazbek Vostochny, height 5034 m.
Descent to the camp on the shoulder of the railway peak (4,200 m) or to the camp near the Cross at 3,500 m.
The ascent takes 5-7 hours, the distance is 4-5 km, the climb is 850 m.

Day 7 - A reserve day in case of bad weather
A reserve day in case of bad weather.
If the ascent was completed on the previous day, we descend to the thermal springs, where you can relax in the thermal water under the stars.

Day 8 - Descent to the thermal baths
Descent along the way up to the thermal springs.
You can enjoy the hot water, the glacier, and the mountains around you as much as you want.

Day 9 - Transfer to the Elbrus region
The descent to the village of Tmenikau will take about 3 hours.
Transfer to Vladikavkaz.
On the way we will visit Dargavs, where the remains of Ossetian ancestors still lie in the crypts.
Participants receive certificates of perfect ascent.
The next part of the adventure awaits us, climbing Mount Elbrus.
Upon arrival in Terskol, we check into the hotel.

Day 10 - Active recreation, a walk to the Narzanov Glade
This time we will do an easy trekking to the "Narzan Glade", where you can collect natural mineral water and have a delicious meal in a cafe with national cuisine.

Day 11 - Ascent to Elbrus. Check-in at the shelter
From the Azau glade, we will take the cable car up to the Gara-bashi station (height 3800 m).
We move into the shelter: mobile communication and Internet, electricity around the clock, heaters, separate kitchens and canteens.

Day 12 - Ascent to the western peak of Elbrus 5642 m
Exit at midnight.
Hot tea and energy nutrition for the ascent, which will take about 10 hours.
You must be at the top before 14:00.
After the ascent, we descend to the shelter and, if we make it before the cable car closes, then to the hotel in the village. Terskol.
It is possible to drop a group or part of a group on a snowmobile or snowmobile (not included in the price).

Day 13 - A reserve day in case of bad weather
If the weather is good and the ascent has already been done, you can arrange an excursion to the Chegem waterfalls, thermal springs or horseback riding (excursions are paid separately).
You can just relax, walk through the local markets with souvenirs, take a cable car to Cheget or go to the Terskol waterfall.

Day 14 - Transfer Terskol — Mineralnye Vody. Departure
The tour ends, and participants are awarded with branded certificates and official badges of their ascents.
Tired, but full of impressions and happy, we go to Mineralnye Vody.
Transfer in the morning.
Return tickets should be taken no earlier than 17:00.
