Itinerary

Day 1 - Transfer to the Cheget meadow. Geduko Thermal springs
Arrival at the airport or at the railway station in Mineralnye Vody before 12:00.
Please note: if you arrive on the eve of the start of the tour or stay after the program, we recommend accommodation in Pyatigorsk (you can specify more detailed information when booking).
Gathering a group.
12:30 Group transfer without a guide to Elbrus region (5.5 hours on the way, with stops).
Stop for lunch (extra charge).
On the way, a visit to the Geduko thermal complex (additional ticket fee). We recommend that you take your bathing things with you: swimming trunks/swimsuit, towel, rubber slippers. The duration of bathing is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Day 2 - Cheget Mountain and hiking to Donguz Orun-Kel Lake
Breakfast is according to your reservation.

The ascent of the chairlift to the city of Cheget (3700 m. above the sea level) (additional ticket fee), from where you will see views of the famous glacier "7", the majestic Elbrus and the panorama of the Caucasian ridge.
A walk to the Donguz Orun – Kel lake, formed as a result of melting glaciers. Flowing down from the mountains, the water erodes their slopes and brings mountain minerals into the reservoir, which color its waters in amazing colors. After the walk, we recommend you to go to a local cafe and taste the famous pies — they will not leave you indifferent!
Descent to the Cheget meadow, visit to the souvenir and knitwear market.
Return to the hotel.
In your free time, we recommend you to take an independent walk along the ecotrope to the Narzan Meadow, which runs along the Baksan River. Thanks to the arrangement of the park, you will be able to get acquainted with the flora and fauna of the Elbrus region, as well as taste various types of medicinal narzan, the sources of which are located in the park itself.

Day 3 - Trekking in the Terskol gorge to the Terskol waterfall
Breakfast is according to your reservation.

Each path you walk along while trekking to the Terskol gorge will open up to you the enchanting landscapes of the wild mountainous area; during the ascent you can relax at the "tea house" and drink mountain water from the "magic spring".
After crossing the river over a narrow bridge, you will approach the destination of the trip — the Terskol waterfall, which rises 10 meters above the ground, but is even more wide — its length is 12 meters!
Lunch on the mountain slopes at the waterfall (dry rations).
Return to the hotel.

Day 4 - Trekking in the Irikchat Gorge

Transfer to the Irikchat gorge to the beginning of the walking route.
The Irik River flows out of the glacier of the same name, hides in a deep canyon and flows into the Baksan near the village of Elbrus. The valley is located between the southeastern and eastern spurs of the Elbrus. The route passes through the gorge gorge, along the steep cliffs, in the heart of the mountain landscape of the Main Caucasian Ridge.

Return to the hotel.
If desired, for an additional fee, you can visit the wellness center, go to the sauna.

Day 5 - Elbrus Mountain Tour
Breakfast is according to your reservation.

Transfer to Azau glade, cable car ascent to the slopes of Mount Elbrus to a height of 3,800 m. (additional fee).
The mountain is famous for glaciers feeding rivers and mineral springs gushing at the foot. You can play snowballs or ride a snowmobile (for an additional fee). Throughout the route, you will see majestic panoramas of the Caucasian ridges, led by the giant Elbrus (5642 m above sea level).
Descent to the Azau clearing.
Lunch at a local cafe on your own.
In case of good weather, a walk along the five-kilometer Azau–Cheget ecotrope through the pine forest along the Baksan River will be very useful after lunch, during which you will take excellent photos of mountain landscapes, and from the end of August - in September you will enjoy mountain blueberries, raspberries and lingonberries.
In the evening, a joint meeting at the final dinner, during which you will share your impressions of the trip to the Elbrus region.
The tour is not recommended for people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.

Day 6 - Vacation at the resort

Day 7 - Trekking in the Kurmichi Gorge

Transfer to the beginning of the route.
We are waiting for a picturesque trekking in the Kurmichi gorge to the cascade waterfall of the same name, which is considered the largest in the Elbrus region. The waterfall consists of 7 cascades with a height difference of about 800 meters.
With each step we gain altitude, we will find ourselves in the valley of the Kurmichi gorge, surrounded by glaciers and high mountain peaks. This is one of the most beautiful and little-visited places on Elbrus. We have to gain another 200 meters of altitude in order to approach a beautiful glacial lake. Turquoise water, blue LED surrounded by three or four thousand people will not leave anyone indifferent.

Day 8 - A trip to Lake Gizhgit

Transfer in the company of a guide to the lake in the valley of the Gizhgit river, it is also called Bylymsky.
This incredibly beautiful artificial lake with a length of about 3 km and a depth of up to 40 m was created by the Mining and Processing Plant of Tyrnyauz in the early 2000s. The engineering structure was designed to save the environmental situation in the area. Previously, used and ground rock was brought to the gorge, and this dust was carried away by the wind for many kilometers.
To this day, disputes among local residents do not subside: is it possible to swim in the lake, is it poisonous, is it radioactive? Regular tests have shown that the water in the lake is flowing and clean, the bottom is visible for tens of meters, analyses of water and soil have not revealed any deviations.
Due to the great depth and the rocky ridge that protects from the wind, a microclimate is created here. Despite the fact that the lake is located at an altitude of about 1000 m above sea level, you can enjoy beautiful walks here even in winter – the views are really amazing.

Day 9 - Trekking in the Shkhelda gorge

Transfer to the starting point of the route. Today you will enjoy trekking in the Adyl-Su gorge with the passage of the Shkhelda valley and access to the so-called "mountain beach" in the "Smile of Shkhelda" clearing.
The Adyl-Su gorge is one of the most beautiful in the Elbrus region. The name translates as "beautiful water": the river is clean and full of healing narzans, which sometimes turn the boulders bronze.
Through the coniferous forests you will climb to the unique clearing "Smile of the Shkhelda". It is at this point that the Shkhelda River makes a very sharp, unexpected turn and gently hugs the pebble beach. The river seems to smile at the guests – this is how the famous backwater appears.
From this clearing you can see the mighty Shkhelda glacier, frozen here millions of years ago, which descends with a 9-kilometer tongue down the slopes of the Great Caucasian Ridge to become the source of the river of the same name.
The main decoration of trekking along the Adyl-Su gorge is the Ushba massif (transl. – "mountain mountain"), which is not only very picturesque, but also as inaccessible as possible for climbers. It is included in the top of the most dangerous peaks and is officially considered the most difficult 4-thousandth mountain in the world to climb. No less striking is the "toothy" wall of the Shkheld, consisting of 6 peaks with a height of more than 4 thousand meters.
