Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Thermal complex
We will meet at the airport and at the Mineralnye Vody railway station.
We will go to the ancient village of Maru, and today we will have a rest, on the way to Maru we will stop at the Pearl of the Caucasus thermal complex, where we can relax for two hours after the road.
And once again we will set off to the picturesque ancient village of Mara, we will stay in the tourist complex "Aydin El", where we will have a delicious dinner and meet the guide.
Timing of the day:
14:00-15:00 meeting at the airport;
16:30-18:00 visit to the Pearl of the Caucasus thermal complex;
19:30 check-in at the Aydin El tourist complex;

Day 2 - SENTINSKY AND SHOANINSKY TEMPLES, CHEESE CAVES
A delicious breakfast awaits us in the morning.
Today we are going to the ancient Christian temples.
In the 10th century, the state of Alanya was located on the territory of present-day Karachay-Cherkessia, and a branch of the Great Silk Road passed through here.
On the way back to the tourist complex, visit the Cheese Caves, which were formed in the rock from porous, soft sandstone due to weathering (that is, exposure to wind and precipitation).
Due to the peculiarities of the rock, the depressions formed in the rock have a bizarre shape, resembling the pores in maasdam cheese.

Day 3 - Moussa Achitara, Krymshamkhalov House Museum
Dombai is waiting for you — here it is called the "Heart of the Mountains".
The cable car will take you to the observation deck of the Moussa Achitara mountain.
It offers a breathtaking view of the mountains.
At any time of the year, it is incredibly beautiful here: in spring, the sparkling whiteness of snow-capped peaks flows into the greenery of coniferous forests, in summer, alpine lawns in bloom attract the eye, and in autumn there is just a carnival of bright colors!
Teberda is better known as the resort town where Teberda National Park is located.
But there is also a house-museum of the Karachay educator I.P. Krymshamkhalov — an artist, architect, educator, he can be called the founder of the Teberdinsky resort.

Day 4 - Kuban Gorge, Khurzuk, Mamiya-Kala towers
We wake up, have breakfast and go for a new, beautiful picture of our kaleidoscope – along the Kuban River!
There are many historical and natural monuments here — from a deep and stormy canyon, to the ancient watchtower of Mamiya-Kala, the ruins of an ancient settlement and real wooden Karachai dwellings with an earthen roof overgrown with grass.
The village of Khurzuk is a real open—air museum and it really is!
There are many houses here, some of which date back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
But the Mamiya-Kala tower, towering over the village, dates back even to the 13th century!
One of the most revered places of Karachai is Kadau—Tash, the keystone of Karachai, where, according to legend, the foundations of the people's life were established.
And before the village. Elbrussky there is a very unusual phenomenon — the blue Kuban River merges with a dirty brown Curtain, and for several kilometers the waters of both rivers flow in parallel, without mixing.
The Kuban River, being one of the lava beds of Elbrus, is replete with narzan springs.
There are more than a dozen of them here, we will stop by one of them today and taste it.

Day 5 - Nizhne-Arkhyz settlement, the face of Christ, SAO RAS
Today our way lies to the Nizhne-Arkhyz ancient Albanian settlement.
Once there was a large city on the trade route, but trouble came to the Caucasus in the form of the conqueror Tamerlane and the city was destroyed.
To this day, several temples have been preserved, in which services are still held.
The largest observatory in Europe is located a little above the ancient city: built in the early 70s of the XX century, it is still one of the most popular in the scientific world.
And at the end of such an eventful day, we will ascend to the Archyz Face — the rock icon of Christ.
In the evening, we return to the guest house to our cozy rooms, for a delicious dinner, rest.

Day 6 - The observation deck of the Gum-Bashi pass, Honey waterfalls, Karachai farmstead. Departure
Delicious breakfast.
Today our way lies through the Gum-Bashi pass, which offers one of the best views of the Main Caucasian Ridge and Mount Elbrus.
After breathing in plenty of clean mountain air, admiring the mountains, we go further to the waterfalls with the sweet name – Honey.
Along the way, you will find out where Rome-Gora came from in the mountainous republic, taste mountain tea and jams made from various berries in the "Tea House".
It's so nice to be in a hot day in a gorge filled with water spray.
The bravest of you will be able to stand under the taut streams of the largest of the Honey Waterfalls – Ichki-Bash, which means "Goat's Head".
And that's why the waterfalls are called Honey waterfalls, our guide will tell you.
