Trekking in KMV parks and ecotropes

Welcome to the largest and most famous park of these places — the Kislovodsk Resort Park. 

This is a real forest country where squirrels run, slender fir trees rise into the sky, juniper creeps and fragile roses rejoice in the sun. 

Comfortable paths will instantly take us into the heart of the park.

To begin with, let's study the scheme and immediately understand how gigantic the park is! 

Do you think that the Kislovodsk Park is like that, just a couple of kilometers and that's it?

He will guide you through the most curious and delicious places: The Mirror Pond, the Valley of roses, the Temple of Air, the Gazebo of the Seven Winds, the Red Sun Mountain and the Small Saddle Mountain. 

By the evening you will find yourself on the top of Bolshoe Saddleback Mountain, and then you will realize that today you have passed only part of the park on the tour! 

In front of you, His Majesty Elbrus will sparkle with its icy slopes.

The light and music fountain shimmers with lights in the evening, its jets soar up with incredible ease and immediately fall down, obeying the rhythms of the music.

A trip to Kavminvody necessarily includes a visit to the city of Zheleznovodsk. 

It also has its own Resort Park, a large-scale reconstruction of which was carried out in 2019. 

Now the park boasts beautiful fountains and the longest cascading staircase in southern Russia.

We will start our journey in Zheleznovodsk from the railway station, slowly walk past the Ostrovsky baths, which resemble overseas mosques in their appearance. 

Then we move towards the spectacular palace of the Emir of Bukhara with golden balconies and Arabic script. 

On the way to it, we definitely make a wish near a huge egg with zodiac signs! 

Having made a wish, let's fly on! We stand for a moment near the sophisticated building of the Pushkin Gallery, then take a photo of the flower calendar — and here we are in the heart of the Zheleznovodsk Resort Park.

Let's move on! 

A convenient path made of fresh tiles beckons into a dense forest, along the path there are soulful bird feeders, and every 200 meters there is a stone by the road-a symbol of these places with the image of Mtsyri, a Demon or other mythical characters. 

By the middle of the day we will reach the Saltpetre rocks. These are picturesque rocks of gray color, in places they look like a layer cake

But the most important feature of these places is an observation deck in a single place! 

The city of Zheleznovodsk, Zheleznaya Mountain, Razvalka and forests, forests, forests around are visible. 

In this place, you definitely need to sit on the footrest and admire. 

Otherwise, the conquest of Saltpeter Rocks will not count for you!

Then the path of the tour to Kavminvody will lead to a Cascade staircase.

Going down it, we will see the pump room of the Stoss, Ferrum Square and go out to the Resort lake.

Zheleznovodsk is a city that tourists don't know much about. 

It is not as well-known as its popular neighbors Yessentuki or Pyatigorsk. 

Nevertheless, Zheleznovodsk is the most environmentally friendly city in Kavminvod!

This city is literally surrounded by greenery: in early spring, the eye will be pleased with the first, juicy foliage, which appears here already in late March — early April. 

Can you imagine how beautiful it is here in the golden autumn, in October? 

Forests put on their fiery outfit with crimson shades and flaunt themselves in front of tourists. 

In November, these places are still good, because the cold weather comes here a little later, and therefore the foliage on many trees lasts until mid-November.

Today we will have a completely forest route that will take place away from noisy trails. 

The forest path will persistently lead us up, up and up a little more. 

But, coming out on the saddle of the mountain, the heart will involuntarily freeze: the Snake and Zheleznaya mountains, the resort park, the lake and the panorama of Kavminvod will be visible in front of us. 

And then there will be a dilemma: if you go to the left, you will get to the Small Tau. 

By the way, Mount Beshtau is the highest of the 17 local mountains. 

Beshtau itself consists of five spurs or peaks, the highest of which is Bolshaya Beshtau — 1400 meters.

In each of our tours there is a cherry on the cake — this is a day that tourists are especially waiting for. 

A trip to Jilly-Su is just the cherry!

We take a minibus along a new, comfortable route to the world of the Gila-Su waterfalls and visit Elbrus itself. 

On the way, we will make a stop at a spectacular observation deck, which is very aptly called "Avatar Rocks". 

The highway to Jily-Su is an attraction in itself. 

After driving along it quite a bit, suddenly you see the snow giant Elbrus growing right in front of you! 

We will definitely make a photo gallery and capture this snow giant.

Then it will be the turn of trekking along the Gila-Su tract.

What is not here: hot springs, huge sand castles "Dragon's Teeth", narzanchiki and as many as 4 waterfalls. 

A calm Emir, a 70-meter Sultan, a stormy Kyzyl-Kol or a crazy Kara-Kaya?

It's up to you, at the end of the day we will choose the most interesting waterfall of the tour!

The tour of Kavminvody continues. 

We are going outside the city of Kislovodsk to see another unusual place — the Castle of treachery and love.

This medieval building is decorated with spectacular turrets, sculpting, and curly balconies. 

Let's look at the building from the outside, there is now a restaurant and a hotel inside it.

Then we will go trekking along the hiking trail to the Honey Waterfalls. 

Where does this name come from? 

Waterfalls pour from the rocks like honey from a barrel! 

Several openwork bridges have been built in this gorge, where we will take spectacular photos. 

The final point of the tour program will be a trip to Mount Koltso. 

This is a bizarre rock formation, which is 8 m wide and 12 m high.

Today, the city of Kislovodsk will again be in the center of our attention. 

Scientists say that of all the cities of Kavminvod, it is here that the largest number of sunny days of the year is 265!

Therefore, we will be happy to spend another sunny day of the tour in Kavminvody in Kislovodsk and take a new route in the Resort Park. 

Let's take a walk towards the Tea House and have a nice time in the Sunny Meadow.
