Trekking in KMV parks and ecotropes

A one-week author's tour in which we collected the most interesting sights of the Caucasian Mineral Waters. We will stay in a comfortable hotel and take light walks every day.

The program includes walks through the luxurious resort parks of Pyatigorsk, Zheleznovodsk and Kislovodsk, an ecotrope climb to the top of Beshtau and Zheleznaya Mountains, a trip to Elbrus and waterfalls 70 meters high.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival. Pyatigorsk

    12:00-12:30 (Moscow time) Gathering of the group at the railway station and at the Mineralnye Vody airport.

    Transfer by minibus to sunny Pyatigorsk (40 minutes).

    This city is held in the palms of their hands and embraced by five beautiful mountains: Mashuk, Beshtau, Dagger, Zheleznaya and Camel.

    During our trip, we will definitely climb one of them!

    We will start our walk around the city by visiting the place of Lermontov's duel, then we will see Lake Proval.

    Here we will make a wish near the monument to Ostap Bender.

    We continue our journey through the renovated Pyatigorsk Park and admire the unusual locations: the Aeolian harp, the Chinese gazebo and, of course, the bronze eagle!

    Then we will continue trekking through the Tsvetnik Park, which pleases tourists with beautiful flower clubs at any time of the year.

    The active part of the tour in Pyatigorsk and Kavminvody: 4.8 km, altitude difference 520-620 m, trekking duration 3-4 hours.

The difficulty level of the route: moderate (60% of the route), medium (40% of the route).

The route is trekking. Trekking is walking through mountainous (rugged) terrain. This type of active recreation involves daily climbing and dropping heights (ascents and descents).

The length of the route: 72.3 km .

The route runs at an altitude of 530-2300 m.

The route passes through forest trails, dirt roads, alpine meadows, large and small stones. The routes will have an altitude difference of 100 to 200 m per day. In three days of the route, the altitude difference will be from 590 m to 790 m. Climbing up 590-790 m is about the same as climbing 190-260 floors.

The tour includes accommodation in 2-, 3-bed rooms in a hotel:

  • arrival on April 11-17 — "Golden Star" in Pyatigorsk;
  • check-in on October 25-31 — Blagodat or a hotel of the same class in Kislovodsk.

The cost of the tour for 1 person is 71,400 rubles.

The surcharge for 1-bed accommodation is 20,500 rubles / the entire rest period.

The hotel is located in Pyatigorsk, in close proximity to the central part of the city. The following services are provided here: 24-hour front desk, taxi call, free Wi-Fi, daily cleaning and laundry. Ironing facilities are also available.

The room stock is represented by various categories, which are made in an individual style and bright colors. Each room has comfortable beds and a private bathroom. Some have access to a balcony. The windows overlook the city.

Nearby there is a grocery store and a cafe serving traditional dishes and a la carte drinks.

The nearest airport is about 19.2 km away, and the train station is 1 km away. Komsomolsky Park is located nearby, where you can walk.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Please note the rules for choosing clothes for a trip: in the Caucasus, you can wear trousers and T-shirts. You should not take shorts and T-shirts for a trip to the Caucasus.

  • cap / panama hat;
  • jacket. The air temperature in the early morning and late evening is +7...+12C.;
  • fleece. We recommend taking 2 fleeces: one for walking on the route (it gets a hiking smell quickly enough), the second clean and fresh fleece for walking in the hotel.;
  • T-shirt;
  • a light shirt with long sleeves. The shirt will protect your hands and neck from burning.;
  • The buff. Protects the neck from burning, can be used as a headdress or as a scarf.;
  • running trousers;
  • lingerie;
  • socks;
  • trekking shoes (ankle-length and above) and sneakers;
  • flip-flops (for walking in a hotel);
  • swimsuit;
  • for girls optional: dress for a photo shoot on the background of mountains;
  • waterproof clothing or raincoat;
  • trekking poles. The sticks significantly reduce the load on the knees. Physically strong and healthy tourists are recommended to have sticks with them. Tourists who have problems with knees, joints and excess weight must have trekking poles.;
  • passport / birth certificate of the child. It is mandatory to have the original documents (not a copy);
  • camera / video camera and charger;
  • toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, razor);
  • hairbrush;
  • sunglasses. For people with hypersensitivity of the eyes to sunlight, we recommend wearing glasses with an ultraviolet (UV) filter.;
  • 0.5 L plastic bottle (for drinking water on the route);
  • toilet paper (useful during the day, on the route);
  • Thermos flask volume 0.5-0.75 l;
  • mug, spoon;

  • backpack for walking (volume 20-25 liters). The backpack contains the tourist's personal belongings (fleece, raincoat, water bottle, etc.), as well as public food for lunch, which is provided by the instructor (the weight of the products is 400-600 grams);
