Trekking in KMV parks and ecotropes

Welcome to the largest and most famous park of these places — the resort park of Kislovodsk.

By lunchtime, you will find yourself on the top of Bolshoe Sadlo Mountain, and then you will realize that today the tour covered only part of the park!

In front of you, His Majesty Elbrus will sparkle with its icy slopes.

A trip to Kavminvody necessarily includes a visit to the city of Zheleznovodsk.

It also has its own Resort Park, which was extensively renovated in 2019.

Now the park boasts beautiful fountains and the longest cascading staircase in southern Russia.

We will start our journey in Zheleznovodsk from the railway station, slowly passing by the Ostrovsky baths, which resemble overseas mosques in their appearance.

Then we move towards the spectacular palace of the Emir of Bukhara with golden balconies and Arabic script.

On the way to him, we definitely make a wish near a huge egg with zodiac signs!

We stand for a moment near the elegant Pushkin Gallery building, then take a photo of the flower calendar — and now we are in the very heart of the Zheleznovodsk Resort Park.

A convenient path made of fresh tiles beckons into a dense forest, along the path there are soulful bird feeders, and every 200 meters there is a stone by the roadside-a symbol of these places with the image of Mtsyri, a Demon or other mythical characters.

By the middle of the day, we will reach the Saltpetre Rocks — picturesque gray rocks, in places they look like a layered pie.

But the most important feature of these places is the observation deck in a single place!

You can see the city of Zheleznovodsk, Zheleznaya Mountain, Razvalka and forests, forests, forests around.

In this place, you definitely need to sit on the footrest and admire.

Then the path of the tour to Kavminvody will lead to a Cascade staircase.

Going down it, we will see the Stoss pump room, Ferrum Square and go out to the Resort Lake.

Zheleznovodsk is a city that tourists don't know much about.

It is not as well-known as its popular neighbors Yessentuki or Pyatigorsk.

Nevertheless, Zheleznovodsk is the most ecologically clean city in Kavminvod!

Today we will have a completely forest route that will take place away from noisy trails.

The forest path will persistently lead us up, up, and up a little more.

But when we reach the saddle of the mountain, the heart involuntarily freezes: in front of us we will see the Snake and Zheleznaya mountains, the resort park, the lake and the panorama of Kavminvod.

And then there will be a dilemma: if you go to the left, you will get to Maly Tau.

By the way, Mount Beshtau is the highest of the 17 local mountains.

Beshtau itself consists of five spurs or peaks, the highest of which is bolshaya Beshtau — 1400 meters.

A trip to Jilly-Su is just the cherry!

We take a minibus along a new, comfortable route to the world of the Jila-Su waterfalls and visit Elbrus itself.

On the way, we will make a stop at the spectacular observation deck, which is aptly called "Avatar Rocks".

The Jili-Su highway is an attraction in itself.

After driving along it quite a bit, you suddenly see the snow giant Elbrus rising right in front of you!

We will definitely make a photo gallery and capture this snow giant.

Next, it will be the turn of trekking along the Gila-Su tract.

What is not here: hot springs, huge sand castles "Dragon's Teeth", narzanchi and as many as 4 waterfalls.

We are going outside the city of Kislovodsk to see another unusual place — the Castle of cunning and love.

This medieval building is decorated with spectacular turrets, sculpting, and curly balconies.

Let's look at the building from the outside, there is now a restaurant and a hotel inside it.

Then we will go trekking along the hiking trail to the Honey Waterfalls.

Several delicate bridges have been built in this gorge, on which we will take spectacular photos.

The final point of the tour program will be a trip to Mount Koltso.

This is a bizarre rock formation, which is 8 m wide and 12 m high.

Today we are leaving Kislovodsk and going to Mineralnye Vody.

On the way, we will visit a new city for us — Essentuki.

A very beautiful temple complex was built in Yessentuki a few years ago.

Its most important attraction is the 20 m high statue of Christ, which closely resembles the statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to this statue, we will see the Alley of philosophers, an Armenian church, a Greek chapel, white angels and even an exhibition of retro cars.

The territory of the complex is very large and well maintained.

We will be happy to take a walk here and explore this new attraction of Yessentuki.
