New Year in the Elbrus region. Active tour

We take a comfortable path to the Narzan Glade. Narzan is water of low mineralization, which contains useful trace elements.

During the New Year's tour, it is very pleasant to walk in the Elbrus region, because the forests here are like a real winter fairy tale.

Around us are magnificent firs and firs, covered with snow, huge snowdrifts and the Baksan River runs nearby. In sunny weather, it has an amazing emerald color. Huge stones are visible in the river, which in winter are decorated with snow caps or splashes of ice.

Narzanov glade is rightfully considered one of the wonders of the Elbrus region. In a huge forest clearing, several sources of narzan spring directly from the ground. One of them is incredibly powerful, even in winter it hits with full force!

Take empty bottles with you, let's collect medicinal narzan!

The active part of the New Year's tour: 12.6 km on foot, altitude difference – 2180-1960-2180 m, trekking duration – 6-7 hours.

The hiking ecotrope connects the Cheget and Elbrus mountains and is the beginning of our next winter tour of the New Year's Elbrus region.

The trail leads through a stunning pine forest, which later gives way to birch groves. A path without climbing. It's easy, beautiful, there's a river nearby and you can see the snowy spurs of Mount Elbrus.

A little less than an hour's walk – and we will come to a large clearing of Cheget. It is from here that the cable car begins, which will take us to a height of 3100 m.

An excursion to Elbrus and Cheget in winter is the best way to see from a height all the beauty of the New Year's Elbrus region!

Mount Cheget offers stunning views of the peaks of the Caucasus Range, the famous glacier "Semerochka", and Elbrus itself will be in the palm of your hand.

On Mount Cheget there is a sky-high cafe "Ai", which is very much loved by tourists for its round shape and stunning panoramic windows.

Then we will have a New Year's souvenir market: woolen shawls, magnets, teas, jams, sweaters, calendars… Whatever your heart desires!

You will also have free time to go sledding, cheesecake, skiing or snowboarding on Mount Cheget.

The active part of the New Year's tour: 14 km on foot, the height difference on the cable car is 2170-3045 m. The duration of the route is 6-7 hours.

Continuing our tour to the Elbrus region in winter, we go for a walk in the gorge of the Terskol River. There is a forest path underfoot, a river runs along the gorge, and a magnificent pine forest stretches along the mountain slopes.

If there is a lot of snow in winter, then the paths in the second part of the gorge are swept away. In this case, the instructor tramples the path and the whole group follows him.

The Elbrus region decorates its gorges endlessly beautifully for the New Year: pointed peaks rise in front, snow slopes delight the eye with their whiteness, and the paws of fir trees bend to the ground from fluffy snow.

At the end of the gorge is the Terskol glacier, which is 7 km long! It slides smoothly down the spur of Mount Elbrus. On a sunny day, the glacier sparkles and sparkles amazingly!

We admire the glacier from below, from the valley. And if you turn back, the peaks of the Main Caucasian Ridge will immediately be visible on the horizon. We will have lunch in this picturesque place, after which we will set off on our way back.

In the morning we go to the foot of Mount Elbrus! We descend along the path into the Azau canyon, made of colorful basalts. A river runs nearby, and all around, as far as the eye can see, is white, fluffy, New Year's snow.

We walk along the river to the waterfall. In winter, the Azau Waterfall looks like a huge, 80-meter-high ice stalagmite! Most of the waterfall is always frozen, but water is still running inside the ice shell.

Next, we will go to Elbrus itself, at the foot of which the souvenir market is bustling with life. Without visiting the market, it is impossible to imagine a vacation on Elbrus in winter. Prices are here for every wallet!

A trip to the Elbrus region for the New Year is the best gift you can make to yourself and your loved ones! Look around, right in front of us are the peaks of Donguz-orun, Kogutai, the famous glacier "Seven", the beauties of Shkhelda, Ushba and the mountain Cheget, so beloved by skiers.

The cable cars will quickly take us to a height of 3,840 m, to the very sky.

Ushba is considered to be one of the most difficult peaks in the Elbrus region. Climbers have a favorite story about how the Georgian Prince Dadeshkeliani presented Ushba to the mountaineer Cenci von Ficker in 1903 for conquering this peak. The Svans were very offended with the prince for giving the mountain to a stranger. To which the Prince replied: "The mountain just stood there, and it's nice for a woman."

Free time in the afternoon. You can walk around the souvenir market, visit the cozy cafes of the Elbrus region, or rent skis/snowboards and enjoy a ride!

Winter holidays on Elbrus are not only guided tours of the mountains, but also the joy of skiing.

The active part of the New Year's tour: the way to Mount Elbrus and back is 7.6 km on foot, the elevation difference is 2180-2380 m; the ascent by cable car is a height difference of 2380-3850 m. The duration of the route is 6-7 hours.

In the morning we say goodbye to the snowy Elbrus. Check-out from the hotel, transfer to Mineralnye Vody.

12:30-13:30 – arrival in Mineralnye Vody (airport, railway station), departure home.
