The real Russian winter is coming here! A lot of snow falls in the Elbrus region, which adorns the fir and spruce trees in the gorges with a shawl.

On the tour we will see frozen waterfalls, swim in thermal springs and taste real Caucasian narzan. We will walk along the snowy paths into the gorges, above which the mountains of the Main Caucasian Range rise.

We will also take a cable car ride on Elbrus! We'll also try real mountain tea and taste delicious lingonberry pies, which are baked only on Cheget. We are waiting for a daily light trekking through the most interesting places of the Elbrus region.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting, thermal springs
Group gathering:
13:30 railway station Min. Waters;
14:00 airport Min. Water.
Geduko thermal springs.
The tour starts with a pleasant swim in the thermal springs.
The Geduko complex has outdoor pools where you can swim in the healing, thermal water.
The water temperature reaches 50C and comes to the surface from a depth of about 4,000 meters.
It's so nice to soak up the hot pool when it's winter outside and snow is falling.
Bathing accessories (swimsuit, towel, slippers, hair clip) should be packed in advance in a separate bag and taken with you on the bus.
Transfer to Baksan gorge 2.5-3 hours, check-in at the hotel.

Day 2 - Adyl-Su Gorge, Kashkatash glacier
The Adyl-Su gorge is rightfully considered one of the most picturesque places in the Elbrus region!
It is decorated with the emerald river Adyl-Su, in the bed of which there are numerous mineral springs enriched with iron.
There is a pine forest on the slopes of the gorge, and bushes with a local berry, red barberry, are red along the road.
The further we go, the more picturesque it becomes around us: the pointed peaks of the Irik-Chat gorge rise up ahead, and the snow-and-ice slopes of the mountains delight the eye with their whiteness.
Undoubtedly, the Kashkatash glacier is an ornament of this valley.
We will look at Kashkatash from below, from the valley.
On a sunny day, the glacier sparkles and sparkles amazingly.
The active part of the route: 14.8 km, elevation difference 1780-2280 m, route duration 6-7 hours.

Day 3 - Elbrus-Cheget ecotrope, cable car to Cheget Mountain
The hiking ecotrope connects the Cheget and Elbrus mountains and is the beginning of our next winter excursion.
The trail leads through a stunning pine forest, which later gives way to birch groves.
A path without climbing, just like you like!
A little less than an hour's walk — and we will come to a large clearing of Cheget.
It is from here that the cable car begins, which will take us to a height of 3100 m.
An excursion to Elbrus and Cheget in winter is the best way to see the beauty of the winter Caucasus from a height!
Mount Cheget offers stunning views of the peaks of the Caucasus Range and the famous glacier "Semerochka".
On Mount Cheget there is a sky-high cafe "Ai", which is very much loved by tourists for its round shape and stunning panoramic windows.
Then we will have a souvenir market: woolen shawls, magnets, teas, jams, sweaters, calendars.
Also today you will have free time to go sledding, cheesecake, skiing or snowboarding on Mount Cheget.
Active part: 4 km on foot, elevation difference on the cable car is 2170-3045 m. The duration of the route is 6-7 hours.

Day 4 - Terskol Gorge, glacier and Terskol Waterfall
Continuing our tour, we go for a walk in the gorge of the Terskol River.
There is a forest path underfoot, a river runs along the gorge, and a magnificent pine forest stretches along the mountain slopes.
If there is a lot of snow in winter, then the paths in the second part of the gorge are swept away.
In this case, the instructor tramples the path and the whole group follows him.
At the end of the gorge is the Terskol glacier, which is 7 km long!
On a sunny day, the glacier sparkles and sparkles amazingly!
We admire the glacier from below, from the valley.
We will have lunch in this picturesque place, after which we will set off on our way back.

Day 5 - Azau Ice Waterfall, cable car to Elbrus
In the morning we go to the foot of Mount Elbrus!
We descend along the path into the Azau Canyon, made of colorful basalts.
We walk along the river to the waterfall.
In winter, the Azau Waterfall looks like a huge, 80-meter-high ice stalagmite!
Most of the waterfall is always frozen, but water is still running inside the ice shell.
Next, we will go to Elbrus itself, at the foot of which the souvenir market is bustling with life.
The cable cars will quickly take us to a height of 3,840 m, to the very sky.
Ushba is considered to be one of the most difficult peaks of these places.
Free time in the afternoon.
You can walk around the souvenir market, visit cozy cafes, or rent skis/snowboards and enjoy a ride!
Winter holidays on Elbrus are not only guided tours of the mountains, but also the joy of skiing.
The active part: the way to Mount Elbrus and back is 7.6 km on foot, the elevation difference is 2180-2380 m; the ascent by cable car is a height difference of 2380-3850 m.
The duration of the route is 6-7 hours.

Day 6 - Ecotrope to the Narzanov Glade. Departure
We take a comfortable path to the Narzan Meadow.
Narzan is water of low mineralization, which contains useful trace elements.
Narzanov glade is rightfully considered one of the local wonders.
In a huge forest clearing, several sources of narzan spring directly from the ground.
One of them is incredibly powerful, even in winter it hits with full force!
Take empty bottles with you, let's collect medicinal narzan!
Active part: 12.6 km on foot, altitude difference — 2180-1960-2180 m, duration — 4-5 hours.
Check out of the hotel, transfer to Mineralnye Vody.
16:00-17:00 Arrival in Mineralnye Vody (airport, bus station, railway station), departure home.
Return tickets should be purchased for transport that departs from Mineralnye Vody after 18:00.

The route is trekking and involves walking through mountainous rough terrain. This type of outdoor activity involves daily climbing and dropping heights — ascents and descents.

The route follows snow trails and dirt roads. The routes will have an altitude difference of 200 to 500 m per day for three days. Climbing 200-500 m is like climbing 65-160 floors.

The hotel is located in the Elbrus National Park, just 2 km from Mount Elbrus and the slopes of Cheget Glade and Azau Glade.

2-, 3-bed standard rooms, room amenities, TV, Wi-Fi, towel provided. You can ask the administrator for a hair dryer. There is no kettle, there is a refrigerator in the shared kitchen. There is a drying room for things.

The hotel has a laundry room, billiard room, table tennis (these services are available for an additional fee). Ski equipment rental, table tennis and billiards are available (these services are available for an additional fee). There is no kitchen for tourists.
