The Argun Gorge was formed by washing the river through the northern slope of the Black Mountains, which have a height of up to 4,700 meters.
Several hundred ancient architectural monuments, cyclopean structures, as well as prehistoric cave dwellings of people have been preserved in the gorge.
Since ancient times, it has been famous as a trade route along which caravans from the Caucasus to Europe traveled.
On the way, we will make a stop to see the famous Ushkaloy Towers, which were restored in 2011.
The twin towers were built in the XI-XII century and, unfortunately, have not been preserved in their original form.
They are considered a unique historical object of the country, and are also the hallmark of the Chechen Republic.
