We decided to create this tour for "visuals", those who go for beautiful photos in their album, ready to share them on social networks! This tour is for the fun and hardy. Passes, lots and lots of mountains, dances, contests and songs are waiting for you! There will be Gamsutl and Kahib with Goor, Choh, Sulak and waterfalls, because Dagestan is waiting for us!

During the 4 days of our trip, we will see the most "delicious" locations of Dagestan. We will spend the night in mountain guest houses to feel the spirit of the peoples of Dagestan, where 40 languages are spoken, 14 of which are official. Waterfalls, high-altitude reservoirs, delicious national food and picnics among stunning landscapes are waiting for us.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Group meeting. Sulak Canyon
Meeting at the airport of Makhachkala until 12:00.
Departure to the Sulak Canyon.
Chirkeyskoye reservoir.
13:00 Lunch at a restaurant on one of the best trout farms in Dagestan.
Sulak Canyon is one of the most beautiful in the world and the deepest canyon in Europe. It surpasses even the Grand Canyon in Arizona in depth. From the observation deck in Dubki village, we will admire the turquoise waters of Sulak, enjoy the beauty and power of the Sulak Canyon.
Descent to Zubutli village and boating for an additional fee.

Day 2 - Hamsutl villages, Saltinsky waterfall
08:00 Breakfast.
Saltinsky waterfall. No one is indifferent – the highlight of Dagestan, a real miracle of nature, hidden from prying eyes. The views here are really wonderful!
13:00 Lunch of national cuisine.
Ghost village of Gamsutl, stunning view from the side of the village of Gunib.
Despite the fact that the Gumsutl mountain village has been abandoned for a long time and is located in a remote place, high in the mountains, the flow of tourists there does not dry up.
A few decades ago, a highway led to the village, but today only a narrow path remains of it.
You can walk up to the village.
Jeeps of local residents are available for an additional fee.

Day 3 - Khunzakh Plateau, Matlas Extreme Park
08:00 Breakfast.
Today is the day of immersion in the real Caucasian culture! We will visit with you a Caucasian family in one of the mountain villages, get acquainted with the way of life and traditions of one of the many peoples of Dagestan.
We will find out what real Caucasian hospitality is and try the eco-cuisine of the Caucasus.
Transfer to Hunzakh. The Khunzakh plateau is called the heart of mountainous Dagestan. And the two waterfalls streaming down from the rocks, Tobot and Itlatlar, make this heart beat.
13:00 Lunch.
Matlas Extreme Park. This is the first via Ferrata in the republic – a rocky section equipped with braces and cables for passing with stunning and unique views of the mountains.
A stone bowl. The stone bowl is popularly called one of the gorges of the Khunzakh district, near Matlas. Inconspicuous rocks hidden behind a winding serpentine hide a completely different world inside.

Day 4 - Goor and Kahib
08:00 Breakfast.
Goor is one of the most picturesque villages in the country of the blue mountains. Its battle towers are often depicted as a symbol of mountainous Dagestan.
The Troll's tongue. The Troll's language, by analogy with the Norwegian landmark, is called a 5-meter rocky ledge over a precipice near the village of Stary Goor.
13:00 Lunch.
Kahib is one of the oldest villages in Dagestan. The old Kahib — Bakdab and its battle towers were built in the VIII-X centuries. The areas of the village of Bakdab were inhabited in the Stone and Bronze Ages.Datun Temple built in the V-VI century by Georgian missionaries
The Karadakh Gorge is a unique natural monument of Dagestan, which is often called the "Gate of Wonders". Few people know about this unusual corner of nature and therefore do not often visit it.

Day 5 - Naryn-Kala fortress, Juma mosque and maiden baths. Departure
08:00 Breakfast.
Departure for a tour of the most ancient city of Russia – Derbent. You will learn the history of the most ancient city in Russia, a tour of the Naryn-Kala fortress will reveal many secrets of the city with the name "Closed Gates".
Visit to the Naryn-Kala fortress. The tour will reveal the ancient history of the fortress, which protected the city from the invasion of nomads for thousands of years. along the streets of the Old Town (magalam).
A walk of the ancient Juma Mosque.
The mosque is surprisingly well preserved and was recently included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Girls' baths. You will see the Underground baths, traditional for the East, a place for ablution before the marriage ceremony (external inspection).

Departure to Makhachkala airport (recommended departure time is after 21:00).
