Dagestan is not translated as "the land of mountains" for nothing, and on this journey we will discover for you the hidden corners of the mountainous part of the republic.

The old Kahib, or Dagestan Atlantis, is hidden on the mountainside, the houses here seem to grow out of the rock, reliably hiding their inhabitants from the eyes of outsiders.

You will walk among the ancient ruins, admiring the architecture and landscape of the ancient settlement.

After the walk, you will have a hearty lunch with a hospitable Avar family.

Old Goor is a real pearl of Dagestan.

It is here that you will take gorgeous photos in the "troll language", so named by one of the first tourists, which, of course, is a reference to the Norwegian landmark, and is not one iota inferior to it in beauty.

You will see ancient watchtowers that contain the legends of bygone centuries.

Next, we invite you to the picturesque village of Golotl, an ideal starting point for dynamic rafting on a mountain river (from 2000 rubles). Along the way, you will feel the power of the rapids, see clear water and impressive gorges, and stops near the coast will give you great photos.

Today we will continue to explore mountainous Dagestan and get acquainted with the traditions of the Avar people.

Gamsutl is a famous abandoned village in Dagestan at an altitude of 1,500 m above sea level. It is full of legends and tall tales, and among the cluster of deserted houses of Dagestan Machu Picchu, only the wind and brave tourists wander here.

We will descend to Gamsutl from the top of the village of Sogratl, an ancient settlement in the Gunib district, historically known as the center of Andalal or the Andalal Free Society.

Sogratl is located among the mountains of the Nukatl range above the valley of the Tsamtichai River. During the ascent to the top, you will enjoy views of the famous Sedlo and Mayak mountains.

At lunch, we will have familiar Avar national dishes: khinkal, botishal and apricot porridge.

We will make a stop at another iconic place — the amazing Chokh terraces.

Our next point will be the famous Saltinsky waterfall. The only underground waterfall in Dagestan is located in the Gunibsky district, near the village of Salta.

An incredible picture opens before you.: A waterfall bursts through the rocks from a height of 20 meters into the gorge with a powerful pressure, forming a pond in which you can swim.

The first stop is at the Lun ekranoplane, an ingenious creation of Soviet engineering.

A visit to the Naryn-Kala citadel will reveal to you the ancient history of the fortress, which has protected the city from the invasion of nomads and conquerors for hundreds of years.

While walking through the narrow streets of the old town, enveloped in the aromas of fresh pastries, you will experience the unique oriental flavor of Derbent.

Next, we will have a feast in the ethnodome with dishes of South Dagestan cuisine: dolma, shah pilaf, chudu and tea drinking.

To take away not only memories, but also memorable gifts, the program includes a visit to a souvenir shop where you can buy local handicrafts, tea, sweets and much more.

Group transfer to the airport and railway station of Makhachkala upon departure.
