Itinerary

Day 1 - Sulak Canyon. The sand dune of Sary-Kum. Nakho Caves
10:00 Meeting at the airport of Makhachkala.
Let's go to the Sulak Canyon, the hallmark of the Republic of Dagestan and the deepest canyon in Europe.
12:00 We will walk over the suspension bridge located at an altitude of 60 meters from the Sulak River to reach the caves of Nakho.
Those who wish will be able to bungee jump from the bridge (self-paid).
14:00 Lunch (approximate time).
16:00 We will go down to the Irganai reservoir, a place for individual bloggers tours, after which people fell in love with Dagestan, and take a speedboat ride!
20:00 Along the mountain serpentine we arrive at the guest house in the mountains, where we stay.
After that, we will have a dinner with homemade Dagestan cuisine.

Day 2 - The edge of towers and waterfalls. Alloy!
09:00 Goor village – the land of the famous Caucasian towers.
Once it was an impregnable defensive complex of seven towers and residential buildings located on the edge of a sheer precipice.
It is here that we will take vivid photos in Dagestan "troll language" – a 5-meter rocky ledge over a precipice.
It offers a view of the valley of the Avar Koisu!
We are going here before the majority of tourists!
12:00 Rafting on the river.
We will provide you with life jackets, helmets and paddles.
Instructors are active rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, they will show you how to rafting on mountain rivers. Everything is safe, there has not been a single emergency in many years! It will be one of the brightest emotions of your trip!
14:00 Lunch (approximate time).
16:00 of the Khunzakh plateau.
We will visit the Tobot Waterfall, a Stone Bowl and make coffee in a turk on the edge of the Matlas plateau in the light of the setting Sun!
21:00 Home-cooked dinner.

Day 3 - Dagestan Machu Picchu Gamsutl
09:00 After breakfast, excursion to Gamsutl village, one of the oldest settlements in Dagestan.
It is located at an altitude of 1,500 m.
The ghost village is unique in its unusual architecture, similar to the city in Peru – Machu Picchu.
To avoid the grueling climb, our group will be transported by off-road vehicles.
13:00 We will visit the mountain village of Chokh.
There are many agricultural terraces of mountaineers here, which have been cultivated by many generations of Dagestanis.
14:00 Lunch (approximate time).
17:00 Gunib is one of the most picturesque districts of Dagestan.
The view of the sunset mountains collects a mind-boggling number of likes on social networks!
We will also visit the mountain Keger and the Aivazovsky glade (from where the artist painted the mountain Gunib from nature).
21:00 Return to the guest house.
Rest.
Supper.

Day 4 - Saltinsky waterfall. Transfer to Derbent
09:00 After breakfast we drive to the Saltinsky waterfall.
An underground waterfall awaits you.
The Saltinka mountain river flows through the picturesque Kudalinsky Canyon, and then suddenly literally falls through a portal in the rock.
15:00 Arrival in the oldest city of Russia – Derbent.
Check-in at the hotel.
16:00 We will go to the shore of the Caspian Sea.
Without the crowds of tourists, we will be able to take vivid photos against the background of a unique hybrid of a ship and an aircraft, the Lun ekranoplane.
Also here we will meet the sunset on the Caspian Sea, and those who wish will be able to swim in it.
19:00 Final dinner at the hotel restaurant (self-paid).
21:00 Walk to the largest singing fountain in Russia!
After that, an independent walk through the night Derbent.
Our hotel is located within walking distance of the Northern walls of the fortress!
Day 5 - Derbent. Naryn-kala Fortress
08:00 We have breakfast and go on a tour of the ancient fortress of Naryn-Kala, the hallmark of Derbent.
This citadel is included in the UNESCO list as a significant historical and cultural monument.
The ancient fortress is over 5,000 years old!
The thickness of the preserved walls in some places reaches 3.5 meters.
13:00 Lunch.
After lunch, we will walk along the thousand-year-old streets of old Derbent, visit the souvenir counter.
At 15:00 we will leave for Makhachkala to catch the evening flights to the airport.
The average travel time is 2.5 hours.

Amazing and unforgettable five days in Dagestan, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. A big thanks to our guide, Arsen, for the well-planned route, his care, and punctuality throughout the trip! We visited all the places and attractions included in the tour, and we were always well taken care of—with plenty of food, water, and photo opportunities. A jeep tour is definitely the best way to see so much in a short amount of time. The only downside was that our room in the 'house in the mountains' didn’t have WiFi, and meals like breakfast and dinner were served quite slowly. However, in Derbent, we stayed in a luxurious hotel room. Speaking of Derbent, the tour of the fortress and the city with our guide Hosha was incredibly engaging and informative!
