Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting at the airport. Climbing the highest Dune in Europe. Sightseeing tour of the evening city of Makhachkala.
Until 11:00 meeting at the airport of Makhachkala (we can also meet you at the railway station)
13:00 Lunch. After lunch, we leave immediately for the active part of the program.
Today we will go to the Sulak Canyon - the hallmark of the Republic of Dagestan and the deepest canyon in Europe. It is even 63 meters deeper than the famous Grand Canyon in the USA!
We will drive along the Sulak Canyon, stop in places that the majority of tourists do not reach, go down to the Irganai reservoir - a place for individual bloggers tours, after which people fell in love with Dagestan, and take a boat ride there!
We will walk over the suspension bridge, located at an altitude of 60 meters from the Sulak River, to reach the Naho caves.
For fans of extreme recreation, there is a zipline along which you can descend from a height of 250 meters.
20:00 We arrive at the guest house in the mountains, where we each stay in our own room with amenities inside (approximate time).
We rest and have a late dinner at 21:00,

Day 2 - The edge of towers and waterfalls
8:00 a.m. Breakfast.
9:00 We leave for the Karadakh gorge.
"Gate of Wonders", "Slate Gorge", Betskvarili – all these are informal names of the Karadakh gorge, a unique natural monument of Dagestan.
You will walk along the bottom of a narrow canyon with only 2-4 meters between the walls!
12:00 Departure to the village of Goor – the land of the famous Caucasian towers.
Once it was an impregnable defensive complex of seven towers and residential buildings located on the edge of a sheer precipice.
It is here that we will take vivid photos in Dagestan "troll language" – a 5-meter rocky ledge over a precipice.
It offers a view of the valley of the Avar Koisu!
15:00 Lunch right with gorgeous views of the mountain ranges, which could be worthy decorations for the movie “The Lord of the Rings”!
Here you will find the most delicious miracles in Dagestan and other dishes.
15:00 After a hearty lunch, we head towards the Tobot waterfall (Khunzakh plateau).
We will visit the Stone Bowl, the waterfalls of Matlas, where we can test ourselves by jumping into the abyss with a rope or ride a zipline.
And we will also meet the sunset on the edge of a steep cliff with the Sun going down behind the majestic mountains.
We will have a pleasant surprise for you this evening (in good weather).
20:00 Return to the guest house.

Day 3 - Dagestan Machu Picchu Gamsutl
07:00 Getting up, collecting things.
08:00 Breakfast.
We have a lot of interesting things to see today:
First, we will visit the ghost village of Gamsutl.
Then we will go to the observation decks of the Gunib fortress and the village of Chokh.
We will also go down to the underground Saltinsky waterfall and move to Derbent.
9:00 Transfer to Gamsutl village – one of the oldest settlements in Dagestan. It is located at an altitude of 1500m.
The ghost village is unique in its unusual architecture, similar to the city in Peru – Machu Picchu.
To avoid a grueling climb, we usually arrange for our group to be brought in on an all-terrain vehicle.
14:00 We will visit the mountain village of Chokh. There are many agricultural terraces of the highlanders, which were cultivated by many generations of Dagestanis.
Here we will have lunch planned in a guest house with gorgeous mountain views!
15:00 Transfer to Gunib.
We'll have lunch here. Gunib is one of the most picturesque districts of Dagestan. There are 300 sunny days a year here.
The highest point of the Gunib plateau is Mount Mayak (2352m).
The view of the sunset mountains collects a mind-boggling number of likes on social networks!
We will also visit the mountain Keger and the Aivazovsky glade (from where the artist painted the mountain Gunib from nature).
21:00 Return to the guest house.
Rest. Supper. Homemade, national cuisine.

Day 4 - Saltinsky waterfall. Transfer to Derbent
08:00 Breakfast.
09:00 We leave for the Saltinsky waterfall.
An underground waterfall awaits you. The Saltinka mountain river flows through the picturesque Kudalinsky Canyon, and then suddenly literally falls through a portal in the rock. The place is amazing!
13:00 We move to Derbent. Check into the hotel
16:00 We will go to the shore of the Caspian Sea. Without crowds of tourists, we will be able to take vivid photos against the background of a unique hybrid of a ship and an airplane – the Lun ekranoplane
19:00 We order dinner today on our own (according to our preference), as it will be the final one
Day 5 - Derbent, departure
08:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 We have breakfast and go on a tour of the ancient fortress of Naryn-kala - the hallmark of Derbent. This citadel is included in the UNESCO list as a significant historical and cultural monument. The age of the ancient fortress is more than 5,000 years old! The thickness of the preserved walls in some places reaches 3.5 meters!
13:00 Lunch.
After lunch, we will walk along the thousand-year-old streets of old Derbent, go to the souvenir counter and leave for Makhachkala to catch evening flights to the airport.
We recommend taking return flights after 19:00 local time.
You can also extend your vacation on the shores of the Caspian Sea – we will select hotels for you.
