Horse riding tour through Dombay and Elbrus: Kuban Ring

After breakfast, we leave for the village of Khurzuk.

We saddle the horses and climb from Khurzuk to the Kebek-Basha gorge, where there is a forest house, at an altitude of 2600m, there is everything necessary for our overnight stay. 

We set up camp and set up tents.

At the end of the day – evening stars, bonfire, dinner, rest.

We are not going to camp for the night today. We will return here. 

We ride to the neighboring Tar-Kol gorge to the lakes Dzhuguturlu-Kel and Chuchhurlu-Kel, and above there is Lake Kangshau, you can walk to it and walk, depending on your desire, at an altitude of 2800m. 

We will also climb to the observation peak of the mountain, which connects 4 gorges: Tar-Kol, Kichkini-Kol, Tabshyn-Kol and Ullu-Kam. 

Lunch at the lakes. 

Everyone can swim in the lake on horseback.

In the evening – return to the camp, dinner by the campfire, legends and songs.

Our adventure continues with the dawn! 

After a hearty breakfast, we pack up the camp and go on an exciting hike to Jyly-Suu. Crossing the Kyzyl-Airy pass, we admire the immense views that open up to Elbrus.

 We are climbing to a height of 3,000 meters. 

And then we descend into the picturesque Kichkini-Kol gorge, and the Ullu-Khurzuk valley, a descent that is steeper than a roller coaster will give you unforgettable emotions.

The reward for our efforts is an unforgettable swim in hot tubs!

To end our energetic day, we set up camp and raise tents in this amazing abode of nature. 

Now we can enjoy its beauty and power to the fullest.

The morning at the camp is shrouded in freshness and the expectation of new adventures. 

The sun, just rising above the mountain peaks, opens up endless expanses in front of us, inviting us to long journeys. In the morning, you can swim in the springs again. 

Then we pack our backpacks, stock up on a delicious lunch, saddle up the horses and go to the lake Karly Kel. 

At the Jelly pass at the very foot of Elbrus, then we go down into the Kyukurtlu gorge. We will descend through the volcanic ash through the Tau-Dzhylamuk waterfall to the longest glacier tongue in Europe.

We will enjoy the incredible views, have lunch and then go down the Kyukurtlu gorge back to our camp.

We have breakfast and assemble the camp! The ascent is in two senses at once: wake up and ride horses steeply-steeply up – to the relict lake Hurla-Kel.

Our path will run through the picturesque valley of Ullu-Khurzuk, through gorges and saddles, through incredible passes and plateaus at an altitude of 3300m. 

After descending to the lake and choosing a cozy place to set up camp, take a walk along the shores, arrange trekking along the rocky harsh monuments – photo shoots are mandatory in the program! Take a chance to swim in the crystal water!

Yesterday you met the magical tints of sunset, and today you will admire the changeability of the colors of dawn on Hurla Kel. 

The latest unique photographs show a team of riders moving through a mountain gorge to the already familiar valley of Ullu-Khurzuk. Goodbye, kind, smart and beloved friends-horses! 

An active and sometimes even extreme equestrian tour in the North Caucasus will finish in Karachayevsk. 

Here you can clean up, take a bath or steam in the sauna.

The trip to the Caucasus was very eventful and you need to have a good rest before leaving tomorrow!
