New Year in Ingushetia

On this day, the hike begins with a visit to the village and the fortress of Beini. 

Let's admire the ancient fortress walls, in the photo they look especially impressive against the background of snow-dusted mountains.

This is not the only tower complex in the Dzheyrakh gorge — then the path of the tourist group leads through the village of Duhurgisht towards the village of Furtoug. 

Since we are high above the gorge, the capricious bends of the Armkhi River, the bulk of the Main Caucasian Ridge and part of the snow-covered forest canyon are perfectly visible along the way. 

Moreover, walking, you can see the silhouette of the frozen Kazbek (5033 m).

After enjoying the views, we go to the ancient fortress of Furtoug.

In the late afternoon, the group will visit Furtaugsky or Mendeleevsky waterfalls. 

It is located in Furtoug village, located on the slope of Table Mountain. 

In winter, a 12-meter stream, selflessly falling from a cliff, partially freezes. 

But the mini waterfalls, modestly murmuring to the right of the main one, look especially fabulous. 

On winter days, they turn into diamond icicles, dazzling in the sun on a fine day.

A trip to the beginning of the Salginsky gorge, where travelers will walk through charming locations.

During the promenade, we will see a unique watchtower built between the stones — Magoy-Gel. 

The tract is also full of fortress ensembles such as Lala, Gu, Salgi and Hani — you can arrange a competition for the most majestic tower.

At the end of the journey, tired but satisfied, the travelers will descend to the city of Salgi, near which a mountain river flows and an emerald-malachite pine-scented forest flaunts on the slopes.

Here we will relax, enjoy the silence and set off on our way back.

An amazing program awaits travelers today — we will visit the unexplored and mystical, Ingush Terra incognita!

Hiking trips on this day will not be as long as on previous ones, but the saturation of attractions will increase significantly.

On this day, the New Year's hike as part of the Ingushetia tour mainly covers the amazing towers built by the ancient people. 

First of all, we will go to the restored Erzi tower complex, which can be viewed in all its glory. 

It was on its territory that the legendary Eagle of Suleiman was found — a statuette cast in bronze and dated to the 8th century AD. 

Soon, the panorama from the height of the Tsey Loam pass will open to the admiring eyes of travelers. 

From here you can clearly see the proud Kazbek, the Dzheyrakh gorge, the ice mountain Shan, the Main Caucasian Ridge, and of course, the beautiful Tsey Loam - the sacred peak of these places.

The next points to which we will head are the Egical tower complex and the Assin gorge with a turquoise ribbon of a deep river. 

This day of the New Year's tour of Ingushetia will also introduce travelers to the temple of Thaba-Yerdy, which is a remarkable mix of age-old layers and layers of cultures.

And for dessert — snow-covered towers Inside.

The latter is a real cherry on the cake, as the tower complex looks amazing next to the Tsorey-Loam ridge.

The dining room is a sacred mountain for the Ingush. 

Previously, the inhabitants of these places climbed the mountain once a year, to the shrine of Myat-Seli. 

They asked the higher powers for a rich harvest and good weather.

You and I will also climb this sacred mountain! 

During the New Year holidays, we will make wishes here or just admire the great views. 

And the views here are some of the most amazing for the whole tour! 

In clear weather, the Main Caucasian Ridge and Mount Kazbek (5033 m) are visible. 

Kazbek is located in Georgia, but it is perfectly visible from our route. 

It's great to see a five–thousand-year-old on New Year's Eve!

On this day, our plan is to first climb up to the gazebo on Table Mountain. 

If the weather permits, then we go even higher, to the temple of Myat-Seli.

The active part of the New Year's tour: 5.2 / 12.1 km (to the gazebo / to the temple), altitude difference 1580-1970 / 1580-2510 (to the gazebo / to the temple), the duration of the route in Ingushetia is 6-8 hours.

On the final day of the tour we will go to the city of Vladikavkaz. 

There is a cozy pedestrian street in the city center, beautifully decorated during the New Year holidays.

16:00-17:00 Arrival in Mineralnye Vody, departure home.
