Irkutsk (Listvyanka) – Ushkany Islands – Irkutsk on the Alexander the Great ship

We will reach the famous island of Olkhon, the "heart" of Lake Baikal. It is here that we will see the famous Shamanka Rock – one of the nine shrines of Asia, for sure, you have already seen it on postcards or on television – because this is the most famous Baikal landscape.

The indigenous inhabitants of the Baikal region are Buryats, today we will touch their culture. Most Buryats practice either Buddhism or Shamanism. In the morning, we will make a landing on the small island of Ogoy and visit the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment – a fairly modern landmark, but with an interesting history.

Very early in the morning, while Lake Baikal is still covered with fog, we will land on the Small Ushkany Islands. You will have the opportunity to visit the Baikal seal rookery and observe these cute animals in the wild (attention! payment is made on the spot to the national gamekeeper.the cost of the park is about 2500 rubles/person.)

After lunch, we will arrive in Chivyrkuy Bay – here we will have enough time for sunny Baikal baths and swimming in Lake Baikal. And for those who still find Baikal water too cold, there are hot springs here that are useful for the treatment of sciatica and the musculoskeletal system.

In the evening, a quiz on the theme "Sacred Lake Baikal" awaits you in the restaurant.

We have reached the north of Lake Baikal! We will land in the bay of Ayaya (from the Evenk "aya" – beautiful, beautiful). We are going to hike along the picturesque taiga ecotrope to the Frolikha mountain glacial lake (7 km., the difficulty level is average). The view that we get at the end of the way is worthy of a route twice as long and more difficult, because Frolikha is one of the most intimate, untouched pearls of the Baikal nature.

And in the evening, in case of favorable weather, we will land at the village of Hakusa. This is a natural resort on the northeastern coast of Lake Baikal with a powerful thermal spring gushing from a cliff in a dense pine forest. There are swimming pools on the territory, if desired, you can swim – a fee of about 500 rubles / person is charged.

We arrive at Zavorotnaya Bay. Today we will have an exciting walk (about 3 km in one direction) to the relict poplars and cedars, some of them with a diameter of more than 2 meters!

There are really fishing spots here, so a good catch is expected for fishing enthusiasts. And our chef will be happy to cook a fragrant fish soup.

Today we will return to fr. Olkhon, but this time to its northern part – Cape Sagan-Khushun. An excursion to the Three Brothers rock awaits us, and our wonderful tour guide will tell you the legend of why this place is so called, how it appeared.

At the request of the guests, it is possible to organize a car tour of northern Olkhon to Cape Khoboy.  Registration for the tour is made in advance 4,000 rubles / person, duration 3 hours, the tour will take place in case of recruitment of 8 people or more).

In the afternoon, our ship will arrive in the Surkhaite area and we will take a walk to the women's and men's healing spring.

Our day will be full of hiking and beach holidays. We arrive at Akademicheskaya Bay, the Baikal Dunes recreation center. To begin with, we will go to Babushka Bay, past Sandy Bay (1.5 km, the difficulty level is low). Along the way, we will see "stilted" trees, and the goal of our route will be a beautiful sandy beach with an azure bay.

After lunch, an excursion to the Ferris Rock (2.5 hours, the difficulty level is average). A small uphill climb will more than pay off with a breathtaking panorama of Lake Baikal. After returning– a Russian bathhouse on the shore of Lake Baikal.
