The whole of Lake Baikal in 7 days

After an early breakfast, we go to the national park, visit the unique bay.

We reach the area of Monakhovo and transfer to the boat.

And now we are rushing along the Chivyrkuysky Bay – one of the most picturesque bays of the lake, where unique islands are located – natural monuments.

In Snake Bay, you can swim in hot springs (be sure to take a towel and a swimsuit), along the way you will see several unique lizard–like islands, as well as birds whose population has recently been restored - cormorants.

A small picnic snack will be organized during the trip.

Be sure to bring a bottle of water with you.

Do not forget that Lake Baikal is harsh, and very often there is excitement on the water and wind (preferably warm clothes and a headdress).

Additionally: upon request (inform in advance), you can order: a visit to the Ushkany Island with the possibility of observing the seal.

Today is a very interesting day, we will cross the lake with you by boat, moving to Olkhon Island.

After an early breakfast, we will walk through the entire Baikal over the deepest place.

We will see from the water, in good weather, the virgo rock on Cape Khoboy (in Buryat, Khoboy means "fang, molar tooth").

Nowhere on the shore is the full power of Lake Baikal felt, as when moving by boat!

No wonder the locals call it the sea and always speak respectfully about it.

(Attention! The weather on Lake Baikal changes very often, so delays are possible, i.e. boats are waiting for the weather)

Moving by boat across Lake Baikal, make a wish, it comes true almost all the time, transfer to UAZ cars and go to Cape Khoboy (the northernmost point of the island).

After exploring the cape, we go to the village of Khuzhir.

Check-in at the base, rest.

(Attention! In case of a storm or strong wind, the program may be changed and the transfer will be carried out overnight or the next morning)

Today is a free day to stay on Olkhon Island.

Olkhon Island is the largest island of Lake. Baikal.

It has long been considered the sacred center of the northern shamanic world, where Mongolian shamans fled during the persecution of their lamas in the era of Genghis Khan.

Due to its isolation, Olkhon Island became the last stronghold of the shamans of Northern Asia.

The village (formerly ulus) of Khuzhir is located next to the famous Cape Burkhan, just behind it is a magnificent sandy beach.

A great opportunity to ride horses or bicycles.

We advise you to take a walk along the Saraysky Bay, relax on the sandy shore, and sunbathe.

When buying a tour, we recommend that you purchase water excursions to Ogoy and rock viewing in advance.

Visit the Shamanka rock, which has been considered a sacred place since ancient times, covered with secrets and legends, take a photo for memory.

There is a through cave in the rock, where women are not recommended to go.

Lunch and dinner on your own, in any cafe in the village.

After an early breakfast at the campsite, we are going on the road, we leave for Irkutsk (5-6 hours) as part of a team group (we move by minibus, for small groups of up to 6 people, only accompanied by a driver).

We move to the mainland by ferry through the Olkhon Gate in the Small Sea and drive along an asphalt road.

We have lunch on the way (at our own expense).

In Irkutsk, we check into a hotel (leave our things), and after a short sightseeing tour of the city, we drive along the Baikal tract to the village of Listvyanka (about 1 hour), where the Angara River originates.

Excursion to the Limnological Museum, where the most complete information about the nature of Lake Baikal is collected, there are 11 large aquariums with a unique water supply system.

Two separate combined aquariums contain seals.

After the tour, we go to the fish market, have dinner (at our own expense).

We recommend trying a hot smoked omul.

We return to Irkutsk, have a rest.

On this day, you can plan a vacation in the city or various excursions.

We offer you to make excursions of your choice (additional payment):

• along the Circum-Baikal railway (duration about 13-14 hours) is a unique monument of engineering art, attractions of the Baikal region;
• boat trip to Sandy Bay;
• There are healing and hot springs in the Tunka Valley, the Bolshoy Vostochny Sayan mountain range.

The end of the excursions is at 22-23 hours.
