Arrival in Ivanovo before 11:30. Meeting with a guide at the railway station in Ivanovo.
Sightseeing tour of Ivanovo.
Buildings of different eras and styles are intricately combined in Ivanovo, merging into a single unique ensemble. Here, ancient restored temples with golden domes are juxtaposed with modern buildings and wooden houses with carved architraves.
Ivanovo was called "Russian Manchester" and "the city of cotton kings", so we will be able to see the buildings of former manufactories and the mansions of famous manufacturers.
We will admire the monuments of Soviet constructivism – the "Ship House" and the "Horseshoe House", stroll along Volzhsky Boulevard, Theater and Revolutionary Squares, appreciating the beauty of temples, monuments and squares.
Visit to the St. Vvedensky Convent, which was formed at the Vvedenskaya Parish Church, built in the neo-Russian style at the beginning of the last century.
The monastery itself is young (1990), but the restored church and the surrounding buildings create a surprisingly harmonious, unified ensemble that perfectly fits into the central part of the city.
Check-in at the hotel.
Lunch (extra charge).
Visit to the Ivanovo Chintz Museum, located in the ancestral home of Dmitry Gennadyevich Burylin, a famous manufacturer, philanthropist and collector.
The museum's exposition is based on a unique textile collection representing Ivanovo calico as one of the types of decorative and applied art that preserves and develops the traditions of folk ornament.
If possible, visit the Museum of Industry and Art, which has unique collections of books, weapons, numismatics and porcelain.
In pre-revolutionary Russia, it was one of the best private museums and is still often referred to as the Ivanovo Hermitage.
