10:48 Meeting with a guide at the Ivanovo railway station at the loom. The sign "Holiday on the Volga".
Boarding the bus (free seating on the bus).
Sightseeing bus tour of the city of Ivanovo.
It is a city of unique metaphor houses, the most revolutionary history, the birthplace of Russia's "main" fashion designer Slava Zaitsev and the father of Russian chanson Arkady Severny, the youngest and most colorful city of the Golden Ring of Russia!
Russian Russian Brides", "Cotton paradise", "The heart of Russian textiles", even "Russian Manchester" – all these are the folk names of Ivanovo!
It is also the third most important center of the 1917 revolution after St. Petersburg and Moscow, and it is not for nothing that many bold and provocative monuments of Soviet urban architecture are concentrated here.
We will see a Ship House, a Bird House and a Bullet House, a two-colored church, the deceptively ancient Vvedensky Monastery, the famous Shchudrov tent of the 17th century, as well as the most unusual and even bold monument to Arkady Severny.
The architectural diversity of Ivanovo streets covers almost all styles – from Baroque to Art Nouveau.
Lunch at a cafe.
Visit to the D.G. Burylin State Museum of Local Lore, one of the best collection museums in Russia.
Its collection contains unique collections of "rarities and antiquities" with exceptional completeness and in the best samples, collected by its founder Dmitry Gennadyevich Burylin, a famous Ivanovo–Voznesensk philanthropist, collector, educator.
The Museum of Ivanovo Chintz is the youngest department of the IGIKM named after D.G. Burylin.
The museum's exposition is based on a unique textile collection of half a million items. The museum is located in the ancestral home of Dmitry Gennadyevich Burylin, built in the early 20th century in the Art Nouveau style (architect A.F. Snurilov).
In the courtyard of the mansion there are former outbuildings, where additional exhibition areas, as well as stock rooms and a library are located.
The main exposition of the museum is "Ivanovo textile. History and Modernity" tells about the development of production from ancient times to the present day.
The dominant idea of the exhibition is the display of Ivanovo chintzes, as one of the types of decorative and applied art that preserves and develops the traditions of folk ornament.
The samples of Ivanovo chintzes reveal a significant layer of folk art in the field of fabric decoration and allow us to trace the development of a special style – bright, elegant, decorative, inherent in Ivanovo fabrics.
Transfer to Kineshma, which is located on the banks of the Volga River.
The first mention of the city dates back to the 15th century. However, in the following centuries, Kineshma was, although large and rich, but a rural settlement (sloboda).
Kineshma received city status only in 1777 as part of Catherine's city reforms. In addition to the Volga trade, the city also developed its own textile industry.
