Sightseeing walking tour of Shuya, an old cozy Russian town above the Tezo River, famous since the beginning of the 16th century. Shuya is famous as the birthplace of the "elected tsar" Vasily Shuisky, merchant dynasties, and holy icons. The object of our pride, our history, was collected bit by bit here and is carefully preserved.
You will admire the beautifully preserved merchant buildings, stroll through the historical center of Shuya and visit the pearl of Shuya attractions – the grandiose Resurrection Cathedral!
The height of its bell tower is 106 meters, second only to the bell tower of the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg (120 m). It is also the tallest free-standing tower in Russia!
The cathedral itself houses the miraculous Shuisky Icon of the Smolensk Mother of God, which saved the city from pestilence in the 17th century.
During the New Year holidays, the city is transformed, dressed up in festive decorations.
The atmosphere of the old New Year celebrations reigns here: with bright illumination, roller coaster rides and a traditional fair. Tea will be served and gingerbread served in wooden pavilions. There are souvenirs, famous Shuya chintzes, soap and honey.

Rustic lunch from the oven is a unique taste of Slavic cuisine: Russian green cabbage soup, potatoes with herbs, homemade bacon, pickles, pastries and a rustic drink, cooked with a soul.
The taste and aroma of Russian rustic cabbage soup with green sauerkraut are incomparable. To prepare this dish, you need a cabbage soup – pickled lower leaves of white cabbage, chopped with carrots.
We cook our cabbage soup in a Russian oven according to our grandmothers' recipe. We will treat you to floral tea and homemade lamb rolls.
Remembering folk traditions, you will wear Russian cotton sundresses and men's shirts and be transported into the festive flavor of the holiday. We will sing drinking songs to the sonorous Shuya accordion, learn the village quadrille, and recall folk folklore – ditties that are not deservedly forgotten now. Come on, it'll be fun.
Departure to Palekh, where the tradition was not interrupted, but took on new forms, a place with a special cultural environment and an artistic community.
Thousands of tourists from all over the world rush to Palekh to see with their own eyes the masterpieces of miniature painting, which arose on the basis of the great art of icon painting.
Today you will have a unique opportunity to admire rare items and admire the masterpieces of Russian artists.
