It is one of the oldest industrial centers of the Upper Volga region. The city has retained its provincial charm and the atmosphere of a county merchant town. The first mention of the city dates back to the 15th century.

However, in the following centuries, Kineshma was, although large and rich, but a rural settlement (sloboda). Kineshma received city status only in 1777 as part of Catherine's city reforms. In addition to the Volga trade, the city also developed its own textile industry.

The most beautiful place is considered to be the Volga embankment, along which we will certainly take a walk.

Sightseeing walking tour of the historical city center with a visit to the Assumption Cathedral — "The charm of a provincial town".

During a fascinating walking tour of the city center along Volzhsky Boulevard, you will get acquainted with its history, take a walk through the places where the famous playwright A.N. Ostrovsky wrote the immortal play "Penniless". It was here in Kineshma in 1936 that the filming of the film of the same name took place.

Posadskaya Square, the Noble Assembly, the Red Shopping Malls, the Polenov-Tikhomirov house — they take you into the atmosphere of a merchant district town of the nineteenth century.

Visit to the private Valenok Museum.

"In order not to get sick in winter, you need to wear felt boots." Currently, the museum holds more than 200 exhibits, including antique woolen machines, tools for making felt boots, record-breaking boots, decorated felt boots, chess boots, various wool products, boots of unusual shapes, a collection of miniature felt boots and much more.

Lunch at the restaurant "Russian hut".

This is a cozy restaurant, decorated in the spirit of a peasant hut. The main elements of the interior are peasant household items collected in villages and villages of the former Kineshma district. It is located in the historical building of the Kineshma "tea sobriety", a monument of history and architecture of the late 19th century.

The building, "embedded" in the steep bank on Volzhsky Boulevard, is already a Kineshma landmark in itself, reflected in famous films: "Chinese Service", "The Ulyanov Family", "Yakov Sverdlov".

Lunch time: you will be treated to a unique dish "Kineshmi deep-fried pie" or "inside out soup" — a gastronomic brand of the city and the region (this is both the first and second course at the same time, served with broth).

Free time for walks along Volzhsky Boulevard and a boat trip along the Volga (for arrivals from May to September).

Transfer to Reshma village.

Russian Russian village, where a special incomparable spirit of Russian traditions, peace and quiet have been preserved to this day.

Reshma is located on the steep right bank of the Volga River. The view here offers the most beautiful views of the Volga and the Reshemka River.

Cape Lyubov is the highest viewpoint on the right bank of the Volga River in the Kineshma district. A cliff overgrown with a pine forest, offering an amazingly beautiful view of the bend of the Volga, along which merchant ploughs from the Varangians to the Greeks sailed long ago, steamboats with red goods sailed, and gloomy boatmen dragged barges. There are many legends, creepy and romantic stories associated with this place.

You will have an excursion to the ancient monastic monastery, founded according to legend by St. Macarius of Unzhensky and Zheltovodsk. They say that services used to be held here so solemnly that people from Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod came to listen to them.

Today, the life of the monastery has been revived, the temple is working. The nuns have laid out wonderful flower beds around. Visiting the monastery grounds is like visiting a small botanical garden.

Reshma has the purest air. Today, more than three and a half hundred Siberian cedars grow here. The grove is a specially protected natural area of local importance.

We will visit the Reshemka guest house. We will be greeted by the hostess, a generous, hospitable, good—natured, amazing woman. She will tell the story of the origin of dumplings.

Who doesn't love a delicious meal? Culinary team building can be the trigger when you turn from a simple consumer of food into a real gourmet.

The master class on modeling dumplings is author's. Participants in the program in white aprons arm themselves with rolling pins, roll out the dough and make amazingly beautiful dumplings. The program ends with dumplings and a rustic feast.

Our path will pass through the ancient village of Dunilovo.

Now Dunilovo firmly holds the status of the pearl of the Ivanovo region. In 1992, Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia visited Dunilovo. He was amazed by the abundance of temples and the beauty of the landscape and called Dunilovo "the pearl of the Russian land."

Dunilovo has clearly manifested itself in the national history. Russian Russians and Poles, Lithuanians and Russian rebels fought a battle here in 1609, which ended in the defeat of the latter. There is a memorial place in Dunilov in honor of those heroic events.

We will make a stop to admire the panoramas of the village.

Sightseeing tour of Shuya, an old cozy Russian town above the Teza River, famous since the beginning of the 16th century.

Shuya is famous as the birthplace of the "elected tsar" Vasily Shuisky, merchant dynasties, holy icons, the wonderfully beautiful Church of the Resurrection of Christ, where the list of the miraculous icon of the Shuisky — Smolensk Mother of God is kept, and the tallest "candle" bell tower in Russia.

Visit to the mansion of the manufacturer M.A. Pavlov.

It looks rather modest in appearance, but the decoration is not inferior to Italian palaces. Roman-Greek mosaics create incredible patterns, authentic flower pots from the garden with a classic image, Italian marble, casket rooms with painted fabrics.
