The history of the Dormition Convent of Dunilovo. The monastery was founded in the 16th century by F.I. Lopukhin, father-in-law of Peter I. The modest wooden monastery was lavishly rebuilt and equipped in the 19th century with the money of the Moscow merchant Karetnikova.
Now the monastery is in perfect condition, there is an exemplary Orthodox children's gymnasium on the territory, where 30 pupils study and receive education.
