Day 1 - Shuya, Vasilyevskoye village, cheese factory
10:25 Meeting with the guide in Shuya on the platform at the entrance to the station. The sign "Soul cozy corner".
Boarding the bus (there is free seating on the bus).
Sightseeing tour of Shuya — an ancient cozy Russian city above the river Teza, famous since the beginning of the XVI century.
Shuya is famous as the birthplace of the "elected tsar" Vasily Shuisky, merchant dynasties, holy icons, the wondrous beauty of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ and the tallest in Russia "candle" bell tower, whose height is 106 m.
And also Shuisky harmonicas, Shuisky chintz, Shuisky embroidery and Shuisky liqueurs were famous all over the country. The object of our pride, our history, was collected bit by bit here and is carefully preserved.

Transfer to Tsarskoye selo Vasilyevskoye.
The settlement is ancient, but it got its name not in honor of some landowner or a rich serf, but in honor of the tsar!
The history of the village is connected with the names of Vasily Shuisky, Counts Sheremetev, A.S. Pushkin, Tsar Alexander II, M.V.Frunze. The hallmark of the village is a church ensemble of 3 temples and a bell tower in the center of the village and the Assumption Church with a bell tower in the cemetery.
The construction dates back to the middle of the 18th and early 19th centuries. There have been 29 icons by Andrei Rublev in the Trinity Cathedral for 150 years!
Vasilyevites are happy to tell and show their small homeland to the guests in the museum of the history of the village. They will show a cozy Craft House, where canvases are still woven on a wooden loom, embroidered with beads and a cross, and patchwork souvenirs are sewn!
The masters will be happy to teach you a "fast" craft (master class).
Return to Shuya.
Visit to the Gagarin family's private cheese factory "Behind the glass"
Here they will tell you about the production of cheese, show you through the glass how it works.
Tasting of cheese factory products with tea, bagels and homemade jam in the tasting room. The tasting is accompanied by a story about each cheese variety, the history of cheese making, and interesting facts about cheese.
Here you can buy the products of local farmers: Shuisky berries, marbled catfish.

Day 2 - The villages of Vvedenie and Dunilovo, the cities of Privolzhsk and Ples
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
Transfer to the village of Vvedenie (5 km).
A visit to the Nikolo-Shartomsky monastery for men.
One of the oldest (XIII century) and most extensive monasteries of Shuisky district. It is a beautiful architectural complex of the XVIII century.
His appearance at this place was predetermined by one of the local peasants, who found an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker on the riverbank. On this occasion, a small temple was built here, which marked the beginning of the temple ensemble.

Departure to the village of Dunilovo.
Not far from Shuya, separated by the river Teza, there are two villages — Dunilovo and Goritsy, which have now become one. Their history is connected with the ancient history of Shuya, with the fate of the Shuisky and Lopukhin families.
The location at the crossroads of roads contributed to the development of trade and crafts, hundreds of merchants of the Pokrovskaya and Tikhonovskaya fairs once gathered here, beautiful temples and rich monasteries were laid here.
Dunilovo received the unofficial name "The Second Suzdal". Here, on a small patch of land, there are 11 temples and 2 monasteries.

Stop in Privolzhsk, the jewelry capital of the Ivanovo region. There are many jewelry shops at the famous local jewelry factory Krasnaya Presnya. Free time for shopping.
Moving to Ples.
In summer and spring, it is immersed in bright colors and attracts tourists with its landscapes. The city is closed to transport and we will walk around the city on foot.
A sightseeing tour of the city will allow you to see the Ples in all its glory: the high Cathedral Mountain, where the fortress walls have not stood for a long time — only century-old birch trees, the royal Assumption Cathedral, the bulbs of ancient churches and the Volga expanses stretching beyond the horizon. Small streets and the Volga embankment since the middle of the XX century, Volzhsky has attracted not only artists, but also cinematographers.
Many famous films were shot here, including "Two Captains", "Cruel Romance", "Chinese Service" and "Golden Calf".
In small cafes and eateries on the Volga embankment, you can try kuleyka and corners with bream.
A boat trip along the Volga River will give you the opportunity to admire the city from the water and breathe in the fresh Volga air (according to weather conditions, paid in the Ples).
Free time for lunch, walks along the Volga embankment and independent visits to museums.

Day 3 - Villages of Palekh, Kholui, master class and village of Ponkino
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Room release.
Transfer to the village of Palekh, which existed on the Nizhny Novgorod road since the XVII century, known as the center of the Paletsky principality belonging to the Princes of Palekh — the family of the princes of Starodubsky. A village where every tenth resident is an artist.
The golden Firebird serves as the symbol of the village, the amazing art of creating Palekh lacquer boxes has been living here for almost a hundred years.
Visit to the Holy Cross Church (XVII century), painted in 1807 by the Palekh icon painters. Professor of Art History A.V. Bakushinsky called these murals "the last great wall painting, completing the cycle of development of the ancient Russian religious painting tradition."
Moving to Kholui — the famous center of Russian lacquer miniature and icon painting.
Excursion to the Museum of Kholui Art: among the 5,000 items of storage, you can see not only the works of Kholui lacquer painting, but also household items, paintings, graphics, sculpture, samples of decorative and applied art (embroidery, lace weaving). Icons make up a significant part of the museum's collection.
A master class on painting lacquer miniatures, where you will discover the secrets of this art. Everyone will take their product with them.

Transfer to the village of Ponkino.
