A cozy corner of the soul: Ivanovo lands

The Volga beauty and the cozy atmosphere of ancient Russian settlements will greet you from the very beginning of your journey through the Ivanovo region, where you will be told the history of these places and will be given a nagging feeling of nostalgia.

You will see the place, the symbol of which was once the firebird, and the works of lackey lacquer painting, and visit the town, where embroidery, accordion, and liqueurs are a matter of national pride.

In addition, you can try to create something unusual with your own hands and, of course, admire the views of the Volga expanses.

Boarding the bus (free seating on the bus).

Moving to the village of Vvedenie is one of the most interesting villages in terms of history, richness of temple complexes and beauty can be attributed to one of the most prominent villages in the Ivanovo region.

It originated at the end of the 14th century at the intersection of the river and the old road from Kostroma to Vladimir.

Located in the village of Vvedenie, St. Nicholas-Shartomsky Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Russia.

The monastery in the Introduction was built in the style of the Byzantine-Russian architectural school. It is an ensemble of church buildings and structures.

Visit to the monastery and the monastery shop, where you can buy products from the monastery compound and local farmers.

The Shuisky Berries eco-farm is located near the village

Shuisky Berries eco—farm is engaged in the cultivation of various berry crops, such as strawberries, raspberries, honeysuckle, currants, gooseberries, produces natural berry desserts - jams, nectars, juices, marmalade, etc.

From June to September, we will be able to visit the eco-farm with an excursion. The rest of the time, we will be able to try berry products.

Departure to the village of Dunilovo.

Not far from Shuya, separated by the Teza River, there are two villages — Dunilovo and Goritsy, which have now become one.

Their history is connected with the ancient history of Shuya, with the fate of the Shuisky and Lopukhin families.

Dunilovo received the unofficial name "The Second Suzdal". Here, on a small patch of land, there are 11 temples and 2 monasteries.

Panorama of the village of Dunilovo.

The history of the Dormition Convent of Dunilovo. The monastery was founded in the 16th century by F.I. Lopukhin, father-in-law of Peter I. The modest wooden monastery was lavishly rebuilt and equipped in the 19th century with the money of the Moscow merchant Karetnikova.

Now the monastery is in perfect condition, there is an exemplary Orthodox children's gymnasium on the territory, where 30 pupils study and receive education.

    Lunch.

Sightseeing tour of Shuya, an old cozy Russian town above the Tezoi River, famous since the beginning of the 16th century.

Shuya is famous as the birthplace of the "elected tsar" Vasily Shuisky, merchant dynasties, holy icons, the wonderfully beautiful Church of the Resurrection of Christ and Russia's tallest "candle" bell tower, which is 106 m high.

And also the Shuisky accordion, Shuisky chintzes, Shuisky embroidery and Shuisky liqueurs were famous all over the country. The object of our pride, our history, was collected bit by bit here and is carefully preserved.

Visit to the Calico Pocket creative workshop
