Amber voyage in winter. A 6-day tour to the Kaliningrad region

09:00 Excursion "Secrets of the Baltic coast: from Amber to Baltiysk" (route: Baltiysk — village Amber).

What we'll see: Baltiysk: monuments to Peter I and Empress Elizabeth, the Swedish Pillau Fortress, a 200-year-old lighthouse, and the harbor where the fleet docks. Yantarny: preserved buildings of ancient houses, a water tower, Becker Park, a promenade, amber production.

On this exciting journey, we will discover the diversity of the Baltic Sea. Our route will start in Baltiysk (formerly Pillau), the westernmost outpost of the Navy.

Here we will be greeted by proud ships and majestic swans, as well as the Swedish Fortress, which became the prototype of the Peter and Paul Fortress.

We will find out what Peter I did under the name of Peter Mikhailov, and why the Pillau embankment was called "Russian" in the 17th century.

Next, we will find a cozy Amber (Palminiken), where 80% of the world's amber reserves are concentrated and where the Baltic surprises with its tranquility.

We will stroll through the narrow streets, enjoying the neat houses of the century before last. We will visit the amber production, where the masters will reveal their secrets.

We will end the day with a walk through the ancient Becker Park and the luxurious boardwalk.

The next stop is Zheleznodorozhny, one of the most picturesque settlements in the Kaliningrad region, founded in 1325 as Gerdauen Castle. The most photogenic point of the area.

The Gerdauen Church and the castle mill are waiting for you, as well as the entourage cafe-museum "Gramophone" and the lock of the Mazur Canal.

15:00 Excursion "From Neuhausen to Munchausen" (route: Guryevsk).

What we will see: areas of German villas in Guryevsk, Neuhausen Castle, Sveta Park.

We will start the trip with a sightseeing tour of Guryevsk, formerly known as Neuhausen. Let's take a walk through the areas with German villas of the 19th century, hear about the heroism of Soviet soldiers, and find out who the city is named after.

Next, we will visit the 13th century Neuhausen Castle. We will hear the fascinating story of its first owner, the Duchess of Prussia and her warlock, and also find out how Baron Munchausen got there.

The tour will end with an extravaganza of light in the largest Park of Light, which will leave unforgettable impressions and vivid photos.
