The Curonian Spit is a unique corner of nature, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. 

A narrow strip of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon.

Zelenogradsk. 

You will get acquainted with the oldest and most famous resort in East Prussia – Krantz (now the city of Zelenogradsk). 

During a walking tour of Zelenograd, you will see the unique ancient architecture of Krantz: boarding houses, hotels and private villas at the turn of the late XIX-XX centuries; St. Adalbert Lutheran Church, Queen Louise Square and the house where she stayed in 1807, and much more.

Baltiysk is a small, pretty city with a military accent, surrounded by bays and straits belonging to the water area The Baltic Sea. 

It boasts a long history and an advantageous strategic location that has attracted belligerent neighbors for centuries. You will learn the history of the formation of the fleet since its foundation by Peter I. 

You will see the lighthouse of the famous architect Schinkel, the reformatory church, which became an Orthodox church, and hear about the Swedish fortress, which was built in the middle of the XVII century and which is still an active military facility.

You will see the largest equestrian monument in our country to Empress Elizabeth Petrovna (2004). 

The pedestal of the monument is decorated in the form of a fort, from the observation deck of which you will see an extensive panorama overlooking the Baltic Spit, the sea Strait and the ships standing in the roadstead. 

Walking along the pier and the beach of the Baltic Sea, you will feel a real sea breeze on the westernmost point of Russia.

The program includes a visit to the enterprise, where you will be told about the extraction, processing of amber and the manufacture of jewelry with amber. 

You will also learn about the beneficial, healing properties of this stone. 

Amber is used in pharmaceuticals and in the production of medicinal amber cosmetics. 

In your free time, you can visit the quarry of the Kaliningrad Amber Combine, where amber mining is carried out in an open way, and where the path of stone from the earth to man begins. 

A visit to the quarry is offered on request, payment for tickets at the company's ticket office independently from 1300 rubles.

As part of the tour, there is time for purchases of amber products and souvenirs, because here in Yantarny is the main specialization of activity: stone mining and the manufacture of everything from amber!

We will also take a walk around Yantarny and get acquainted with its history. Previously, Amber was called Palmniken. 

The decoration of the place is the ancient Lutheran church of 1892 and the building of the Schloss Hotel in 1881, built as the home of the owner of the mining enterprise Moritz Becker, as well as an arboretum with century-old trees – a place where you can hide from the summer heat.

Transfer to Svetlogorsk.

Next, we will get acquainted with the sights of Svetlogorsk-Raushen. 

You will be fascinated by the ancient architecture of the resort of the late XIX- early XX centuries: private villas, boarding houses, hotels. 

Organ hall, larch park, water tower, Kurhaus, variety theater "Amber Hall". 

The symbols of Svetlogorsk are the beautiful works of the German sculptor G. Brachert – "Water Carrier" and "Nymph".

You will visit the charming town of Gvardeysk, which has preserved the main signs and flavor of the old town of Tapiau: the market square, the town hall with a musical clock, the XVIII century church and the typical urban development for these places. 

And the history of many cities here began with the foundation of the castle-fortress by the knights of the Teutonic Order in the Middle Ages. 

In the preserved part of the Tapiau Castle, which we will visit, you will be transported to the past, rich in vivid events and big names of the guests of the Tapiau fortress.  

In Tapiau, he met the end of the war in 1945. Soviet poet and war correspondent A.T.Tvardovsky, it is here that he will complete the poem "Vasily Terkin". 

You will see a monument to the beloved hero. 

The city is also known as the birthplace of the German artist Lovis Corinth, famous for his monumental paintings on mythological and religious themes. 

He is considered the last major portrait painter of Germany in the second half of the XIX – early XX century.
