16:30-17:00 Transfer to the Neuhausen Museum complex.
The German Crusader knights appeared here in 1255 and destroyed the powerful fortification of the Prussians ("Vurgval") that existed on the territory of present-day Guryevsk.
In 1262, a wooden fortress named Neuhausen was built on the base of large boulders left over from the fortification. Thirty years later, Bishop Christian von Muhlhausen ordered the construction of a residence here – a real knight's castle.
Throughout its history, it has been rebuilt many more times. The castle has preserved 13th-century basements to this day, and on the first and second floors there are beautiful Gothic ceilings with cross and star vaults.
The tour ends at 19:00 at the accommodation hotel.
