Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

    Place and time of the group meeting: at 19.00 in the guest house / hostel.

    Arrival of participants, accommodation in a guest house / hostel. 

    On this day, you can walk around the center of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on your own, go to the embankment, climb Nikolskaya Sopka, visit the Maksutov battery and other objects of the historical part of the city.

    At 19:00 meeting with the guide at the guest house / hostel, discussion of the program. 

    Lunch and dinner on this day on your own. 

    Overnight stay is included in the price of the tour.

    Car: 30 km.

    Walking distance: 1-5 km.

You need a fairly good physical shape and an idea of what a backpacking trip is (2 trips with a backpack with all equipment and food are supposed to be). 

The average weight of a backpack with public equipment and food for men is from 15 to 20 kg, for women — from 13 to 18 kg. The final weight will depend on the number of personal items. The weight of the public module is about 5 kg.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Equipment:

  • trekking poles;
  • elastic band seat (hob);
  • backpack 60-90 l;
  • backpack for radial outlets 15-20 l;
  • a cape for a backpack from the rain;
  • travel mat;
  • sleeping bag (comfort 0 ...-5).

Clothing and shoes:

  • trekking boots;
  • storm jacket and trousers (windproof, better waterproof and windproof);
  • The raincoat is good;
  • insulated jacket (puffer jacket);
  • panama hat, fleece hat, cotton gloves;
  • insulated jacket (fleece);
  • trekking socks (2-3 pairs, synthetic) + warm socks;
  • 1-2 T-shirts;

  • personal first aid kit, in case of chronic diseases (the instructor will have a public first aid kit with a standard set of medicines) + elastic bandage, sterile bandage - 2 pcs., hydrogen peroxide, a wide tissue-based roll patch;
  • personal hygiene products (toothpaste, brush, soap, lipstick, toilet paper, accessories for girls, etc.);
  • thermos flask (0.5 -1 liter);
  • pocket snack for the active part of the route (nuts, dried fruits, bars);
  • sunglasses that do not pass ultraviolet light;
  • flashlight (headlamp) + battery pack;
  • mosquito repellent cream/spray;
  • 1 l water bottle;
  • whistle (to indicate presence on the spot, in order to avoid bear attacks);
  • a set of threads with a needle;
  • a camera (video camera).
