Day 1 - Arrival in Kamchatka, acquaintance with the tour leader and the group

Accommodation in a 5* spa hotel located in the rural resort area of Paratunka.

Day 2 - The Mutnovsky volcano area — a trip to the "Small Valley of Geysers" (Summer thermal springs) and the Calm waterfall
We will start our route with the home volcanoes of the southern group. The giants surrounding the city, which can be viewed from almost anywhere in Kamchatka, are called home volcanoes.

07:30 Departure through the Vilyuchinsky pass, the plateau of the Gorely volcano, to the Mutnovsky volcano area by a KAMAZ off-road vehicle.
Stop at the Vilyuchinsky pass, which offers a magnificent panorama of the neighboring volcanoes – Vilyuchinsky and Gorely.
The purpose of our trip today will be the Country springs, an active geo—thermal plateau.

Easy trekking with small ascents and descents to the valley of Summer springs (about 2 km in one direction). A walk among various thermal phenomena that will be practically under our feet in maximum proximity — boiling boilers, hot springs, large and small steam-gas jets, small waterfalls.
Red-hot steam roars right out of the ground, enveloping the yellow-red stones and the green slopes of the valley. Everything is hissing, whistling, bubbling. There are also bubbling gray puddles with viscous boiling water, fountains of hot springs, tunnels.
The country springs are called the Small Valley of Geysers, but there are no real geysers here — not boiling water, but hot gas that heats the water on the surface, imitating a geyser.
Let's move on to the new core that emerged in 2024, creating a new landscape.
Return to the car, in a quiet place in the valley of the stream, we will have a picnic lunch: lunch box, hot tea.
On the way back, we will stop and walk (about 500-700 m) to another picturesque location — a 16-meter waterfall on the Calm Stream, which is called the "Snow Leopard".
In the afternoon, return to the spa hotel.

Day 3 - Climbing the Gorely volcano. Caves of Gorely volcano

Ascent to Gorely volcano (1829 m, 4 km, ascent takes 1.5-2 hours).

Guides ensure the safety of the route, a comfortable pace of ascent, and, if necessary, accompany down those participants who have not mastered the ascent completely.
Gorely volcano is located 75 km southwest of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and is unlikely to attract anyone's attention, but it is not for nothing that this "humble gentleman" is a natural monument. After all, it has a whole "collection" of craters, each of which has its own characteristics, and they all create a unique ensemble.
In ancient times, it was a volcano of enormous size — 20-25 km, after the strongest eruption, it completely collapsed, forming a caldera about 12 km, from which modern Gorely grew.

Day 4 - Boat trip to Russian Bay
Early check-out (06:00-06:40).
07:00-08:00 Sailing on a motor yacht.
On our boat trips, we use the most comfortable yachts available in Kamchatka. Yachts are 16-18 meters long, equipped with everything necessary for a safe and comfortable trip. Spectacular photos can be taken at the bow and stern and you can enjoy the sea breeze and views, and there is plenty of room for lunch and relaxation in the warm and cozy cabin with upholstered furniture. Sea fishing gear is provided.
It is known that Avacha Bay is the largest in the world. It's impossible not to fall in love with her at first sight!
After leaving, guests will be offered breakfast on board the yacht.
Along the way, we will visit the Three Brothers rocks, the "calling card" of the city, Tikhaya Bay, Grotovaya Bay, Starichkov Island, Vilyuchinskaya Bay, Cape Kekurny, Tikhaya Bay and Russian Bay.

Day 5 - Moving to the north of Kamchatka to the area of the Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes

The Klyuchevskaya group consists of 14 active and extinct volcanoes, including the famous Klyuchevskaya Sopka, Shiveluch, Bezymyanny, Tolbachik, etc. This is the largest group of volcanoes in Russia.
To get to these unique places, we will have to drive through almost half of Kamchatka, we will spend today on the road, but believe me, it's worth it!

Day 6 - Northern breakthrough of the 1975 eruption, Zvezda crater, lava caves

08:00 We leave for the "lunar" landscapes on Tolbachinsky Valley (about 4 hours along the forest road). The road passes through a coniferous forest, we will make several stops in picturesque places for photos.

Tolbachik is an amazing and powerful place in its energy!
In 1975-1976, a catastrophic eruption occurred here — the largest in the 20th century, the Great Fractured Tolbachinsky Eruption (BTTI). For a year and a half, an incomparable and grandiose element raged. Millions of tons of ash and slag erupted from the cracks and covered all living things around for many tens of kilometers.
Climb to one of the cones of the Northern breakthrough — Gorshkov cone (about 300 m, 30-40 minutes), which offers a fascinating view of the aftermath of the strong eruption of 1975. The cone is still hot — we will feel its warmth under our feet!
Lunch — snack, hot tea.
Guided tour of the lava caves in Zvezda crater (1-1.5 hours). We will have the opportunity to descend into the frozen lava duct, through which a red-hot river of volcanic lava once flowed.

Day 7 - Plosky Tolbachik volcano (elevation up to 2000 m). New fractured eruption of 2012 "Dead Forest"

The briefing. Ascent to the slope of Plosky Tolbachik volcano up to 1800-2000 m (about 3 hours).
Climbing to this height is enough not to waste unnecessary energy and enjoy the panorama of the entire Tolbachinsky Valley, plowed by huge streams of already frozen lava and covered with a huge layer of slag for tens of kilometers around.
Fractured eruptions are characterized by the outpouring of large amounts of lava. They are also called "tourist" eruptions, due to the relative safety and photogenicity of flowing lava rivers. This was the case in 2012: huge lava flows swept through the valley, filling up two scientific and tourist bases, streams with drinking water, roads and a nearby forest.
A walk through the frozen lava flow from the last eruption. Let's take a look into the lava caves with arches up to 12 m.

Moving to the "Dead Forest", destroyed by the eruption of the 70s.
The once rich pastures and all vegetation within a radius of several kilometers were destroyed. These places have received the gloomy name "Dead Forest", where the dried-up treetops are visible from under a 7-meter layer of slag.
The stop is near the place where the fragment of the crashed helicopter lies, making this place even more dramatic.
Return to the camp in the evening. Dinner, rest.

Day 8 - Transfer to Malki village

Transfer to Malki village (430 km).
After crossing the forest road (about 4 hours), we will stop for a snack and tea and continue on our way.
Lunch at a cafe in the village of Milkovo (at your own expense).
In the evening, arrival in Malki village.
Accommodation in a private guest house "Goryachy Klyuch" with its own thermal pool.
This is the second transit point on the route. Civilization is still far away, but there is an opportunity to soak in the pool and clean up after a tent life and a tiring road!
The house has 2-bed rooms, a cottage with 3 or 4-bed rooms, bathrooms, a dining room and a swimming pool, single occupancy is not provided.

Day 9 - Rafting on the Bystraya River. River fishing. Gastroobed

Access to the Bystrica River to the starting point of the rafting.
The Bystrica River is located in the central part of the peninsula. It is the second longest river in Kamchatka.
In this fascinating journey, we will take a part of the river on rafts, among picturesque places. Along the way, you can go fishing, pick mushrooms and berries, watch wild ducks, and if you're lucky, see a bear or a white-winged eagle.
Briefing, equipment, and the beginning of rafting on inflatable 16-foot rafts.
Guests are provided with life jackets, rubber boots, fishing gear for each participant (spinning, 3 spinners).
Experienced guides, operating rafts, talk about the peculiarities of local fishing and teach beginners fishing craft. The entire route runs outside populated areas, among the wild.
The spawning river is a place of attraction for the brown bear. There is a possibility that we will see bears during the rafting.
The rafting time takes 3-3.5 hours on one of the sections of the Bystrica River from 153 km to the village of Malki. The length of the rafting is from 9 to 12 km.
During the rafting, guests can go fishing and admire the picturesque scenery.
At the end of the rafting, the group is met by our car, transfer to the fishing base (about 10 minutes).
A delicious lunch of traditional Kamchatka cuisine awaits us at the fishing base: welcome liqueur from Kamchatka berries, ear from fresh fish, salads and snacks from local wild plants.
There will also be time for relaxation.

Day 10 - Avacha volcano (climbing the Camel mountain extrusion). A trip to the "Black Beach"

The fire—breathing guardian of the city is Avacha volcano, one of the most active in Kamchatka. The life of the volcano does not stop for a day: constantly puffing fumaroles, yellow sulfur, clouds of gas and steam.
The Avacha volcano arose several tens of thousands of years ago, and its regular cone was significantly higher than the Koryak volcano. But gigantic catastrophic explosions tore off its upper part and formed a caldera with a diameter of almost 4 km.
About 5,000 years ago, a new cone began to rise from the bottom of the caldera. The absolute height of the modern cone is 2751 m, the relative height is 400-1000 m. The peak is crowned with a crater. During the last eruption in 1991, the crater crater was almost completely filled with lava.

The Paratunka resort area is located 50 km from Petropavlovsk and Yelizovo. Regular buses run between these points throughout the day. All hotels in Paratunka have hot thermal pools in the open air, which have healing properties. Lunch is served at the hotel's restaurant, and breakfast and dinner are included in the room rate. There are small kebab shops nearby. Grocery stores must be visited on the way from the tour.

The last two nights of the tour are provided in the city so that guests can visit local restaurants and shops in the evening.

There are two buildings on the well-maintained territory, where there are rooms of various categories. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay: comfortable beds, a private bathroom, a mini fridge, and a balcony with a beautiful view of the surrounding forest.

Meals can be arranged in a cafe or use the mangalas in a specially designated area.

Guests should pay attention to the preparation of personal equipment (clothing and shoes), as large sections of the climbing routes to the craters of volcanoes, passes and volcanic plateaus may remain snowfields throughout the summer period and, in case of prolonged bad weather, the air temperature at altitudes above 1000 m may decrease.

Everything went smoothly, like clockwork—we were well-fed, comfortably accommodated, and everything was organized perfectly. The only downside was the weather. A cyclone hit us, but we managed to visit everywhere, even in the rain, though it made taking photos a challenge. The fog was as thick as milk and rolled in almost instantly. Everyone did an amazing job. Thank you all!

The trip was exceptionally well-organized, with every detail executed to perfection. The program was followed in full, and the transfers were arranged precisely on schedule. The guides were outstanding. During the hikes, the routes were tailored to suit the preferences of the group. With multiple guides, we had the flexibility to move at different paces and split into smaller subgroups. At the airport, we were greeted in a comfortable SUV. On the return journey, we made a stop at the market and the monument featuring the bear. There was plenty of time for shopping and taking photos.
