We will start our route with the home volcanoes of the southern group. Domestic volcanoes in Kamchatka are called giants surrounding the city, which can be viewed from almost anywhere in it.
Breakfast.
Departure to the Mutnovsky volcano (about 100 km) by a KAMAZ all-terrain vehicle. Travel along a dirt road through the Vilyuchinsky pass.
Stop at the Vilyuchinsky pass, which offers a magnificent panorama of the neighboring volcanoes – Vilyuchinsky and Gorely.
11:30* Arrival at the starting point of the hiking route.
The briefing. Ascent along the slope of the Mutnovsky volcano to the edge of the crater (the height of the volcano is 2323 m, ascent to about 2000 m, about 2 hours). The trail passes through a snowfield that does not melt even in summer.
From the edge of the volcano, we will see a panorama of the Severo-Mutnovsky glacier, a landslide and a new lake, an active fumarole field with bubbling mud boilers and soaring fumaroles.
In clear weather, there is a view of the neighboring volcanoes of the South Kamchatka group: Vilyuchinsky, Gorely, Khodutka, Opala.
We will spend about an hour here and start the descent back.
Return to the foot, inspect the powerful 80-meter waterfall in the ravine of the Dangerous Canyon.
Lunch – lunch box, hot tea.
In the evening, return to the SPA hotel. Dinner, rest.
At the guests' disposal: thermal pools, SPA complex with care programs, 2 restaurants, bar.
In case the route to Mutnovsky volcano is closed by the administration of the natural park, due to landslides on the existing trail and increased activity of the volcano, an alternative route will be conducted: Dangerous Canyon, geothermal valley of Summer springs, Calm Waterfall.
Meals: breakfast included, at the hotel, lunch included, on excursions, dinner at the hotel (buffet).
Overnight stay: Sputnik 3* SPA Hotel (Paratunka village).
