Itinerary

Day 1 - Moving to the area of the Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes
Meeting with the group in the morning:
07:00 in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky;
08:00 in the village of Paratunka;
08:30 in Yelizovo.
The exact time and place of departure will be announced by the tour leader of the group on the eve of departure.
A tour leader is an experienced guide and group leader. Accompanies you throughout the entire route, from the first day to the day of departure, solves all current organizational issues. If you have any questions during the tour, please contact him.
Loading into a car (passenger "shift" KAMAZ) and departure to the area of the Klyuchevskaya volcano group (about 500 km).
The Klyuchevskaya group consists of 14 active and extinct volcanoes, including the famous Klyuchevskaya Sopka, Shiveluch, Bezymyanny, Tolbachik, etc. This is the largest group of volcanoes in Russia.
To get to these unique places, we will have to drive through almost half of Kamchatka, we will spend today on the road, but believe me, it's worth it!
On the way, lunch at a cafe in the village of Milkovo (at your own expense).
Crossing the bridge over the largest river of the peninsula – Kamchatka.
In the evening around 18:00 arrival in Kozyrevsk.
Accommodation in guest houses for 2 people, single occupancy is not provided – the last civilization is 500 km away, wildlife is ahead and this is the first transit point of the route, from here tomorrow morning our journey through the Klyuchevsky Nature Park will begin.
The hospitable hosts will prepare a sauna for us to relax after the trip.
Dinner is a hot meal prepared by field chefs.

Day 2 - Northern breakthrough of the 1975 eruption, Zvezda crater, lava caves
07:00 Breakfast at the guest house.
08:00 We leave for the "lunar" landscapes on Tolbachinsky Valley (about 4 hours along the forest road). The road passes through a coniferous forest, we will make several stops in picturesque places for photos.
The briefing. Guided tour of the cones of the Northern Breakthrough (2 hours).
Tolbachik is an amazing and powerful place in its energy!
In 1975-1976, a catastrophic eruption occurred here – the largest in the 20th century, the Great Fractured Tolbachinsky Eruption (BTTI).
For a year and a half, an incomparable and grandiose element raged. Millions of tons of ash and slag erupted from the cracks and covered all living things around for many tens of kilometers.
Climb to one of the cones of the Northern breakthrough – Gorshkov cone (about 300 m, 30-40 minutes), which offers a fascinating view of the aftermath of the strong eruption of 1975. The cone is still hot – we will feel its warmth under our feet!
Lunch – snack, hot tea.
Guided tour of the lava caves in Zvezda crater (1-1.5 hours). We will have the opportunity to go down inside the frozen lava duct, through which a red-hot river of volcanic lava once flowed.
Installation of a tent camp in the "dead forest" area.
Dinner – hot meals, camping kitchen.
Camping romance – relaxing by the campfire, the first night surrounded by volcanoes!
We hope for a clear sky to watch the stars under the crackle of burning wood and the smell of wild rose tea boiling on the fire.

Day 3 - Plosky Tolbachik volcano (elevation up to 2000 m) – New fractured eruption in 2012 – "Dead Forest"

The entrance to the Kleshnya hill – from here begins the path through the new lava flows of the 2012-2013 eruption.
The briefing. Ascent to the slope of Plosky Tolbachik volcano up to 1800-2000 m (about 3 hours). Climbing to this height is enough not to waste unnecessary energy and enjoy the panorama of the entire Tolbachinsky Valley, plowed by huge streams of already frozen lava and covered with a huge layer of slag for tens of kilometers around.
Fractured eruptions are characterized by the outpouring of large amounts of lava.
They are also called "tourist" eruptions, due to the relative safety and photogenicity of flowing lava rivers.
This was the case in 2012: huge lava flows swept through the valley, filling up two scientific and tourist bases, streams with drinking water, roads and a nearby forest.
A walk through the frozen lava flow from the last eruption. Let's take a look into the lava caves with arches up to 12 m.
Lunch – snack, hot tea.
Moving to the "Dead Forest", destroyed by the eruption of the 70s.
The once rich pastures and all vegetation within a radius of several kilometers were destroyed. These places have received the gloomy name "Dead Forest", where the dried-up treetops are visible from under a 7-meter layer of slag.
The stop is near the place where the fragment of the crashed helicopter lies, making this place even more dramatic.
Return to the camp in the evening. Dinner, rest.
Meals: includes breakfast, lunch, dinner (camp kitchen).
Overnight stay: Tolbachinsky valley: tent camp.
Distances and duration: road: 30 km, 1.5-2 hours; walking: 8-10 km, 5-6 hours.
Day 4 - Transfer to Malki village
Early breakfast. Gathering of the camp.
Transfer to Malki village (430 km).
After crossing the forest road (about 4 hours), we will stop for a snack and tea and continue on our way.
Lunch at a cafe in the village of Milkovo (at your own expense).
In the evening, arrival in Malki village.
Accommodation in a private guest house "Goryachy Klyuch" with its own thermal pool.
This is the second transit point on the route. Civilization is still far away, but there is an opportunity to soak in the pool and clean up after a tent life and a tiring road!
The house has 2-bed rooms, a cottage with 3 or 4-bed rooms, bathrooms, a dining room and a swimming pool, single occupancy is not provided.
Relaxing, swimming in the thermal water pool. Supper.
If desired, you can walk to the wild thermal springs and swim in their healing mineral waters.
Meals: includes breakfast, dinner (camp kitchen), lunch in a cafe at your own expense.
Overnight stay: Malki village: Goryachy Klyuch Guest House.
Distances and duration: road: 438 km, 10 hours.
Day 5 - Rafting on the Bystraya River. River fishing. Gastroobed
Breakfast at the guest house.
Access to the Bystrica River to the starting point of the rafting.
The Bystrica River is located in the central part of the peninsula. It is the second longest river in Kamchatka.
In this fascinating journey, we will take a part of the river on rafts among the picturesque places. Along the way, you can go fishing, pick mushrooms and berries, watch wild ducks, and if you're lucky, see a bear or a white-winged eagle.

Guests are provided with life jackets, rubber boots, fishing gear for each participant (spinning, 3 spinners).
The Malkinskaya Bystrica River is a typical mountain river, has three simple rapids (of the 2nd category of difficulty in the middle reaches), flows among picturesque wooded mountains, and among islands in the lower reaches.
Experienced guides, operating rafts, talk about the peculiarities of local fishing and teach beginners fishing craft. The entire route runs outside populated areas, among the wilderness.
The fish River is a place of attraction for the brown bear. There is a possibility that we will see bears during the rafting.
The rafting time takes 3-3.5 hours on one of the sections of the Bystrica River from 153 km to the village of Malki. The length of the rafting is from 9 to 12 km.
During the rafting, guests can go fishing and admire the picturesque scenery.
At the end of the rafting, the group is met by our car, transfer to the fishing base (about 10 minutes).
A delicious lunch of traditional Kamchatka cuisine awaits us at the fishing base: welcome liqueur from Kamchatka berries, ear from fresh fish, salads and snacks from local wild plants.
There will also be time for relaxation.
Departure to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Return in the evening around 18:00 hours.

Distances and duration: road: 150 km, 4 hours; rafting: 9-12 km, 3-3.5 hours.

Tourists should pay attention to the preparation of personal equipment (clothing and shoes), as snowfields may persist on large sections of climbing routes to volcanic craters, passes and volcanic plateaus throughout the summer period and, in case of prolonged bad weather, the air temperature at altitudes above 1000 m may decrease.

Everything went smoothly, like clockwork—we were well-fed, comfortably accommodated, and everything was organized perfectly. The only downside was the weather. A cyclone hit us, but we managed to visit everywhere, even in the rain, though it made taking photos a challenge. The fog was as thick as milk and rolled in almost instantly. Everyone did an amazing job. Thank you all!

The trip was exceptionally well-organized, with every detail executed to perfection. The program was followed in full, and the transfers were arranged precisely on schedule. The guides were outstanding. During the hikes, the routes were tailored to suit the preferences of the group. With multiple guides, we had the flexibility to move at different paces and split into smaller subgroups. At the airport, we were greeted in a comfortable SUV. On the return journey, we made a stop at the market and the monument featuring the bear. There was plenty of time for shopping and taking photos.
