Kamchatka in June

Early in the morning we set off on a 6-hour sea excursion "In search of marine animals" on a comfortable yacht.

During this trip you will see Kamchatka from the sea, with a high probability you will be able to observe marine animals: killer whales, whales, seals, sea otters, seals.

There will definitely be sea fishing, seafood meals, including crabs.

After the boat trip, we go to Khalaktyrsky beach, where huge waves of the open Pacific Ocean are waiting for us, the black sand of an infinitely long beach, where the feeling that you are on the edge of the earth, where Russia begins, does not leave.

The water in the ocean is not warm, but you can always wet your feet, but the bravest can swim.

We return to the hotel in the evening.

Dinner is on your own at your own expense.

Attention! If you know that you may get motion sickness at sea (or in transport), then purchase motion sickness remedies in advance (for example, Dramin) and take them according to the instructions before starting a boat trip.

Meals included: breakfast on the yacht, seafood lunch.

We move to the Bystrica River and start rafting.

The river is quite calm, the rafting is not sporty and can be done by everyone, including children.

Those who wish can go fishing.

We have a picnic on the riverbank and cook salmon soup.

After rafting, we stop at the Malkin hot springs, where those who wish can swim.

In the evening, we move to the sanatorium-resort area of Paratunka, where we stay in a hotel with a thermal water pool.

In the morning we leave for one of the most beautiful places of Kamchatka's pristine nature — Vachkazhets, which is the highest peak of the Yuzhno-Bystrinsky ridge.

Vachkazhets is a mountain range and at the same time an ancient extinct volcano, its main peak is 1,576 m high.

Hiking trails here lead not to the peaks, but to waterfalls and mountain circuses.

The route is not difficult and gives you the opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful views of the mountain lake and towering sharp peaks.

The landscape of Vachkazhets is noticeably different from the areas of active volcanism, it itself resembles rather the Swiss Alps.

There are many subalpine flowers on its slopes.

In total, you will have to walk about 13 km over rough terrain with a height difference of about 300 meters.

We are going to the area of volcanoes.

The road passes by the Vilyuchinsky volcano, at the foot of which there is a 40-meter waterfall of the same name.

We will stop in front of the waterfall and make a mini-ascent to Vilyuchinsky waterfall (the way to the waterfall takes about 1 hour).

Further along the steep serpentine, the road will take us to the Vilyuchinsky pass, from where impressive views open.

Despite the fact that the summer season has already begun, it is still spring on the volcanic plateau in June, and the snow is still melting, so we will travel beyond the pass on snowmobiles with sleds.

After descending from the pass to the mountain plateau, we check into the Vulkan tourist shelter, located near the lake in a picturesque location (several people per room, sleeping in sleeping bags on bunk beds).

We are going to the northern foot of the Mutnovsky volcano, where there is a geothermal power plant and Country hot springs, which are also called the small valley of geysers.

Among the huge snowdrifts, we will see green thawed patches of floating earth, where fountains of steam-gas jets are beating, water and mud boilers are bubbling.

Along the way, we will also observe volcanoes and many snow-white hills.

There will be an opportunity to swim in the hot springs.

Walking about 4 km over rough terrain.

We return to the Vulkan tourist shelter for the night.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner.

After breakfast we will go to Gorely volcano.

Climbing the volcano usually takes 2-3 hours (the height difference is about 800 meters), but probably a snowmobile will be able to drive over the shoulder of the volcano, greatly reducing our walking distance.

Gorely volcano has several craters, but in June the Cup crater is the most interesting, as there is a blue lake in it at this time of the year.

We return to the tourist shelter for lunch, after which we move to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, check into a hotel.

Dinner on your own that day.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch (snack and/or hot lunch, depending on circumstances).

The day of the flight home.

We visit the fish market, souvenir shop and drive to the airport.

Lunch on your own, if necessary, at your own expense.

Transfer to the airport with arrival at the fish market:

• departure is approximately at 8:45 a.m. – for flights 5250 and 1731;
• Departure is approximately at 11:45 a.m. for flights 1735 and 1739.

The exact time of the transfer is announced by the guide the day before. Those departing at other times can join these transfers. The cancellation of the transfer is not compensated.
