Kamchatka tour to Tolbachik volcano

Kamchatka tour to the Tolbachik volcano and the Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes to the Volcanoes of Kamchatka Natural Park (volcanoes Ushkovsky, Kamen, Klyuchevskoy, Bezymyanny, Bolshaya Udina, Ostroy and Flat Tolbachik) is another active tour from our piggy bank.

The tour is for beginners and continuing tourists who do not like to carry a backpack for a long time, but like to wander through wild places.

The tour route is very interesting — we will examine the consequences of the largest volcanic eruption in the 20th century — in 1975, the Tolbachik volcano erupted, its area was more than 800 square kilometers!

Several decades have passed since then, but there are still indelible traces on the body of the Earth.

Tour organizer's comments

The tour is of medium difficulty. This program is a great option for novice tourists who want to test themselves and their strength. All walks are done light.

Nevertheless, you will have to walk from 6 to 15 km per day with an altitude of 25-750 m.

The group will climb the Plosky Tolbachik volcano (3140 m). The ascent will take 5-8 hours, the climb is 1800 m. At an altitude of more than 2500 m, physical ailments and manifestations of altitude sickness are possible (dizziness, shortness of breath, a slight rise in temperature, nausea). If it will be difficult for you to walk through lava fields and cones, then we strongly recommend not climbing Tolbachik!

Potentially dangerous animals include bears and wolverines. The guide will tell the participants about the rules of behavior when meeting bears, and wolverines do not show up in tourist places near cars, usually feed on carrion and do not show interest in humans. There are no ticks and snakes in Kamchatka.
