Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kamchatka – acquaintance with the guide and the group
Arrival in Kamchatka. Getting to know a tour leader, a group.
Meeting at Yelizovo airport. Group transfer to the hotel.
Accommodation in a SPA hotel in the thermal resort area of Paratunka (check-in in rooms from 14:00).
Free time for rest and acclimatization.
Today we will have the opportunity to relax in the SPA complex, swim in the outdoor thermal pool, and have dinner at one of the hotel's restaurants.
Dinner at the hotel in the evening.
Meeting of the group with the tour leader: acquaintance, discussion of the details of the tour. A tour leader is an experienced guide and group leader. Accompanies you throughout the entire route, from the first day to the day of departure, solves all current organizational issues. For all questions during the tour, you can contact him.

Day 2 - Climbing the Mutnovsky volcano
Breakfast.
Departure to the Mutnovsky volcano (about 100 km) by a KAMAZ all-terrain vehicle. Travel on a dirt road through the Vilyuchinsky pass.
11:30 Arrival at the starting point of the route.
The briefing.
Ascent along the slope of the Mutnovsky volcano to the edge of the crater (the height of the volcano is 2,323 m, ascent to about 2,000 m, about 2 hours).
The trail passes through a snowfield that does not melt even in summer.
From the edge of the volcano, we will see a panorama of the Severo-Mutnovsky glacier, a landslide and a new lake, an active fumarole field with bubbling mud boilers and soaring fumaroles.
In clear weather, there is a view of the neighboring volcanoes of the South Kamchatka group: Vilyuchinsky, Gorely, Khodutka, Opala.
We will spend about an hour here and start the descent back.
Return to the foot, inspect the powerful 80-meter waterfall in the ravine of the Dangerous Canyon.
Lunch – snack, hot tea.
Return to the camp.
Supper.
Evening rest by the campfire: in the evenings, we will make a bonfire, brew authentic Kamchatka tea, chat, share impressions and interesting stories.

Day 3 - Climbing Gorely volcano
Breakfast.
Departure to Gorely volcano by a KAMAZ all-terrain vehicle.
Access to the starting point of the route.

Ascent to Gorely volcano (1,829 m, ascent takes 3-5 hours).
Lunch – lunch box, hot tea.
Visit and inspection of caves in the area of Gorely volcano.
On the way back, lunch at a glamping on the Vilyuchinsky pass with stunning views of the volcanoes of the South Kamchatka group.
Return to the SPA hotel. Rest, dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 - Free day or additional excursion

An excursion with a flyby of the active crater of the Karymsky and Maly Semyachik volcanoes.
Hiking to geysers and mud pots.
On the way back, landing in the Nalychevskaya valley – lunch, swimming in hot springs.
Helicopter tours - as part of a team group of up to 24 people.
You must apply for the tour in advance.
On this tour, guests are provided with guaranteed places for helicopter excursions, according to the schedule, subject to flight weather on all sections of the route.

Day 5 - Moving to the area of the Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes
Breakfast.
Check out of the hotel with your belongings (extra items can be stored).
8:00 Loading into the car (passenger "shift shift" KAMAZ) and departure to the area of the Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes (about 500 km).
The Klyuchevskaya group consists of 14 active and extinct volcanoes, including the famous Klyuchevskaya Sopka, Shiveluch, Bezymyanny, Tolbachik, etc. This is the largest group of volcanoes in Russia.
On the way, lunch at a cafe in the village of Milkovo (at your own expense).
Crossing the bridge over the largest river of the peninsula – Kamchatka.
18:00 arrival in Kozyrevsk.
Accommodation in guest houses for 2-4 people, single occupancy is not provided – the last civilization remained 500 km away from us, wildlife is ahead and this is the first transit point of the route, from here tomorrow morning our journey through the Klyuchevsky Nature Park will begin.
Supper.
Bathhouse.

Day 6 - Northern breakthrough of the 1975 eruption – Zvezda crater – lava caves
Breakfast.
Transfer to Tolbachinsky Valley (about 4 hours by forest road).
The briefing. Tour of the cones of the Northern Breakthrough (2 hours).
In 1975-1976, a catastrophic eruption occurred here – the largest in the XX century Large Fractured Tolbachin eruption (BTTI). For a year and a half, an incomparable and grandiose element raged. Millions of tons of ash and slag burst out of the cracks and covered all living things around for many tens of kilometers.
Ascent to one of the cones of the Northern Breakthrough – Gorshkov cone (about 300 m, 30-40 minutes), which offers a fascinating view of the consequences of the strong eruption of 1975.
Lunch – snack, hot tea.
Excursion in the Zvezda crater through the lava caves (1 -1.5 hours).
We will have the opportunity to go down into the frozen lava duct, through which a red-hot river of volcanic lava once flowed.
The installation of a tent camp in the area of the "dead forest".
Tent camp: in the camp we will have 2-bed tents (separate tents are provided for single guests, there are 3-4-bed tents for families), a tent-kitchen, a large tent-dining room where we will eat, and in the evenings we will chat over a mug of tea or coffee from Turki. Crockery, camping furniture, a rug is provided. You can not take a warm sleeping bag and trekking poles with you, but rent them on the spot. Sanitary conditions in the camp: san.tent-toilet, camp washbasin.

Day 7 - Plosky Tolbachik volcano (elevation up to 2000 m) – New fractured eruption in 2012 – "Dead Forest"
Breakfast.
A walk through the "Dead Forest" destroyed by the eruption of the 70s.
The once rich pastures and all vegetation within a radius of several kilometers have been destroyed. These places have received the gloomy name "Dead Forest", where the dried-up treetops are visible from under a 7-meter layer of slag.
A stop near the place where the fragment of the crashed helicopter lies, making this place even more dramatic.
The entrance to the Kleshnya hill – from here the trail begins through the new lava flows of the 2012-2013 eruption.
The briefing.
Ascent to the slope of the Plosky Tolbachik volcano up to 1800-2000 m (about 3 hours).
Climbing to this height is enough not to waste extra energy and enjoy the panorama of the entire Tolbachinsky Valley, plowed by huge streams of already frozen lava and covered with a huge layer of slag for tens of kilometers around.
Fractured eruptions are characterized by the outpouring of large amounts of lava. They are also called "tourist" eruptions, because of the relative safety and photogenicity of the flowing lava rivers. This was the case in 2012: huge lava flows swept through the valley, filled up two scientific and tourist bases, streams with drinking water, roads and a nearby forest.

Return to the camp in the evening.

Day 8 - Return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

The final night of the tour will be provided at the 3* city hotel in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – the opportunity to use the infrastructure of the city.
