In general, there are mosquitoes on tourist routes, in some places there are many, but still not as many as in the Russian north. Geographically, mosquitoes are most common in the central part of the peninsula in the area of the volcanoes Tolbachik, Shiveluch, Kozyrevsk, Esso, and Lazo settlements. At the same time, there are much fewer mosquitoes in the mountains (in the zone of alpine meadows) compared to the forest zone. The most mosquito—like time is from mid-June (sometimes from the end of June) to the end of July. There are mosquitoes in August too, but not so many anymore. In September, there are almost no mosquitoes or not at all. Midges appear in August and mostly near the water, and there are usually not many of them. If you do not tolerate blood-sucking insects at all, then in addition to aerosols, we recommend having a mosquito net.

There have never been ticks in Kamchatka before. There is information that in the last decade the tick has spread to the territory of Kamchatka, but in extremely small numbers. We (guides, chefs) do not see ticks, our tourists have never been bitten by ticks. Therefore, you should not be afraid of ticks in Kamchatka, and even more so to get vaccinated.

Cellular Internet connection is available in all localities, including in Paratunka (Megafon and MTS are the best, but Beeline, Tele-2, Yota also work well). There is also a connection outside settlements at the following sites: at the Malkin hot springs, under the Avachinsky volcano, on the Khalaktyrsky beach, at the Country hot springs (unstable and only MTS with a Megaphone), under the Tolbachik volcano (extremely unstable). Thus, considering that the group never stays in one area for more than 3 days, you will be able to call and access the Internet during the tour at least once every 3 days, usually more often. The exception is hiking — there is no connection at all.

On the tourist routes of Kamchatka, the presence of snow in summer does not mean frost and subzero temperatures at all. A multi-meter thick layer of snow cannot melt quickly, and the largest snowfields melt throughout almost the entire summer. The air temperature in the summer months on mountain routes is usually from 8 to 20°C, depending on the weather.

Transfer from the airport with arrival at the monument "Here begins Russia":

• flight from Moscow 1730 arriving at 10:00 a.m., flight from Novosibirsk 5249 arriving at 10:20 a.m.;
• Flight 1734 from Moscow arriving at 13:10;
• flight 1738 from Moscow arriving at 15:30.

The arrival time of flights can be changed by airlines. 
Arrivals at other times can join these transfers.

Transfer to the airport with arrival at the fish market:

• departure is approximately at 08:45 — for flights 5250 and 1731;
• Departure is approximately at 11:45 a.m. for flights 1735 and 1739.

The exact time of the transfer is announced by the guide the day before.

Yes, you can go from the age of 10. But children should have travel experience with hiking and camping overnight.

Trekking poles are necessary for walking over rough terrain and, especially, for climbing uphill. Sticks help very well when climbing volcanoes, and especially complex volcanoes such as Avachinsky and Plosky Tolbachik. The sticks are not expensive and are folded quite compactly.

If you only need boots for 1 tour, then you can buy inexpensive trekking boots in Decathlon, Alloy, Wildberries stores. The main thing is that the shoes have waterproof and breathable properties. We highly recommend not to come in half-boots or sneakers, since ankle support is necessary on mountain trails.

Most of our tourists, when they buy a tour, count on camping meals in active tours of Kamchatka, that is, figuratively speaking, "buckwheat with stewed meat." In fact, our food is much more varied than you would expect from a camp kitchen.

In the early days, you will find sliced smoked red fish, then there is always sliced cheese and sausage on the table. Milk porridge is always prepared for breakfast (tourists often say that they have not eaten porridge since childhood and it turns out to be very tasty!) and often pancakes or cheesecakes.

Lunch can be quick in the form of a hearty snack — it depends on the place and time. For example, if it is an alloy, then stopping during the alloy for lunch, the chefs will not have time to make a full meal of the first and second. But there will definitely be the first and second in the evening. On the alloy, of course, this is the ear. The chefs also prepare various other first courses. The second course may be goulash and other meat dishes, although there may be "buckwheat with stewed meat" — it all depends on the place and time. Fish is also common, especially on rafting.

Caught fish is often baked in foil on the coals of a campfire.
For climbing, tourists are given a dry ration consisting of sandwiches, nuts, dried fruits (raisins, dried pineapples), a chocolate bar, a small pack of juice, and water.
There are always delicious sweets and cookies for tea.

When cooking, chefs take into account the conditions of the trip and the conditions of food storage, so that this does not adversely affect the health of tourists. Similarly, first of all, dishes are prepared with fresh meat and fish, and stew and canned fish remain for the last days. For example, it is not safe to cut fish in a five—day segment, as in the best case there will be claims that they are not fed fresh fish, and in the worst case - poisoning.

Attention! The cook prepares food for a group, and he does not have the opportunity to cook for everyone personally, as in a restaurant. At the same time, vegetarians will never go hungry, there will always be an opportunity to choose a meal without meat. But the cook does not have the opportunity to cook personally for raw food eaters, fruit growers and other adherents of special nutrition systems. Insurance is issued independently in addition to the tour.
For tours in Kamchatka, you must specify the following points in the section "Sports and active recreation":

1. "trekking", "mountain trekking";
2. "rafting" — if the tour includes rafting on the river;
3. downhill skiing — only for the winter tour;
4. "evacuation by helicopter."

In case of stormy weather, the sea tour "In search of marine animals" will be replaced by a tour of Avacha Bay or to Starichkov Island, with a refund of 4,000 rubles per person.

The ascent of the volcano may not take place due to bad weather, in which case other excursions will be organized in the area of the volcano.

In the absence of access to Mutnovsky volcano (this sometimes happens, usually in July), the program of the three-day segment of the tour "Mutnovo- Gorelaya Volcano Group" will be structured as follows:

• Day 1. Ascent to Gorely volcano.
• Day 2. Small Valley of geysers (Country hot springs) + Snow Leopard waterfall.
• Day 3. Mini-ascent to the Vilyuchinsky waterfall (40 meters high), located on the slopes of the Vilyuchinsky volcano.

The program of this segment of the tour can be structured differently, based on the weather and traffic conditions. And also during these 3 days it is possible to visit lava caves under favorable road and weather conditions.

We mainly accommodate in double rooms. Tourists who come one at a time, we settle together with another participant of our tour (man to man, woman to woman). If it was not possible to combine, then the tourist is lucky — he will be alone in the room, no additional payment is required.

There are a lot of bears in Kamchatka, it's true, and our tourists often see them, especially on rafting. In the vast majority of cases, bears keep their distance from humans. The subject of their diet is fish, berries, mushrooms, roots. Sometimes there are bears who beg for food waste in places of mass parking (there are tourists and just vacationers who are irresponsible about nature and others, leaving behind garbage and waste). The fate of such bears is always shooting by specialized hunters. Our guides always have the following tools for such cases: flares, a hunter's signal, pepper gas against bears. 

• if you arrive 1-2 days earlier, then a meeting at the airport is also carried out, provided that you arrive before 15:30;
• if you arrive 4 days earlier than the tour, there will be no transfer, we recommend using taxi services (compensation for refusal of transfer is not provided);
• if you leave later than the scheduled end date of the tour, then our transfer to the airport will not be available, we recommend using taxi services (compensation for refusal of transfer is not provided);
• you need to book additional accommodation yourself, and we, in turn, will tell you which hotel you will stay in as part of the tour.
