We took into account all the wishes and dedicated this route to volcanoes, the hottest and most famous places in Kamchatka.

This tour provides overnight stays in cabins and tents, and removals in off—road vehicles.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Volcanarium and Halaktyrsky beach
We will meet at the hostel at 10:00 local time.
We leave our things and go on an excursion to the Volcanarium. On the tour we will learn many facts about the volcanoes of Kamchatka and the world.
In this museum, the exhibits can be touched and viewed. We will launch clouds, enter a lava cave, and watch the lava flow form. We'll also take a selfie against the backdrop of the erupting Kamchatka volcanoes.
After the tour, we are met by a shift shift, and we go to the Khalaktyrsky beach of the Pacific Ocean. Yes, yes, the one with the black volcanic sand.
The roar of the waves. Seagulls. Seashells. Meditation. You can dive into the salty ocean waves. Running and screaming loudly. Paradise.
We'll eat fish soup, and then we'll return to the hostel, have dinner at a cafe (not included in the price) and go to bed, as we'll have an early check-out tomorrow.

Day 2 - Gorely Volcano
The first few days will be especially busy: we get up early, have breakfast and drive an all-terrain vehicle to the southern group of volcanoes.
In about 4-5 hours we will drive 110 km (the exact time depends on the condition of the roads).
The first in our program is the active Gorely volcano with a height of 1829 m. We get to the place, arrange a snack and go climbing.
The climb is not difficult, we have to gain ~ 700-750 m in height and walk 4.5 km back and forth.
In good weather, we will not only look into two of the eleven Gorely craters, but also see the Vilyuchinsky volcano.
After climbing, we will have a return trip to the camp and lunch.
After lunch, if we have time and energy, we will visit the lava caves.
In the evening, we'll share our impressions over dinner, find out the plan for the next day, and go to bed. Overnight in tents.

Day 3 - Waterfall in the canyon is Dangerous
Today we also have an early ascent and a waterfall in the Dangerous canyon. This is an amazing waterfall! Its height is about 80 meters. The view opens to 50-60 meters. The rest of the water's power plunges into a glacier that has been frozen for years.
Look around and believe that you are almost at the Grand Canyon. Unbelievable!
After that, we have a snack and go to the parking lot. We have dinner and go to bed. Overnight in tents.

Day 4 - Small Valley of geysers
Today we will visit the Small Valley of Geysers. This place has nothing to do with the famous Valley of Geysers, but the views here are also very impressive.
Hot springs are an active fumarole field, the gases of which heat the cold water of a mountain stream, and as a result, fountains of hot water and steam can be observed. In addition, there are hot springs with blue clay, where you can swim.
We have lunch and move to the village of Paratunka. On the way, we will stop at the waterfall on the Calm stream. Let's stop at the recreation center. Hurray! Civilization: shower, cellular connection, electricity and real beds.

Day 5 - Ethnic village and transfer to Avacha volcano
We have breakfast at the recreation center in Paratunka (breakfast is included in the price) and go to the ethnic village. Here we can get acquainted with the way of life of the indigenous peoples of the peninsula.
We will see the yarangi with traditional decorations, and a concert of aborigines will give vivid impressions — fascinating harp playing, national songs and scenes from the life of hunters, the smell of herbal tea — and all this against the backdrop of lakes and volcanoes. We will even master a few movements of the national dance.
We will have lunch in a warm yurt-like yaranga, and we will try local Kamchatka fish soup and tortillas cooked over a campfire.
As a souvenir, you can take photos in national costumes and buy handmade souvenirs made of bone and wood.
After lunch, we will drive to the foot of the Avacha volcano. The journey will take about 2 hours (70 km). Upon arrival, we settle down in cabins (for 10 people, shower for a fee, toilet outside), have dinner and enjoy the views of the slumbering giant under the first stars in the anthracite Kamchatka sky.

Day 6 - Avacha Volcano climbing
Today will be a special day, because we have to climb the Avacha volcano.
We will walk 15 km radially, and the height difference from the starting point to the top will be greater than when climbing Elbrus: 1900 m. The heights, of course, are not the same, but in Kamchatka, due to the difficult climate, the "gornyashka" comes earlier than in the Caucasus.
We walk light, admire the stunning views of the Koryak volcano and the Pacific Ocean, take short breaks to relax and take selfies. If the weather is good, we have every chance of getting to the top. Everything here is smoking, boiling and bursting with heat, surrounded by a riot of colors. The ochre, brick, and gray-black colors of volcanic rocks are mixed with yellow-green shades of sulfur deposits, and snow-white snows and glaciers are visible in the distance.
Right at the top, we have a snack and start the descent. When we get to the camp, we share our impressions, pack our things and return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky or Yelizovo in 1.5 hours (50 km) (the exact name of the hostel can be clarified with a consultant).

Day 7 - Boat trip to Russian Bay
Today we have a boat trip around the Russian Bay. During the tour, we will see Avacha Bay, the famous Three Brothers Rocks, the Starichkov Island Nature Reserve and the sea lion rookery at Cape Kekurny, and if we are lucky (and in 99.9% of cases we are lucky), we will see killer whales and maybe even whales.
Kamchatka landscapes will amaze us with their pristine beauty: majestic cliffs, turquoise ocean waters, waterfalls and secluded coves.
Exciting sea fishing awaits us — the caught fish will be cooked for us right on board, as well as crab tasting.
The sea trip takes a whole day (10 hours).
After returning to the city, we have dinner at a cafe (not included in the price) and spend the night at a hostel.
On the last evening, we arrange gatherings, share our impressions of the hike, exchange contacts and thank each other for the company.

Day 8 - Departure day
We get up early, pack up quickly and go to the market. There is a lot of choice on the market, and we recommend that you estimate in advance how many fish, caviar, magnets and other local souvenirs you are going to buy. You can pay in cash or by card at the market, and caviar and fish will be packed for the plane.
All the gifts have been purchased, and it's time to say goodbye to Kamchatka and new friends and hug one last time. It's a little sad, but we know for sure that volcanoes and the ocean will wait for us until the next meeting. Goodbye, wonderful land of the world!

A real volcano hike awaits you. This is NOT an easy walk! The route is assigned a difficulty of 2/5, this is only because all crossings are light (without backpacks). Otherwise, this is a real hike, don't be fooled by the apparent lightness :)

We will walk a lot (up to 20 km a day), up and down volcanoes and trails, sometimes with very steep slopes, and sometimes without a trail at all (elevation differences of 1000 meters!).

In total, we will cover about 80 km in eight days of the tour and gain almost 3,000 m altitude! To cope with this, you need to be in good physical shape.

The requirements for the participants are good physical condition, readiness for the declared loads and accommodation in tents in different weather conditions. Travel experience is optional.

It's important to know

It is very important to choose the appropriate equipment for each hike. Properly selected equipment is the key to your good mood and comfort on the route.

The weather in Kamchatka is poorly predictable and can be very changeable. In one hike, you can both "melt" from the heat, rubbing yourself with a snowball at rest stops, and get into real bad weather — prolonged rains and strong winds. The temperature drop is quite noticeable day and night, slight frosts are quite possible at night.
