Trails of Pyatigorsk

You will see the observation pavilion, the Aeolian Harp, the grotto of Diana and the beautiful Flower Garden Park, as well as taste the healing waters of the drinking gallery.

But the highlight of the day will be climbing the majestic Mashuk Mountain!

During the excursion program, you will climb Mount Mashuk, which occupies a special place in history and literature.

The height of the mountain reserve is almost 994 m, and the ascent will take place along the trail of the Bernardazzi brothers, the main architects of the city.

The observation deck at the top offers a magnificent view of the panorama of the Main Caucasian Ridge, headed by Elbrus.

After having a lunch box at the top, you will go down to the hotel and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Transfer to Kislovodsk.

A walk through the Middle Park and a climb to the Mountain Park will give you an unforgettable experience.

While walking along the slopes of the Djinal range, you will admire the views of the city, and from Maloe Sedlo Mountain you will have a stunning view of Elbrus and the endless expanses of the Caucasus.

The mountain seems low, only 1325m above sea level, but it towers over the city and is a great place to relax and admire the surroundings.

If you wish to see the laccolith mountains of Pyatigorsk - Beshtau and Mashuk, as well as the endless spurs of the Pasture Range, relax among the mountain grasslands overlooking Elbrus, the guide will take you to the observation deck of Bolshoe Sedlo Mountain (1400 m above sea level).

After a rest and lunch (lunch box), you will return on foot along one of the picturesque therapeutic terraces of the park.

After breakfast at the hotel, a transfer will take you to another city in the region – Zheleznovodsk.

It is famous for its cozy, chamber park with magnificent ancient and modern architectural monuments, such as the villa of the Emir of Bukhara, Pushkin Gallery, Stone of Desires.

However, your path lies further into the mountains surrounding the city.

The first stop that will be waiting for you along the way is Iron Mountain.

After climbing the serpentine to the top, you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the laccolith mountains and the city of Zheleznovodsk itself.

Next, terrencourt will lead you to the cave of primitive man, Saltpeter rocks and to the Snake Mountain.

Snake Mountain is an ideal place for a short but vibrant trekking. This ancient volcanic mountain, 15 million years old, is part of the Large Mineralogical Group of volcanoes and reaches a height of 589 meters.

The route passes along the slopes of a lava dome formed by dense andesite-basalt lava, and along the way you can see unique geological outcrops — a real discovery for nature and science lovers.

The length of the trails is from 3 to 7 km, the ascent will take only 1-2 hours. From the top there is a fascinating view of Pyatigorsk, Beshtau, Koltso, Iron Mountain, Mineral Waters and endless steppes.

This is a route for everyone — suitable for both beginners and experienced tourists, and the atmosphere of the place makes the walk unforgettable.

The program of the day can be adjusted depending on the degree of preparation of the group.

After the walk— transfer back to the hotel in Pyatigorsk.

"Five mountains" is how the name of the mountain is translated from the Turkic language.

That is why the resort town, lying at the foot of the famous laccolith, was named Pyatigorsk, and the entire region as a whole is commonly referred to as Pyatigorsk.

The ascent to the top will take place along the trail laid by the Caucasian Mining Society back in 1902.

Climbing to the top will take from 1.5 to 3 hours and will require physical expenses, however, they will be more than compensated for by the impressions and incredible landscapes!
