You will have an excursion to the first Russian resort of Marcial Waters, a nature reserve and Kivach waterfall, a master class on cooking national Karelian pastries, as well as the opportunity to choose additional excursions to suit your taste and have a rich free day.

The tour runs from September 9th to December 28th on any day upon request for groups of 2 people or more.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Petrozavodsk. The art object "Valley of the Hares". Marcial Waters Resort. Kivach Nature Reserve
Arrival in Petrozavodsk by train No. 018A.
Meeting of the group with a sign at the central entrance to the station from the platform (for groups from St. Petersburg, train No. 12, arrival 07:00, waiting for the arrival of train No. 018).
Buffet breakfast in the restaurant.
Departure for a country trip.
Stop at the art object "Valley of the Hares".
The Valley of the Hares is a place that is open to both adults and children. And what could be more impressive than a rock with a thousand hares?
Artist Sergey Gapanovich set out to carve 1,000 hares on a rock, and now he has managed to embody about 600 hares. Everyone will find for themselves the reason why hares live in the valley, and perhaps they will want to become the owner of a new big-eared animal on the body of the rock.
An excursion to the first Russian resort of Marcial Waters, founded by Peter I, with a tasting of water from 4 ferruginous springs, a visit to the Church of the Apostle Peter, which was built according to the project of Peter I.
Transfer to Kivach Nature Reserve with a visit to one of the largest lowland waterfalls in Europe.
Kivach is a waterfall framed by diabase rocks. The Song River, which is slow until a certain time, suddenly breaks down in seething streams, overcoming four ledges, which makes the waterfall very spectacular.
Inspection of the Karelian birch arboretum.
The arboretum Collection, founded in 1948, is the result of scientific experiments on the cultivation in Karelia of fast—growing, technically valuable and suitable for landscaping cities and towns of tree and shrub species from other climatic zones.
Lunch.
Transfer to the hotel.

Transfer to Ruskeala Mountain Park.
On the way, stop at Tohmajoki Waterfall.
This is a very picturesque place, the waterfall flows into a small lake closed from all sides by high shores, from different shores of which there are different views of the waterfall.
Ruskeala Marble Canyon Tour.
During this tour you will get acquainted with the unique natural landscapes. For more than 70 years (until the middle of the nineteenth century), decorative light gray marble was broken out in local quarries to decorate the temples and palaces of St. Petersburg, the fountains of Petrodvorets, the columns of Tsarskoye Selo and Gatchina. Magical lakes with clear water in a beautiful Ruskeal marble bowl will make an indelible impression.
Free time. The opportunity to have an independent lunch on the territory of the mountain park, as well as take advantage of additional services of the Mountain Park: rowing boat rental, trolling, visiting the Underground Ruskeala tour," visiting the exposition of the history of mining.
Return to Petrozavodsk.
Excursion to Kizhi Island from Petrozavodsk on the ship "Comet". The duration is 6 hours.
The program includes a transfer by high–speed vessel "Kometa" to Kizhi Island (travel time 1 hour and 15 minutes), a sightseeing tour of the Kizhi Museum - Reserve, an inspection of the masterpieces of wooden architecture, which are included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.
Return to Petrozavodsk.

Siberian Husky dogs are considered one of the most beautiful breeds. These cheerful animals were bred by the Chukchi tribes as irreplaceable riding assistants and loyal friends.
The Husky kennel presents truly beautiful and powerful dogs, as they regularly go tracking in the summer and run in a sled in winter with guests.
In the kennel you will be able to get to know and even make friends with energetic animals.
Lunch in the plague by the hearth.
Culinary master class on cooking national Karelian pastries - "gates".
At the culinary master class, you will be able to cook the pearl of Karelian cuisine, kalitki, under the guidance of a chef.
For hundreds of years, these small Karelian pies have been baked from unleavened rye dough with fillings of millet and mashed potatoes.
Departure for an interactive excursion program to the national Karelian village of Kindasovo.
In the village of Kindasovo, the culture of the Karelian Luddiks and the peculiar Kindas humor are uniquely combined.
Arriving there, you will find yourself in a fairy tale! You can enjoy the silence of the Karelian forest, breathe in the intoxicating pine air!
Only here you will be treated to real Karelian pies and fragrant tea with herbs!
You will hear the enchanting sounds of kantele and jouhikko, find out what eiga is, why Karel needs a big house and who is in charge of the village.
Return to Petrozavodsk.
Transfer to the railway station. You will be at the railway station by 18:00.
Departure home.

The host company organized our entire vacation in Karelia, and our wonderful guide, Olga, accompanied us everywhere, always making sure we were handed over smoothly to the next person. We were met, assisted, and transferred at every step. Everything was excellent!!! So many positive emotions!!! Our group was fantastic too! It’s a shame our time in Karelia went by so quickly.
