We will meet you in Petrozavodsk in the morning and go to the Northern cuisine restaurant for breakfast.
We will be served draniki with Onega trout and scramble with dried tomatoes, accompanied by a glass of refreshing sparkling wine.
We are having a leisurely breakfast, getting to know each other and looking forward to exploring the edge of a thousand lakes!
After breakfast, we will stop at the famous Kivach waterfall.
This place is the pride of Karelia, because Kivach is the second largest lowland waterfall in Europe after the Rhine. Incredibly beautiful and majestic!
The waterfall is located on the territory of the reserve. Let's take a walk and take some pictures.
Along the way, we will also see the Valley of the Hares, a one—of-a-kind art object near Petrozavodsk. This is a modern and cute likeness of petroglyph rock paintings.
After the walk, we head to the restaurant of modern Karelian cuisine for lunch.
We are waiting for the gastronomic performance "Karelia" from the chef, consisting of 7 serves!
For an appetizer, we will taste salted caviar ice cream with trout and grouse caviar, toasts with burnt moose and venison tripe and a crispy horn with mushroom caviar.
Then we will try lochikeitto and Pomeranian fish soup with kelp in a modern interpretation by the chef of the restaurant.
Next course, we'll taste dried duck with juniper mayonnaise.
For the hot meal, we will be served a dish of salmon, halibut and walleye with parmesan cheese and mashed young peas with mint.
We will finish the lunch with lingonberry mousse and a gate with cloudberries, accompanied by tea with Karelian herbs.
After a gastronomic lunch, we go to check into our country hotel.
We will live in cabins right on the shore of Lake Onega!
All houses have panoramic views of the lake and, of course, with all amenities.
Silence, clean air, stunning views, surrounded by forest and water — relax!
According to our tradition, a compliment will be waiting for you in the room: a bottle of sparkling wine with fruit! You will have some time to relax in your room.
In the evening, an outdoor dinner will be organized for us from the invited chef.
